Ladies and gentlemen, we'll soon be entering Heartania, please make sure your...
The voice faded out. Sarah glanced towards her left, thankful that Sight and Sparrow had given her a seat closest to the window but they had been oddly distant throughout the entire flight over, muttering and talking amongst themselves and rarely ever speaking to her. She felt uncomfortable but shrugged it off, knowing that her concern and her excitement was within the city itself. The plane didn't take much longer to land, with the flight staff informing the passengers of the recent news concerning the bridge, and the battle, just like The Queen of Blood predicted. Sooner or later, Sight, Sparrow, and Sarah found themselves cobbled in a taxi, Sight was the one to give directions to the apartments and it was a little while longer, as Sarah found herself gazing at the tall buildings and the multitude of people, all crowding around and walking through the streets. She yawned, knowing it was an early morning and the pockets of sleep retrieved in the airport was next to nothing when compared to a comfortable bed.
“Ichor said we'll be staying here for the night,” informed Sparrow as he led Sarah out of the taxi whilst Sight paid for the fare, greeting her with cool air that swept through the city as she stared at the large hotel building. Sarah walked beside Sparrow, with Sight seemingly stopping for a moment as he got out of the taxi before looking into their direction and catching up.
“For the night? You mean we're only staying here for a day?” questioned Sarah, somewhat concerned with not only how eager The Queen of Blood wanted this done, and how little time she would have, if any, to explore the new city. She loved the feeling of being outside, no longer entrapped in that mansion, especially since her last time outside and not in the manor gardens was at least a couple months ago.
“Is that a problem?” inquired Sight who almost scared Sarah, appearing behind and causing her to turn around. Sarah shook her head, as Sight smiled and began walking in front of her. “Great, besides we'll be back here soon, we've got more than just a viper to settle scores with.” And with that, Sarah followed them inside, more perturbed than before.

- Jade Blythe - The dried up tears on Jade’s face started to crumble slightly as her eyes twitched and she hugged the pillow in her arms tighter. She was slowly waking up from the nightmare she and the whole Citadel had lived through the previous evening, but there was nothing she would rather do than keep on sleeping. If only the last night was just a bad dream. After a couple of minutes she lividly remembered her argument with Claudia and what it had led to. Jade shivered at the thought, wondering if there was anything she could have done different, but in the end she tried to figure out a new, strange weight which burdened her shoulders. Was it guilt, regret, or an even deeper sensation of despair? Not matter what it was, Jade pushed away the thought which by now paralyzed her mind and limited her sometimes soft steps into twitching, nervous movements as she got herself dressed. ’My life is over.’Once she considered herself representable, she stepped out of her room and locked the door before going to the dining hall, where she hoped they served some breakfast. Even if she didn’t feel hungry in the slightest, she was going to need all the strength she could muster up to leave the Citadel and its inhabitants behind once and for all.

CLAUDIA KRAMER She walked out and rested against the doors, collecting her thoughts as she finally got round to processing the sight. Jon...dead...no....no it can't be....She wanted to believe it was some sick prank, one that would've showcased her brother as a twisted man but alive none-the-less. But her sight told all. No right arm, pale skin, flatline on the heartbeat monitor, no breathing, nothing but the husk of her brother. Was this what it looked like to him, when she first died and nearly returned? The difference was that there was nothing that could bring him back. She closed her eyes and scrunched her face in her dire attempt to keep her composure, with her nose sniffing loudly and her face soaked with the tears of a destroyed sister. He was in his twenties, too young for anyone. Her life was in tatters, and worse still she inherited a responsibility to a woman that they no longer want anything to do with. It felt like a spite going away present rather than a duty, but she still had a duty she would carry out. She took a deep breath and walked down the corridor, trying to act normal to little success. Through the double doors, asked for something small, beans on toast, with a weak, croaky voice before sitting down at an empty table. Cut, bite, swallow, breathe, repeat. Today was going to be a tough day.

- THE QUEEN OF ROSES -
Mira sat patiently, having eaten most of her food and paying attention to any scruples of news, surprised at how accurate the reporting was for such a tense and chaotic situation. Nonetheless, she could see multiple people coming in and out, crying or anxious, some even looking relieved that they managed to survive such a horrific onslaught. It was when Mira spotted Claudia coming in that she made her move. Studying her for a while she could tell that she was in horrible pain and part of her felt a tad sympathetic, even if Mira tried to convince herself that she shouldn't be. Anyone who had gone through loss couldn't seem to help and not almost feel the same pain, or at least in this case slightly pained by whatever loss she seemed to be going through. If it was actually her boss, then Seth was right, and thankfully things would hopefully be easier.
“I'm resigning,” said Mira as she stood near Claudia, watching her at the very least attempt to get through, what was only going to be their toughest day yet. She knew that this would have to come eventually, having to notify them that she was abandoning their sinking ship and with pleasure. She stood there silently unable to even ponder a word before she then started to walk away, finally free.

