- JONATHAN KRAMER - The red light above them shone down and reflected from the blood that laid itself onto the stones of the fortress. It was bright, and it shone through the snowfall. Kramer took a moment to stare at the shining star and lowered his weapon. The field was silent, all focused on this light, and at that point he felt some weight hit one of his shoulders. He felt it and observed it. It seemed the warnings reigned true, the rain had arrived, and it was transitioning into a complete downpour, but the change of weather made him think of another thing. Didn't take much thought, it only took a moment of silence. His smile grew, and with it a slow laugh started to speed up. It was slightly wheezy, but it was something he couldn't stop. He got louder and and louder, and the laughter started to echo throughout the space between one gate and the other.

- ACCHILLEUS -
Acchilleus spun on his heels, more confused than anything as he heard The Broker, laughing, the laughter echoing as The Vipers continued to all stare at the red light that was in the sky, watching it as soon as it started to descend, it matched the blood light of the sky. Acchilleus looked around at the others, wondering if there was some sort of understanding that he simply didn't know about. However, there were looks of confusion, and shock upon the faces of the other Vipers, the chaos of the battle still continuing.
He turned to look at The Broker, simply shocked to see his laughter, glancing at him, wondering what was happening.
“Why are you laughing?”

- JONATHAN KRAMER - The man kept laughing, the absurdness of it all was strange enough to keep tickling him. In a moment of catching his breath, he noticed that Acchilleus turned his attention back to him, he at least deserved an answer. He calmed down only momentarilly. "Two things, two big things." He cleared his throat, but he was still struggling. "Number one, you arrived at the worst possible time..." "...because the city is holding council elections next week. And another thing, one critical thing." He leaned forward towards Acchilleus. His voice was toned down. "You just admitted your murderous vices on national television!" He returned to his laughter, holding it was too much effort.

- ACCHILLEUS -
“I knew about the election,” replied Acchilleus, still visibly confused. The national television angle would only make things more difficult for him, but even when he knew about the election and now this, he was still confused. If he had known all of this then it still didn't answer his question, it still never made sense to him. “Well, if you also knew all of this, then why are you only laughing now...” Acchilleus paused, his voice breaking off as he turned to see a large cloud of smoke had formed at the other end of the bridge, and as he did, the world seemed to pause, the sounds of the battle fading out as The Vipers continued to look onward. And then they saw it, people beginning to pour out the smoke, armed and ready. All of them walking in the direction of The Vipers. Acchilleus didn't have time to comprehend what was going on as he suddenly found himself launched away from The Broker, Lilly Jones returning to finish the job as the two of them quickly continued their battle, motion returning to The Vipers who continued their fighting as Acchilleus left The Broker behind, now having to focus on a new enemy, as he was dragged further away from the man, possibly never seeing him again.

- CLAUDIA KRAMER - They stood in the thick smoke, the sound of battle only in front of them, and the downpour previously warned began to build a frightening momentum. Deep breath. "You ready?"
"...so we got the back-line planned out but even accomplishing that is going to be a problem." The mouse was right, the battleline was thick, and with the folks within the meat grinder they wouldn't be able to wait for Sarkov to get the go-ahead on much needed equipment. Claudia sank into the table. "Goddammit, we need something now. We got this horrible cocktail, so how can we break through it or divert enough of them?" The mouse looked at the map. "We could try climbing but it would be too risky with the weather an all, grappling hooks would be the same, but if we could drive a car down the line to be an effective battering ram then it would be enough to buy some time." "Big problem there, it would take too much time to get the car on the right track, and even then they're going to see it coming. Plus the lives it could cost, we might be taking out one of our own." Claudia's head lifted up. They had the right track, but the car was too dangerous. They needed something, something...striking.
"You ready?" The blade unsheathed itself by the time the question was up. "Ready," said Andras. Claudia smiled, the v-shaped rows were ready. "FOR THE CITADEL!" The mice roared the mighty roar, and Andras lead the charge.

