THE QUEEN OF HEARTS | Alice Drake Left. Right. Left. Right. Alice swiped the arrows out of the air as soon as they approached her with her twin blades. This ranger's abilities were unlike anything she'd seen before as the woman teleported out of reach effortlessly. Alice knew she could get up there to meet her but she also knew that climbing would leave her open to fire and that the ranger likely would have moved by the time Alice would get anywhere near her position. "Why are all archers such cowards!" Alice proclaimed in frustration. She hated it, anyone who relied on ranged-weapons always shied from the fight. They valued strategy and careful game-making over the heat of battle. That wasn't the way of a warrior.
CRIMSON | Thomas Drake Crimson flourished the sword in his hand as he took a step back. He kissed his teeth immediately before charging in again. 'This is easy. This is childsplay.' That's what Crimson thought to himself. Maybe that was why - when he struck forward with another slash - he had left himself open.

- HUNTER -
He remembered the training sessions with Lilly and with James, the idea that they would become better fighters, together, that they would work, together. That thought seemed so folly now, now that it didn't matter, they could be the best fighters the world had ever seen and with the pain that they endured, Luke knew they weren't going to make it out of this in the best shape. His burnt scars still pierced his skin with pain and set his mind ablaze.
However, the battle still raged on. Luke smirked as he saw his opponent lash at him, falling for the bait as he suddenly swept his sword to the side, metal on metal clashing before he aimed towards their sword hand. He couldn't win the fight through brutality, but with the pain that was going through him, he had to fight back, even if it was somewhat dirty. And so he knew what to do, he would have to disarm them, give him back a more level playing field and only hope he could continue to fend them off.

- INDRAN - As Indran had been watching Ali tend to Clyde, he had stepped out of the tent. He was looking at the bridge, watching the duels from where he was. Some were one on one, using blades, others with guns. Some were with multiple people, either ganging up on one person or being pushed back by multiple people with guns. He could hear gunfire and the clash of blades from here. They would need to act fast if they wanted to save people after the battle. He even saw the flash of a few explosions. He felt the need to go over there and pull people over here to get them help.

CRIMSON | Thomas Drake Crimson grunted in annoyance as Hunter's blade impacted the side of his own, the metal hilt and guard crushing against Crimson's hand. The pain was quick and intense, a stabbing pulse that wrenched Crimson's sword from his hand. Crimson watched the blade soar through the air, hitting the floor and clattering along the concrete. He growled in reply, turning back to face Hunter as he swung with a mighty punch to the centre of his opponent's chest.
APOLLO | Jay Hearne Jay looked to Chase as she spoke. She was right, there was no point in being cocky and jumping right into the thick of it for the sake of it. But right before he had any chance to agree vocally a whirlwind a shrapnel surged through the air surround the battle. Jay watched as the shrapnel, seemingly made of mystically-enhanced paper, shredded dozens of men into guts and gore. He spat, clearing his throat as his eyes narrowed with rage and determination, turning fully black once more. "Ms. Chase- uh, Nemesis," he said to get her attention, "We need to stop this thing before it tears everyone on that bridge apart."

The fight carried on, Luke saw flames flicker across the landscape of snow, dying and burning once again, creating some light which was quickly dispensed in the harsh darkness, the sun creating streaks of blood on the battlefield. Luke saw the sword of his opponent crash onto the ground, a fair distance away, and now he had to simply keep them both away from ever returning it. His minute victory was only that, minute, as he felt himself punched in the chest, the pain resulted in a stifled grunt and Luke stumbling back slightly, making him almost slip on the snow. He didn't make a move, not yet, regaining his footing as he waited to see what the man would do next.

