It was pitch black. He lied in bed, restless, for three hours. Finally, he gave up.
"Fuck it." he said aloud as he sat up, not a inch of sluggishness in his body.
He hated it, lying in the dark for hours, alone with his thoughts. The feelings were still raw; the pain, the self-hate, the feeling that he could have done more. And so Jay Hearne jumped from his bed and pulled a block hoodie over his grey t-shirt. Quickly, he laced up his trainers and was out the door as quick as possible. If he couldn't sleep, he would sure as hell train.
Jay had always had a lot of pent up rage, but since that night, last night... it needed a release. Jay wanted someone to blame; well... someone that wasn't a crazy terrorist or assassin, and so a punching bag would have to do.

Nariko frowned as she tracked the Broker. "Little shit is good at running, I'll give him that." She muttered, locking on to him. The next four missiles streaked forwards, locking onto the bike to blow the idiot away. They were joined by a spray of bullets that ripped up the road in front of the Broker, a little display that would encourage him to stop unless he wanted to become signifcantly less solid than he currently was. - Reaver -
Reaver popped open the side hatch and pointed it out to Inferno. Her face was wild with excitement. "You should be able to see him if you lean out of there. Turn him into ash." - The Speaker -
Sipping from his glass, Ragno smiled cordially to the approacher. His face gave no sign of the intense scrutiny he was now focusing on this new arrival into his life. "Ah, of course my good man!" He exclaimed. "Enjoying the festivities?" - Hammerfist -
Jason flinched as the door behind him was smashed open. Police.
"Yeah, we really do." He agreed with a grimace. "If I grab you I can run us out of here. Ready?"

Inferno sauntered up to the hatch. She leaned out. The flames in her body building up, it felt hot, even to her. She grinned. She let it rip. A pillar of flames erupted from her mouth, it was trained directly on Broker.

Snowflake rose from the ground and watched the VTOL chase the Broker out of the alleyway with a smile on her face. Before Felix could run off, Snow gripped the neck of his suit and prevented him from leaving. She hissed like a snake and turned Felix to face her.
“What the hell?! That man tortured me in front of you! Why on earth did you help him?!”
“I wanted to!” That's a lie, he thought, but I can't ever tell her that I wanted to be the hero for once.
“What do you mean, ‘I wanted to’?!” Snowflake snarled and glared at Felix’ defiant expression. “Do you know what Mother and Father will do when I tell them?”
“Then don’t!” Felix’s eyes turned terrified in an instant. “I was under house arrest! If you tell them, I’m done for!”
“..alright then,” Snowflake’s eyes softened ever so slightly, “what do you suggest we do?”
“Let me stay with you the next couple of days. I’ll go home whenever you tell me, just please, don’t tell them.”
“..fine.”
Snowflake’s grip around Felix’ shoulders loosened and she beamed a smile to Blood. It stung her pride to say the next few words, but she said them nonetheless.
“Thank you. Name your pri-“
Another door flew towards the three and landed with a huge thump a few feet in front of them. Snowflake straightened her back and saw, to her annoyance, the giant from earlier walk towards them with heavy steps.
She pointed the gun at his knee and fired a shot.

Blacklist was standing with her upper body out of her sunroof now, recording video and snapping pictures of the EMTs as they picked up the unidentified man who had collapsed in front of The Tower. Traffic was moving decently now that the small region where Michael had been found was cordoned off to the public. Due to his leave, the gears began moving again and the flow of automobiles as foot traffic started to pick up the pace. "There is zero parking anywhere, wow. Let me try to access the parking garage near-by, hang on Edison. If the security systems don't give us clearance, well, you don't need to worry about that." Blacklist confidently remarked. Handling the security system of an automated parking garage would be pretty simple. As for The Tower, well, she knew there was no way she could ever crack into its private network(s) with conventional means.

The Pursuer looked at the male before raising his blade to deflect the bullet. Standard, untrained, predictable pattern, no thought into the aim. He pointed his blade towards the the female and the shorter male. "These two have been sentenced to die by my hand. Leave now or you'll be automatically sentenced to 10 years in the cells." He coldly started at the two people as he prepared to strike. - The Broker -
The Broker kept the speed up as the VTOL fired it's missiles. He took a quick look and saw Inferno firing something towards him, something hot. "Christ, could this get any worse?" The VTOL fired some distance ahead, collapsing the road and with no way to jump it. "OK, it just got worse". "Jonathan, keep driving!" said Claudia. "Sis?! Are you cra--" "Just speed up if you want to live!" Without another option he sped the bike up to the collapsing road. The bike jumped down, nearly caught his head, and the fire and missiles collided with the tarmac. "Too close" Broker said to himself. "Way too close. I'm on my way to you, keep me updated Jason and Luke!" There was something else too, he could still hear the conversation Felix was having with Crimson and Snowflake. The Pursuer had found them, and because of Felix's involvement he was sentenced to death. The Broker could stand on much greyer ground but Felix didn't have that pleasure. The Broker turned the bike around, and sped back towards the entrance. "Change of plan, I'm going after Felix. Felix, if you can hear me, if you hear a bike horn, prepare to jump!" He sped faster towards the entrance, and consequently back towards the VTOL. - Benedict Strahm -
Benedict sat down. "I am enjoying it. The food, the decent music, the variety of drinks, diverse crowd, though calling it 'festivities' wouldn't be the right word." He took a look at the female. "People have lost a lot. Family, friends, property, money, luxuries, they need someone to help fulfil that role don't you think?"

Starlass grinned at the development. "No need for the order, councillor. I'd love to take Reaver down." She pat Sonar on the shoulder, who was still focusing on that mechanical noise he'd heard earlier. Snapping out of concentration, he looked up to catch the back end of Frequency leaving, and the room becoming a hive of activity. "Need a hand out there?" he asked, holding a hand out for Starlass to shake. She took it, putting on a smile. "Show me what you can do." the pair stepped outside to catch the VTOL blowing apart a section of the road. "Reaver's got to be in there. I'd wager she's got her whole team with her. Sonar, I want you on the ground, keep the streets stable and the civilians out. I'm sure the Pursuer will lend you a hand when he shows up." Sonar nodded, pressing his hand to the road to feel the vibrations of the Earth. The explosion had rattled the foundations, but there wasn't any major damage besides the crater. Another blow like that, though, and one of these buildings could come down. "What will you do?" he asked, half-aware of Starlass as he tried to pick out civilian noise in the vicinity. Not an easy feat considering the sound of the VTOL roaring through the air. Starlass hovered into the air, high enough to keep track of the aircraft. "First, I'll track down McCall. After that... well, I think it's about time these maniacs got boarded." She lifted off into the sky, catching up to Frequency fairly quickly. "McCall. Follow me." - Compound -
Edison sighed, feeling increasingly nervous the longer Riya hung out the sunroof instead of focusing on driving.
"It's alright, I'm not in a rush. Besides, if it comes to it Athena should let us in. She'll recognise my face, and Nimbus' name. Heck, she might even offer you a job. No need to... do your thing."