- THE QUEEN OF ROSES -
Mira's plan had now come into action. Two months and a few days she had been wrestling with this torment, the things she had to be subject to, with Seth being her only lifeline, the one person she trusted with this plan, the one who helped her make it. The signs had all been there, she had to get close to Acchilleus, she had to give up, Lilly, Luke, and James, and then things were threatened when The Broker had almost fired her, risked her family in the process. Claudia was then sent to manage her, like a child, and she knew from then that she and Seth had to speed up the battle, catch Acchilleus off guard and so they forced his hand. She sent more Little Mice than needed on a “break” for today, made the announcement that Acchilleus was falsely leading Vipers into war, rallying his troops. Acchilleus would be forced to then either attack or wait for an investigation or lose support from the public and for The Safe Zone to die a quiet death.
But that didn't happen. Mira knew Acchilleus would do nothing more than just launch his troops and hope for the best, and they would have won too, if not for the Little Mice, and the people that would help lead them including her, now they were armed and ready, ready to stop the Vipers and Acchilleus. Mira didn't care for The Broker, didn't even much care for The Citadel. But she knew the old saying, better the devil you know than the devil you don't. So here she was, once more, the queen of roses to help lead an army of Mice against the Vipers and all she could do was hope that it would be enough, as she already spotted clusters of Vipers making their way towards their army on the other side of the bridge.

-Wild Card- still firing at the police officer with Ms Diamond by his side something casued him to look over to entrance of the bridge, just as he looked his earpiece rang "Lutte vic what you got?" he said into it as he ducked down to cover "a few cars pulled up moments ago, some lady with sword and a bunch of mice heading your way" Lutte vic said looking through his scope, "you couldnt have told me this sooner?" Wild card said as he fired a few rounds at the police officer "sorry boss had a few problems of my own" he said looking back at a few mercs trying to take him out "should i take lead out?" Lutte vic said looking back into his scope aiming at the woman with the blade "no, if she gets to close we'll see her, but you can take out some of the big guns they have, knowing Mr Kramer hes gone all out" Wild card said looking over "will do" Lutte vic said aiming at one of the mice ready to fire

- FROZEN ICE -
Lilly was tired, mentally and physically. Stream after stream of water could not contain or quell the beast she faced, dragging them away from The Broker, hoping to finish them off. The reinforcements and the dispersal of many of The Vipers gave her some small hope, that maybe Luke was right, maybe her own beloved brother was going to be the hero that he was before, greater even.
Was she going to join him?
Questions distracted her as she cast her attacks on the wild man, the earth moving under her and equally attacking her back. It was when she dodged another boulder, when she saw her brother, on the floor, gasping for dear life as she spotted the man next to him. Lilly looked between the two, Acchilleus and the man that threatened her brother, and she made her choice. As she cast a stream of water to smash into the man, she rushed over to her brother, helping him up quickly, she could barely get her worries out as she saw the horrific injuries her brother had to endure. Burns, scars, cuts, and bruises, all over.“Luke, come on, we should go,” urged Lilly as she began to heave her brother up, feeling his arm around the back of her neck as she tried to support him. She gazed down at her brother, his eyes half-lidded, closing.“Lilly,” muttered Luke as she quickly began trying to get away, wondering if Acchilleus was close by. “Luke, I'm not arguing, come on,” exclaimed Lilly, as she saw Luke turn back.“Lilly!” Luke seemed to cry in a raised voice, Lilly glanced and in that moment, everything seemed to stop.
She was stupid, emotion had taken her over and she could only see a boulder, raised and coming right towards her. At one moment, she knew she could push Luke away, try to save herself, but knew he couldn't get out alive, not on his own. She couldn't scream, couldn't shout, not only as she pulled Luke close, hugging him tightly, her back facing towards the boulder as she felt her back, almost crack as she cried in pain. She felt herself get thrust through the rain and icy air of the bridge, the ice and tears in her vision as she felt Luke loose from her grip. She couldn't move, barely able to construct in her mind what was going on.Was this how it was going to end?
Her and Luke, both to be gone from the world?
She made her final choice. Water streams up suddenly, rocketing from the ice as it caught Luke, slowly wrapping around him as it brought him down, at a slower rate. Tears streamed upwards as the air smashed against her and then – pain, nothing but dark searing pain and it was over. The water, carrying her brother receded at a quicker rate, bringing her brother down onto the ice – alive. The ice underneath Lilly had cracked, her body bloodied, her breathing stopped. This was the story of Luke and Lilly Jones – and now, for Lilly, it had simply ended on frozen ice.