ROGUE | Natalia Vargas Swiftly Natalia traversed from rooftop to rooftop with the combined effort of her great, honed finesse and the Rogue-1's supporting capabilities. With her came her brother who's steely determination, ape-like strength and devastatingly powerful Warlock-1 power suit allowed him to move with great bounds. Quickly, they found their way to the surrounding area of the Citadel where they happened upon a small encampment. Multiple medical facilities; tents, trucks and ambulances were scattered sporadically as a host of civilian-tier randoms, decorated with the already iconic symbol of the almighty Tower, skittered around in a mad panic. "Which one of you is the commander?" Natalia bellowed upon approaching the camp in her Costa Rican (yet mistakable for Spanish) accent. Behind her stood her brother who loomed over her in both height and tone.
CRIMSON | Thomas Drake Crimson took a deep breath, taking a martial arts stance as he welcome Hunter's challenge. 'I'll show you I'm more than just some guy with a sword' he thought to himself, reading himself for whatever this worm of a man could throw at him.
Emma Fitzgerald Dabbing the remains of baked beans from the corners of her mouth with the side of her hand, Emma sat back satisfied, she had grown quite adept at stretching out portions over the last few years. The shopping was done, the house was clean, dinner was cooked and eaten and night had fallen. All in a day's work! But as Emma curled up on the sofa in a blanket with a cup of cocoa she groaned as unfinished business crept into mind. Throwing herself to her feet like the moody teenager she once was, Emma pulled herself into the kitchen where she produced a plastic container from an above cupboard. Today was coming to a close but she realised she was yet to prepare for tomorrow. Assuming this battle at The Citadel would not disrupt 'business as usual' in the city, Emma would need to make a packed lunch for the morning because God knew she'd neglect to in the morning out of grogginess and forgetfulness, rushing out the door only to release as she arrived that she'd forgotten. So she had to prepare the night before. A packet of crisps, a filled bottle of water, some grapes and one ham and cheese sandwich with no crusts - the details were important. As she packed these all in the plastic tub and left the container on the kitchen worktop her day's work was finally done and Emma was finally able to go to bed.

His breaths were still heavy, he could watch the steam escape his lips and soar into the open air, dispersing itself in front of him as he tried to focus, tried to ignore the throbbing pain that was in his head. The sound of battle enhanced and blurred all at once, following no pattern in their change. It was when he saw the man pose, getting ready to fight back, that he knew that eventually, he would have to strike, and so he did. Luke swept forward, the sword readied at his side as he attempted to slice the opponent from the left side to the right.

Lazarus and Athena Athena was working in the back of the security van, and looked up as she heard somebody yelling out for the commander. The cameras showed two people, both in power suits. Sarah looked at the Tower security officer working alongside her, "If they attack, call Sanator immediately, and get all patients you can get away from here." The man nodded and Sarah picked up a sleek revolver on the desk and pressed her thumb on the metal by the hammer, the backs of the bullets in the magazine glowed a dim blue. Athena took a deep breath and stepped out of the van, where Lazarus was waiting.Dominic, dressed in a dark blue uniform with a light blue armband with a caduceus indicating he was a doctor, had picked up a more traditional looking gun, though the Hephaestus Industries' logo was on the handle, and it was likely that it was anything but a basic handgun. He also picked up a small disk and put it in his pocket before going out to the front of the barricades with his wife, where Tower security forces were pointing their weapons at the two strangers.Sarah quickly gave the two strangers a run down, gripping the revolver by her side and in sight, to show that they weren't defenseless, then spoke, looking directly at the two who had walked up, "We're in command here. But if you're looking for trouble, go somewhere else, we're only assisting civilians."Pathfinder Pathfinder glanced at Starlass before leaning against against a half-wall going around the roof and turning back to look at the fight, analyzing the losses on each side mentally. Whatever Starlass's problems were were her own business, and if she wanted to keep them to herself, that was completely fine for him.

CRIMSON | Thomas Drake As the blade came hurling towards him Crimson acted fast, blocking the swing with his raised right gauntlet while delivering a quick jab with his left hand followed by an outstretched kick. Crimson would admit - thought maybe not to anyone but himself - he was impressed by the kid's prowess and unrelenting will. He'd missed that.
ROGUE | Natalia Vargas Natalia didn't relent as the woman sized her and her brother up. "We recieved a distress signal from a... 'Warden(?)'" she spoke in a strictly professional tone, standing to attention with no eye contact, "And now here we are. Where is this warden?"