Light cut into the hospital room through half-closed blinds, causing a slash of light on Ripley's sheets. He had been propped up so he could see the TV. Blankly he stared at the screen. The news droned on, even mentions of Acchilleus and The Citadel. He'd been sitting in the dull white room for hours, not sleeping. Though his body was tired and worn down, he just couldn't sleep.
The nurse who came to check on him was friendly, always greeting him with a smile and asking how he felt. He didn't answer. Though he never answered, the nurse wasn't deterred. She was determined. Her badge said 'Nancy,' an old name but oddly fitting. She would make up for conversation by telling little snippets of her life, using them as odd analogies and short stories to try and keep him entertained.
The doctors were struggling to get into contact with his father. Any and all communication to him had abruptly vanished, and he had no legal guardian in the city. They didn't have a clue what to do with him. He didn't have a clue.
----
Oren woke up. Paper laying flat on the floor all around him. He hadn't left the warehouse. A smell of must persisted in the air. Picking himself up, Oren ordered the paper to wake up. Sluggishly, he walked outside. Having to shield his eyes from the bright light Oren sighed, making a paper platform and stepping onto it.
Slowly he made his way back. Back to where the Red Squad last set up shop. He had to destroy it. Oren had to forget her.

~ Snowflake ~ She woke up early, just like the previous day. The only difference was that she felt very, very annoyed. Sure, she had finally managed to deliver Felix to Reginald, who had given her a patronizing smile before he drove off to the airport to take him back to their parents the previous night. Felix was out of harm’s way, and that should be all that mattered. But on the other side, Crimson had disappeared. Snowflake still refused to believe he was dead, and had only the desire to go find him again so she could kill him herself. Of course she knew there was no point in doing so, as he had undoubtedly gone into hiding for a reason… And if he went to such lengths not to be found, he would’ve taken into account she would try to find him… At these few thoughts she became even more frustrated as she turned in the bed and slowly woke up, before she remembered where she was; at the Ravager’s hideout with most of her belonging stashed in a big backpack. With sluggish movements she sat up in the bed and yawned, before she started to pick out which clothes she would wear for the day.

Reaver Stumbling out from her room, clad in a over-sized shirt and a grey dressing gown, Reaver made her way into the main living area of the base, hungry for caffeine. Half her body ached from the heavy bruising she suffered in the battle, and the other half ached from the exertion of swinging about using one arm and a grapple hook. Bleary eyed, her hair tangled and messy from her collapsing into bed with it still soaked from the rain, she managed to get to the kitchen and make a pot of extremely strong coffee, to the goal of keeping her conscious. With a cup in hand, she made her way over to a soft, comfy chair which she unceremoniously collapsed into, grumbling to herself. The battle, as battles went, had been decent. Some good, some bad, and some of both. Yeah, she had got Felix back, that was a job that she could finally cross off. Snow would probably be happy with that. And she had also rescued those last few Vipers, who were now camped in the main warehouse with all the rations and medical supplies she had to hand. Their gratitude would come in handy. But in the end, they did lose. The Citadel stood firm, the Broker had won. That was frankly depressing. And also... Crimson was dead, whether Snow would accept it or not. Reaver had never liked him, of course. He was a sanctimonious, holier-than-thou dickhead who lacked any sense of subtlety or optimism that made him a hellish man to hang around with. Snow's inability to not talk about him hadn't exactly helped her opinion of him, either, so she was hardly going to mourn him. And yet, she couldn't take satisfaction in it. How Snow had been when she thought he was dead... Thinking about it hurt more than the broken rib Reaver reckoned she was sporting. In an effort to stop thinking about Crimson, Reaver turned on the news. Hopefully their take on the battle would be amusing, at least. Argent Mind He couldn't help but chuckle. It was a little to close to the truth. "No, I'm afraid not. It was rather my own mistake, actually. Lost focus in flight, and the earth paid me for my error!" He answered with a soft grin, rubbing his beard as he avoided talking about his brother. That was not the direction he wanted to go here. "I have to ask, do you know what that was about? I looked over the report of last night, about that cybernetic assailant. Strange business..."

GRACE SCOTT | STARLASS Heartania | The Tower 2nd December 2063 | 06:17AM Though she tried to smile about it, Grace couldn't help but feel a little grim about the metallic impostor. Instead, she tried to kip her expression as nonchalant as possible, struggling to sit up further. Her sides ached with pain, but she felt ridiculous speaking to Argent whilst lying down. "It was a plaything of the Marsh- of Cooper. It was there the day he revealed I had to publicly unmask myself... Now it seems to have gone a bit rogue, and is pretty determined to 'destroy my legacy'," What even is my legacy? What is it planning? She frowned, and then continued, "all I know for sure is that it looks exactly like me, talks like me, and is more powerful than me... for now."