L held their hand flat against the door, key scratching across the metal of the lock leaving little lines. They were awake, and a little stronger for the travel but the shakes wouldn't leave them. It was hard to describe what they felt, it equated to a coldness but inside them rather than caused from without. Still they warmed a little as the door opened and the familiarity washed over them.
"Make yourselves at home." She said throwing her arms wide with another wobble.
She moved across to her strewn art supplies clearing a seat and looking once more at her painting for Kay with a small smile. They would love it later, of that she was sure.

- FROZEN ICE -
Luke's breaths were heavy, watching through blurry vision as he saw the blood creep onto the ice and he could barely crawl, muttering somewhat as the rain poured down onto the ice, onto the blood they saw. This wasn't like last time, there was no end goal out of this, this was real and Luke knew, as he cradled his sister's body, watching his tears fall on her, he knew that this was all his fault. * The video camera came on."Does it work?" asked Luke, smiling, jumping around, his seven year old self running around the garden as he was smiling up at the camera. A woman appeared on the video, young, pearly white teeth as she smiled in her summer dress and wearing her straw boater hat, a phone being held in the other hand, this was Elyse Jones, and right now, she was the happiest mother in the world."Yes it does, Luke, don't worry," she said, laughing in the camera as she turned it back on the young boy, looking up with large brown eyes, waving his hand to see if the camera caught him and smiling when it did, gigglign to himself as he continued running in the garden. "Sorry, he's just so excited ever since he found this. I think he found something in the treehouse and he wanted to tell you." Luke was nodding, smiling as he quickly rushed to the treehouse and jumping excitedly as he pointed upwards. "Look! I swear it was here!" said Luke, as he looked upwards, confused as to where the mysterious squirrell had disappeared off to. The video moved upwards."I don't see it," the mother said, pretending to take on a playfully suspicious tone, laughing as she did so. "Are you sure it was here?" The mother listened to the voice on the phone. "Yeah, I think he said it was a squirerel.""I'm sure," replied Luke, still somewhat confused as he began climbing up."Oh, no, no, don't climb up there. Come on, your sister wants to talk to you," explained the mother quickly as she smiled to see Luke quickly rushing over, her hand giving him the phone which he held to his head."Hi Lilly," greeted Luke."Hey Luke, did you find something in the treehouse?" asked Lilly, her voice on speakerphone."Yeah it was a squirrel," said Luke, clearly excited."Oh cool, is it big?" questioned Lilly."Yeah," nodded Luke. "Okay listen to mom and don't get too close," urged Lilly. Luke frowned slightly."Okay, I gotta go, talk to you later," said Luke as he gave the phone back and started to run off"Luke! Come back and say goodbye to your sister!" told the father, suddenly going after Luke and holding him, smiling into the camera as he glancied down at Luke. He was a bold man, tall and striking with black hair that was only now showing its first signs of greying, he was somewhat burly but thin, black hair on him as he had his own beard. Luke was planted in front of the video camera again, the phone handed back to him."Luke are you still there?" asked Lilly. Luke smiled slightly."Yeah, don't worry, I'm here," replied Luke. "I'll be back from my trip, don't go up the treehouse without me," urged Lilly."I won't," sighed Luke. "Okay, promise?" asked Lilly. "I promise," replied Luke."Thanks! Love you, Luke," thanked Lilly. Luke smiled greatly at this."Love you, Lilly," said Luke. "I miss you." He added."Don't worry, I'll come back from the school trip soon," explained Lilly."Okay, see you soon," replied Luke, smiling as he looked at the camera. * Luke, now bloodied, his face cut and bruised, stained with tears, his body scarred and his clothes ripped and stained with the blood of himself, others and his sister, now sat next to his sister, shocked as he looked up, his big brown eyes, now tired.