Luke's eyes widened as he saw his opponent block his sword, he looked at the face of his foe trying to sense if there was any pain, or anything – nothing. He was shocked, wondering what kind of gauntlet he was wearing. Before he could even react, he saw the next gauntlet heading toward him, smashing in his face, his eyes barely having time to open before he was kicked and thrown to the ground. The back of his head and the side of his face, bruised.
He staggered back up, not stumbling this time around as he quickly glanced at the foe, glaring at them as he knew he had to get rid of those gauntlets, or do something. It was then when he noticed, the sniper rifle, glinting on his back. The guns, that were in the man's jacket. The same ones he could pull out and possibly be done with him, if Luke was too slow, strayed too far from cover. Luke slowly walked closer, trying to figure out a way to get behind him, as he raised his sword, not striking yet, simply just moving and watching.

- JONATHAN KRAMER - It won't work, goddamnit it won't work!
Nariko was packing heat, good heat, but they had the same ID checks that his weapons used. The difference was that she got hers checked to be EMP resistant. He sighed as another section of his life leaked out of him, before... "HIGH CHANCELLOR!" He and the two officers looked towards the doorway, as a member of the mice ran out carrying a box. "We found this!" the mouse said, before handing Jonathan a note. The note confused him. It was short, it was to the point, but the content itself had nothing that would make clear of it all. All he knew was that there were weapons inside, ancient ones, ones that didn't have the ID check on them. Might've been difficult to smuggle in, but whatever, so long as it wasn't killing him. Three assault rifles, high calibre sniper, and a high calibre handgun. He claimed the handgun, and the two officers with the mouse claimed the other weapons, with him calling over another officer to take the absent rifle. Ripley and Felix were blimps on the radar, they were blobs of flesh that wasn't the focus. They weren't dying, they weren't fighting, it gave him some form of tranquillity. He ran upstairs and onto the gate. They all aimed a several groups of enemies away from friendlies. They aimed for soldiers and ringleaders. Five triggers pulled, five explosives of gunpowder fired, five pieces of lead flies towards to battlefield. Kramer collapsed from the effort and looked at the air above him. The rock under him was still dormant, and it felt like it wouldn't come back to life as he was on the earth. He focused on his breathing, he needed to stay, he needed to see it through. He needed to see her again.

~ Snowflake ~ Some of the bruises had slightly changed colour, a good sign that Snowflake’s healing powers were working as effectively as they normally did. Snowflake pulled a crooked, pained grin and lifted her head slightly to look at Reaver, then turned her attention to the chaos on the bridge. “Yeah, you’re right. It seems like the Citadel’s forces are falling back anyway,” she looked back at Reaver, “You go and have some more fun Reaves. I’ll stay back on the off chance my brother tries to barge past this chaos- if he’s not barricaded himself in the Citadel.” She slipped the bra strap back over her shoulder, an action that caused her to grit her teeth involuntarily. She pulled at the top of her suit lying in her lap and smirked. “Before you go back, would you mind?”

Nariko looked at the dwindling forces of the Broker, and hefted her rifle. It was time to bring this mess to a close, with a brute force approach. Even as the Broker's force brought their new equipment to bear, Nariko was giving the order. "Adamant Marauders! Tear them apart!" She bellowed, and began to advance with her men behind her. They poured fire onto their outnumbered foes, closing until they would reach the Citadel's gates themselves.
Reaver smiled softly at Snow's apparent cheer- good spirits said she was feeling better. The idea was oddly pleasing. The next request was expected, if as awkward as ever. "Yeah, sure." Reaver quietly agreed, before gently helping Snow with her clothes, taking great effort to avoid bringing extra pain to the injured woman. Her eyes, as before, didn't know where to go, so the entire experience was an exercise in self-control and self-consciousness. When she was finally finished, she stood back sharply, and nodded with a grin that hid everything underneath. "Alright Snow, I'll be back soon. Look after yourself, okay?"

CRIMSON | Thomas Drake Crimson exhaled as he marched up to his staggering adversary. He was done playing. Effortlessly Crimson wrung his hand around Hunter's wrist, thrusting his sword arm downwards and Crimson's other hand gripped his throat. Crimson lifted him off of the ground, switching off the opaque white lenses of his domino mask to reveal the rage in his icy blue eyes. "Listen to me," he growled, "I'm not going to kill you unless its absolutely -" his grip tightened, "- necessary." His left arm holding Hunter off of the ground, Crimson raised his right arm to gesture with his finger, fiercely pointing it towards his foe, "So listen to me when I tell you to stay... down!"