Kate Kate would always remember the day Jason gained his gifts. Their mother had just died, and Jason was suddenly in charge of looking out for the family. Three years ago... He had been younger than she was now. He had been so excited, despite the obvious pain she had seen in him. He had a way to help the family. He had a way to make things better. For all of them, except himself. He had succeeded in that, actually. The family was secure, it had money. The kids had a future ahead of them that didn't involve violence or crime. Kate knew that because of Jason, she would never have to make the sacrifices he did. He was saving her, even now. As she looked at the cracks, the dents, the imprint of he foot in the stone, her mind began to race. Did this mean...? She swung her foot again, with all her might. The stone groaned from the stress, and another deep hole was left in her wake. Jason had always wanted to help people. His family, yes, but beyond that he was a good man who wanted to save lives, if only he had the chance. Now she had the chance. And in Jason's memory, maybe she could do that. Pay him back, in some way, for saving her. Argent Mind The marshal. It always came back to him, didn't it? Whether he was Cooper or not, that man was a constant threat to the city, and the heroes of the Tower seemed to be his favored playthings. He was still out there, a menace waiting to strike, a constant threat. Argent Mind wanted nothing better than to bring him to justice, if only he knew where he was hiding in his shrouded lairs... "For now indeed, Starlass. You'll be up on your feet in no time, stronger than ever if I'm any judge. This copycat machine is a stumbling block, yes, but one you will overcome." He agreed, believing fully what he was saying. He had seen many heroes in his time, and few had the resilience of Starlass. The marshal's machine was doomed. "Its a good thing too, because I'm going to need you with us to bring the Marshal to justice. That is, if you want to come back."

~ Snowflake ~ After a shower Snowflake put on a pair of sweatpants and examined the remains of bruising where she had cracked her ribs and shoulder yesterday. Though the area was still tender to touch the bruising was completely gone, so she planned to have a calm day ahead to make sure she was completely healed and ready for whatever the Ravagers would plot to do next. She pulled on a light blue t-shirt and walked only a few steps before her mind once again started revolving around what really had happened on the bridge yesterday. If she really was to find out where Crimson could possibly be she would have to start thinking logically and state the facts of what she knew and had seen. She started to mull everything over while trying to find her way to something which reminded her of a kitchen, walking as silently as she could through the hallways as if to not disturb anyone. The pleasant smell of coffee helped guide her, but once she saw what looked like coffee blacker than the darkest pit in hell Snowflake furrowed her brows and started looking for something which would suit her taste a bit better. Having been lost in her own thoughts, grumbling to herself as she still couldn’t think of anything but yesterday, she first noticed Reaver once she approached a similar comfy chair and heard the news being dished out to the person tuning in. With a tired smirk she looked at an exhausted Reaver in completely ordinary clothes and remarked: “You look like crap.”

Reaver Reaver groaned, leaning deeper into the chair, hoping it would envelop her. It was not a good morning. "I feel like shit." She agreed, tilting her head to look at Snow, which had the added effect of showing some of the bruising on her face and neck. Snow, as always, looked stunning, which did little to help her mood. "Not all of us get magic healing powers, y'know? And..." She pulled up a sleeve, showing heavy battered arms. "If I ever decide to jump in front of you during a rock-storm again, just... Fucking end me."

~ Snowflake ~ Snowflake grimaced at the sight of the ugly bruises and sat down in a chair next to Reaver, balancing a bowl of cereal and a glass or water until she put it on a little table next to her. “Oouch,” she said, leaning a bit closer to better examine the bruising on Reaver’s arm, neck and face. Her grimace intensified while she found it strange that she and Reaver had swapped places; now it was Snowflake’s turn to pity the painful results of the battle. “How did you even.. ouch. Next time you should let me handle the hurtling rocks, at least I get better after a night’s sleep. Do you want some ice on that?”

Inferno brushed open the door of her room; her red hair brushed neatly. As was typical of early morning Inferno, she wore nothing but a pair of shorts and her lacy red bra, which some would say is risque but Inferno preferred the hotter stuff. Most of her upper torso covered in cuts, bruises, and little scars, mainly from the fact she was unable to use her powers fully in the torrential rain and snow. Bright eyed and prepared for the day; Inferno made her way down to the living area of the base.
On her way, down she went over the events of yesterday, the defeat of Acchilleus, the death of Crimson and Snowflake's blatant denial. It was cute, how hard she denied his death, maybe Inferno would burn some sense into her. She felt mildly sorry for Snowflake but other than that she was glad he was dead; Inferno couldn't stand his whole 'Murder is an art' bullshit, it was the mark of an idiot who took to much pride in the killing and not in the body count.
Upon her entrance to the living area, she spotted the disgusting mess called Reaver, who looked like utter shite. Taking a seat, Inferno stretched, the bruises aching but she had learned to deal with such pain. "Hello Reaves and Snowy, Did you sleep well? No nightmares about loved ones dying?"

~ Snowflake ~ Snowflake turned to Inferno when she entered, at first a bit struck at the sight of her prancing around in a pretty hawt red lace bra and shorts. It was however when she was greeted with a not so friendly question that she decided to answer with the same tone. “Only a sweet dream about you drowning in the rain Inferno, so that doesn’t really count- or wait, was that a dream?” Leaning back in her seat, she took the bowl of cereal and stirred it with a spoon. “You disappeared after we charged the bridge, for a while I thought the rain had washed you away and drained you back down to the sewers.”
