"Here we go." Xena stopped abruptly before a door like most of the others in the corridor they had entered.
There were no locks or passwords on crew quarters, inside you had a locker or unit you could place your valuables with a secure lock but honestly anyone who stole from others on board a long haul flight of this kind was a moron. She opened the door for him and stood to one side. There was no chance she was going to enter and get trapped in the small area where he would encroach massively on her personal space.
"Maybe you will be able to find it easier now you know where it is. Though you should probably make a complaint about whoever was meant to run your orientation session."

Eli folded his arms as the instructor spoke. He seemed rather professional, though he couldn't work out if that was a good or bad thing. A series of programmes were offered, the jargon initially overwhelming the young man, before braking them down and comparing them to his experiences back home, meaning when he spoke, he did so with suitable assurance,
"Let's go with stamina gaining, you never know how it might come in handy on different atmospheres. I'm not interested in building any muscle, though, I'm happy with what I have going for me right now."
His last remark came with a boyish smirk: a little bit of whimsy never hurt anyone.

"Thanks." Martin looked at the door. He walked inside. "Yeah, hopefully. And I will. Thanks again." He said to her, before going to shut his door.

"No problem." Xena replied with a dead pan face before heading off down the corridor.
Food. She had mentioned it and that was where she would head. The canteen was a few corridors over and the thought of something warm to fill her up made her mouth tighten with desire. She didn't care what it would be, anything would do to fill the hole then she could get back to work.

- EZEKIEL SILOS - "Adaquete." Ezekiel replied as he shut his book, he had finally reached the chapter in which the orc sliced the arm of an innocent, and he had to say he was somewhat interested in reading the next. He sighed to himself, eyeing up Lisa who was clearly uncomfortable. "Is there something that you wanted?" He gestured towards the shelves of food, drinks, and snacks as music played loudly out of the earbuds that dangled around his neck. He threw the book back on the table, as he went back to taking stock, seemingly some of the crew had been taking out certain snacks without recording it or even when he was here, which he definitely did not find the least bit suspicious, as he recounted this in his head.

Zark smiled at the man and started assembling a programme. He turned to the boy repeatedly, taking a look at his physique so that he doesn't push the boy too hard, which makes the next statement too ironic.
"I'm going to sign you up for my afternoon spin session, please bring water and a towel", he looked back at him. "You're going to need it." He turned back to continue the assembly. "Warm up will be fine but I'm going to put you through an uphill programme. More you do it, the more exhausting it will be but in that case you won't have to feel embarrassed in front of a class. Some light weights and rowing to finish up."
He took out a key and turned back to him. "Don't lose this, this'll activate the machines and correct you if you do something out of order." He throws him the key. "Any further questions?" he finalised, the left side of his mouth twisting upward.

Lisa smiled at him, "Nothing at all." Standing up from her seat she left. What an asshole. Understandably so, he was a shut-in, from what she could pick up in regards to his mannerisms, and in general his job. It was no matter, though, there had to be something she could do on this ship. Checking her clock, seemed it was close to lunch.
Lisa, lost in her thoughts, nearly collided with a woman but stopped herself. "Oh! Apologies, I nearly knocked you over there." She laughed. Lisa stared the woman up and down, she had ginger frizzy hair with various clips and hairbands put into it that it looked like a modern art piece. The jumpsuit also helped to indicate her position, with the rolled up sleeves and haphazard look, no doubt she was an engineer. "Are you heading to the cafeteria as well?"Lisa queried, wishfully thinking the person would tag along with her.

Xena bounced backwards as from her perspective a giant collided with her small frame, it took a moment of teetering on imbalance for her to regain her composure. She felt a little dazed, her mind drifting to the fact that on old space craft someone that tall would never be allowed inside just to save on precious space. Her face went through a train of emotion from surprise back, annoyance, then back to her steady nature.
"Err. Its fine." She managed to get out quietly but clearly her gaze not quite reaching the giants own, more taking in the slim fitting tank top at just below chest height. Xena was unsure of this was more or less awkward than seeing the eyes of them.
"Oh and yes." Her brain caught up to the last question making her look longingly past the fellow crew mate, her stomach giving her a small stabbing growl to urge her onward.

"Mind If I join you? It's awfully lonely on this ship as if everyone has abandoned it." She chuckled, began a slow walk towards the cafeteria, allowing the woman to catch up to her. "Nice to met you, by the way, I'm Lisa, Dr Lisa Fitzgerald, and you?" Lisa asked, hoping to engage is a wonderful conversation.

"Er i'm Dr Xena Bane." Xena replied feeling a bit overwhelmed for a second."And i'm not going to stop you going to the same place."
The words about being abandoned felt a little strange. She had just showed that guy Martin where to go and now there was a whole new person wanting to talk to her. In Xena's mind this was more than enough interaction for the day to classify it as busy. She was too used to being ignored or looked over if you really wanted to angle for a height joke.
She began to walk after the taller woman's loping stride. She might as well attempt a better success at being sociable.
"Though Dr of what? I mean I know you're not an engineer like me so honestly the Dr means just about nothing in my own context." It came out sharp, it always did dammit. It was so much easier to polish a piston than polish her own presentation.

"Geography, more specifically Planetary Geography. It's a bit of a specialist field considering there are not many opportunities out there but, this ship had provided many for me." Lisa smiled, "Mind if I ask yours?" Lisa asked.
She could tell Xena was some kind of engineer, Lisa hadn't met many engineers while she was on the ship, all she had really interacted with was that Ezekiel.

They entered the canteen with little issue.
"Well I did say I was an engineer. Not sure its more specific than that, I fix things that break and make sure other things don't break. There are a few of us and we tend to overlap in our work."
Xena focused on the food, trying to work out what she could grab that would be quick and filling. Flavour was low on her list of priorities.

Lisa felt herself blush a little; it was a stupid question she had asked. Deciding not to dwell on the moment, she continued to walk forward until they reached the cafeteria. Lisa needed something nice and healthy to chow down on, low in calories of course.
"Being an engineer sounds like a busy job. All I do on this ship is research, and prepare in case we ever actually reach a planet, which most likely won't happen for a long time."
Lisa sighed a little, smiling gently at Xena. When it came to getting her food, she picked her healthiest options and took a seat.

"Everyone on the crew has a purpose or why be here. Just because a section is not powered right now doesn't mean it won't be a vital system in future."
Xena replied brutishly after a long mouthful. She had settled on a thick broth that she could drink out of a mug and something that looked like bread but had none of the same texture or flavour. Space flight like eating on aeroplanes made normal foods taste different but Xena was convinced that they purposely stocked up on food that was designed to weird people out of travelling.
At least it was practical unlike Lisa's attitude. Doubt was not a practical emotion.
"And if you wanted to be constantly busy you should have picked another job. Though I doubt recruitment is still open to change now."