- JONATHAN KRAMER - He had seen her fall... ...she fell down to the ice below... ...and with one look at the woes below, he knew what happened. He had failed. His arms shook, shivering with the cold of the heavy rain and the cruel reality that he didn't act fast enough. It was his fault. He didn't pull the trigger, he should've, he didn't, and now the disaster that has unfolded is now something that's going to haunt him for the rest of his life. He breathed in, the best he could do was defend what he set up, and with the energised reinforcements cutting into the vipers like butter, they just needed to hold the gate. Andras knocked several bodies overboard, down into the waves below, and assistance was getting to the outer gate. He needed to join them, with every last ounce of breath he had left.
- CLAUDIA KRAMER - "NO!" she yelled, as she saw the sight behold before her. The siblings, crashing down below, but one had made it out alive thanks to the love of the other. Even if that was the case the below was still dangerous. She ran on the bridge's low wall and dived down, the hook of her arm attaching itself under the bridge, allowing herself to swing towards a more desirable position. Key targets, they needed to be taken down, otherwise the work completed would be for waste.

>> ARES WARBANDER << The dragon king grinned from ear to ear. The carnage down on the bridge was too far away for him to pay close attention to, and between not enough people whose names he knew for him to feel a personal connection to the pain. In the place of that sympathy, Ares felt only the rush that comes when a man is plunged back into his element. Miss Winters had prepared a trump card, and with Acchilleus' flank now wide open it was time to play it. As a giant of a man charged into the rear of the Viper force at the head of a newly appeared army, Ares stood up from the shrubbage where he had been crouched and raised his sword aloft. His silhouette was joined by two dozen more, scattered across the hill evenly, emerging like ants from their colony. "Wastelanders! Let's give those valiant soldiers some support!" Without even looking behind him, Ares broke into a run, charging down the hill to follow in behind the man known as Andras. He didn't need to check - he trusted the men and women who were waiting with him, trusted that whether he was officially their leader or not, they would have his back. Even those who felt no more loyalty to the former chieftain, Ares knew, would never be too stubborn to pass up the opportunity for a good fight. "Show these snakes what happens when they threaten your home!" Ares pulled down his mask, and the dragon-faced king collided with the battle. Behind him, twenty-four of the fiercest warriors on the face of the Earth joined the Little Mice to close off Acchilleus' escape from the bridge. >> THE HARVESTER << Orlando was busy observing the exchange between the two politicians when an explosive impact connected with his back. The wind left his lungs as he was sent skidding across the bridge's pave. The Harvester came to a stop some ten feet from where he had been standing. In his place, a strikingly handsome man was standing, apparently looking for a fight. He's damn strong. I don't know if I could even handle one more blow, let alone an all-out brawl. He stood up, catching his breath and shifting his blades, now one gripped in each hand. "That was awful rude!" he shouted, taking a low stance. I'll humour him for a bit, I guess. Though this seems like a fight I can't really win.

- Felix Norwood - Felix let go of Ripley again and smiled embarrassedly, before turning his head to the closed gate. “The gate is still holding. Unless the Vipers break through I won’t go out and fight,” he looked at Ripley again, “I’m not brave lik-“ Felix’ face turned to shock as he was suddenly yanked past Ripley, then pulled from the ground by an invisible force- in the blink of an eye he flied through the air, over the Citadel’s walls as he squirmed in an unseen person’s tight grip around his waist. If only for a moment he seemed to disappear too, but as he overcame the shock an implanted instinct kicked in and he started lashing out towards the assailant. The perfectly curved arc suddenly came to an abrupt end, and Felix felt himself covered with a red warm liquid upon the crash landing just outside the inner gates of the Citadel. He stood up from the ground and leapt away from the person before he turned to see who it was. With a look of horror, he recognized him as none other than Stardude, one of the Norwood’s newbie assassins (alongside his not so famed partner Starlad) who had taken him flying across the bridge. Stardude now gasped for air, and stared with confusion and horror at Felix. He had no initial idea that Felix even had powers, the Norwoods never told him, but it now was perfectly clear that he’d underestimated the little clawed monster. Felix on the other hand, looked with horror at the clawmarks dug into the side of Stardude’s torso and backed away- then felt a bullet whizz past his head. He immediately ducked down and turned to find the source of the gunfire- a viper. The determined furrow between his brows put Felix off, it was as if the bearded viper intended on killing him. ’Why me?’Poor Felix had no idea that the Viper he was facing was, in fact, Rick; Acchilleus’ right hand man.
- Jade Blythe - Jade stood back, terrified as Claudia and Andras charged the bridge alongside the Warbander clan. Why was she even there? This was no place for a thief; even if she had some extraordinary skills which could help her survive. Two months ago she would have ran past the havoc, ignoring every shrill cry in her way, snuck in to the Citadel and collected the valuable files on Scarlett’s disappearance- and ultimately her death. But times were different; in fact she had changed with all the paranoia, the questions, the irrational doubt of everyone who approached her- now she knew what she valued more; or rather, who. She couldn’t just stand and watch; she had to do something. With a flick of her wrist she pulled out a stack of cards and turned invisible; if Jonathan Kramer was out fighting on the bridge (and if she knew him well enough he undoubtedly was) she prepared herself for the worst. If he wasn’t dead already, she would do her damnest to pull him back behind the Citadel’s walls and kick the living daylight out of the idiot there. ’If the idiot put himself in danger again, Acchilleus won’t be the one he should be hiding from.’

CLYDE ERWIN | KINETIC WARDEN Heartania | Citadel Outpost Alpha 1st December 2063 | 05:34PM The pain of cleaning the wounds, coupled with the incoming transmissions helped distract the Warden from that little pocket of drama. He wasn't sure why Ali was 'sorry', particularly; though he passed it off for a more general remark. For now, he had to refocus on the battle. As be began to talk, he gestured over to a supposed hero who had been staring at him before. "This is Kinetic Warden. We'll inquire as to how they got those suits later. For now, they can be useful; bring them over." GRACE SCOTT: STARLASS Heartania | Citadel Outskirts 1st December 2063 | 05:36PM
Grace tentatively listened to what Riya had to say, her feeling of betrayal being put aside for more important causes. They had to work together to save her parents, and then maybe she could have some piece. Thinking of what to do, her mind flashed to The Knight, knowing that English geek would've had some way to get in. But he wasn't there anymore. She looked out to the field, and then to Pathfinder, who stood patient. "I think I have a way we could open up the way for Ed, though it's risky," she moved closer to Pathfinder, so he could be within earshot, "if I get a speedster in, he could theoretically open up for Compound, and be fast enough to close before anyone else can enter." ELIZABETH CHASE | NEMESIS Heartania | Citadel Outskirts 1st December 2063 | 05:38PM The sheer rage that seeped within Apollo's words startled Elizabeth a little. She watched the same display that he had done, and though for different reasons, she knew the perpetrator had to be neutralised. Keeping her eyes fixed on the bridge, she replied, "We do. But we need to do so tactically," she turned her head to her partner, "We need to locate where that paper is coming from. I can raise a shield that could give you enough agency to fire toward the source. Though, if you have any other abilities, they could certainly be helpful." ADERYN STONE | SKYLARK Heartania | Citadel Bridge 1st December 2063 | 05:38PM
With Johnny on her back, and a battlefield below, Aderyn didn't know what to do. It should've been her out cold, and Johnny up and about. He had connections: to the Citadel, to the Tower. He could've easily had this all sorted out. All she could do was fly to where there was no immediate danger: the Citadel walls. She landed quickly, forgetting her gracefulness. Tunnel vision kicked in as she lay her friend down where she stood, and then ran to look out to the battlefield. She couldn't see Harvester yet, but she would. Nothing would stop her now.

~ Snowflake ~ Snowflake grinned. It seemed like they were both pretending everything was fine. “Don’t worry about me, Ree- go kick some ass.” Joltz appeared out of nowhere with a question which made Snowflake frown. “No Sparky, he gave me a quick flight off this bridge before I could. He was too damn fast and didn’t have any problem dodging my bullets.” A distant rumble made Snowflake lift her eyes, and with surprise she saw a new, larger group of fighters clutter the other end of the bridge and prevent everyone who couldn’t fly from leaving. She pouted at this and rose up from the edge, not as much ready to fight them as preparing to fend them off with some cheap tricks. “Well,” she cringed, “looks like that break will have to wait.”
- Jade Blythe - Jade turned visible again some steps onto the bridge. Unless she wanted to get trampled down she found it the better option to be seen as she followed behind the charging men and women, hiding like a coward in plain sight. With jittery steps and her head held high she looked around at the chaos and gulped; was this what followed in the footsteps of greed and power? Death upon the young, blood running like streams from the lifeless wounds of dead and dying humans? She walked and ducked for cover as the armies started to clash. For once she refused to be the victim of circumstance. If only she had yelled that at the Viper aiming to fire a bullet between her pretty white, blue eyes.
