- Reaver -
Reaver's looked up with a grin. "Alright, kids, stop fighting, you're both good at killing people." She chuckled at the pair. "Crim has a good point about trying, I guess. The best kills are the ones worked hardest for." She looked over at Nariko. "We ready yet?" - The Adamant Tyrant -
Nariko turned away from the screens and loaded her rifle. "Yeah, we're in the city. So, Snow, do we go in all guns blazing or subtle? Your call."
- The Speaker -
Ragno, flanked by two large bodyguards, strolled casually to the woman greeting the new arrivals. "Ah, you must be my friend from the phone!" He exclaimed, holding his cigar away from his mouth as he spoke. "A fundraiser! What a delightful little idea."

- Raven -
You're Mr. Ragno, it's so good to meet you," Lilly replied, with a plastered smile as she held out her hand to shake Mr. Ragno.
- Hunter -
Luke concentrated on the code module that would only accept four digits, trying his best to decode it. A splitting headache struck his head, causing him to stagger slightly as he readied himself and the latches on the door released, alongside an odd beep of approval from the code module. Luke shook his head, managing to concentrate though his head was aching.

- The Broker -
The movement of Luke, the stumbling, the obvious pain he was in showcased the Broker despite the gear he was wearing. When the door started the move The Broker patted Luke on the back and remarked "You feeling alright laddy?" There was still one more door to go, and the thought of what was behind it worried Broker a little.

Arla | April 29 2015 - La Mirage -
Jade had nearly given up brushing Mira’s hair and had started using her telekinesis to untie some of her locks. The question was as sweet as a question from an innocent girl could be and caused Jade to look at her with a smile. “He’s in the Capital right now to run some errands. He’s going to be fine; after all he’s travelling with some.. extraordinary people.” She cracked her knuckles and gently combed through Mira’s hair with her fingers. “Hmm.. I don’t really remember how to do this again. Give me a few seconds..” - Snowflake -
Snowflake had, at first, snickered on the inside at Inferno and Crimsons argument. The wide grin on Inferno’s face, Crimson’s habit of stumbling upon crazy ladies (including herself), Inferno claiming to be the most feared villain in Heartania followed by Crimson’s speech in ‘The Art of Murder’; everything was laughable and a great cause for entertainment. It wasn’t until Inferno leaned closer and whispered into Crimson’s ear that a strange feeling of deja vù dawned upon her. That, and her heart made an unexpected throb inside her chest. Snowflake snapped back to reality as Nariko said her name. She thought for a few seconds, then looked up with a glee. “We go in subtle and leave with all guns blazing. I don’t want to keep Inferno from having her.. fun,” she raised an eyebrow with an innocent smile, “after I get my little brother away from the Broker.”

- Alex Richardson -
Satisfied that he had made connections with Starlass before she left, Alex took a long sigh of relief and headed back into the Citadel. The halls were empty and the moonlight shining through the glass windows were heavily contrasted by the modern lighting. He took a long look out of one of the windows at the still city which was still in ruin. He realised that he would have to be brave in order to go back there. There could be all kinds of bandits or thugs scavenging the wreckage for anything valuable that got left behind.
He stood back up from the window after he heard Jade's voice. "Might as well go say goodnight" Alex thought to himself as he walked towards the source of the voice and knocked on the door of the room it was emanating from.

- The Adamant Tyrant -
"Well then, this is your stop!" Nariko replied with a smirk. As she spoke, a small hatch popped open on the bottom of the silent aircraft, revealing a roof five feet under them. "You and Crim go in and get the boy. We'll be watching, don't you worry..." - Hammerfist -
Jason stood calmly back. This was the Broker's plan. All he had to do was do as he was told and it would all be fine... - The Speaker -
Ragno took the proffered hand with a gracious smile.
"Likewise, my dear. Please, tell me who you've invited to this event! It would be delightful for you to introduce me."

LHudson | April 29 2015 - The Broker -
Luke was quiet, which worried him a little, but not as much as the now beeping bombs on each of the four members, two of them now nearing the last 30 seconds. The Broker went in front of Luke and said "You gotta be focused. I know this whole thing is scary but it's good for all of us." He had to choose his words carefully, lest they be heard. The fiddled with the bomb on Luke's shoulder. "By the end of it, everything will be mostly roses." The bomb detatched from Luke as the Broker headed towards the massive safe door up ahead. "J, when that door opens, the whole street will go into lockdown, you are aware of that right?" "All good C, fully aware." "Then how come there are some people on the roof waiting for something to happen?" The Broker pondered this fact as he set Luke's and his own bomb on the safe door. "Can you describe them for me?" Claudia explained what the supposed forces looked like. The bombs were placed and The Broker stepped back with Luke, "From the looks of it, Crimson and Snowflake are with the--" "--they're after the target!" The Broker's eyes widened as he gave some of his lethal ammo to Luke. "Head back to the foyer, they're going to break in. I've got about a minute before the shutters start to close. Keep the hostages secure, they're too valuable." The two bombs on the door kept beeping, faster and faster. "And here...we...go!" - Councillor Nora -
Councillor Nora kept her eyes on Starkov. "Because it seems to me you were ignoring the situation and heading for a specific target. Why didn't you assist with the evacuation, or even the capture of those responsibl--" There was a light rumble in the building before all the sirens went off. The head of security entered, and told the council "there's a robbery at the archives, suspected explosives armed and used. Hostages, from door secured." "And I guess the police are on their way?" "To secure this building and the archives." The Councillor looked at Statkov, Starlass, Frequency, and Sonar. She pursed her lips before she told the head of security "bring him in." The man headed out of the building. "Whoever these people are, they've decided to steal on a bad day. This hearing will continue, the only thing needed is on the way." - The Pursuer -
The Rooks weren't budging. The lawless gangsters refused an order, and while it was punishable with 5 years it was unlikely to help. The Pursuer looked at Knight and said "these pathetic, selfish insects. Full of people who disregard their superiors." He paused. "You think those creatures at the mall would budge much easier?" Without warning, something loud came. Spinning, landing, powering down. The Pursuer turned around to see a High Council VTOL. "Pursuer-02, you're being recalled. There's a situation going on at Capital City Archives, you're going in headfirst." "Understood". The Pursuer climbed into the VTOL, and headed for the Capital. - Benedict Strahm -
"Just pleasant people" said a voice behind Ragno, cheery and dapper. He shook Ragno's hand before approaching the woman. "And I have to say, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." He politely kissed the woman's hand before returning his attention back to Ragno. He smiled. "Oh, where are my manners. Benedict Strahm, late night entertainment entrepreneur and expert dancer in jazz, folk, street, ballet, tap, ballroom-- oh you get the idea." Strahm took a look at both people before saying. "I must say, a fundraiser in a place like this, fabulous. I will enjoy my time here, thank you for you attention." He diverted his attention back to Ragno. "I would love to talk about many things with you, and I would be honoured if we could talk about economics and business." The man smiled before running up the stairs and into this "Citadel". - Shadow Fixer -
The door broke down, Daniel was in. The black mire that called themselves his deceased husband was inside. The worst part was that Argent was being extremely dismissive about the dire situation. Argent was going to die regardless, but it would either be by Cooper, or by whatever the Marshal had in store for Cooper's possible husk.
The speakers in the room turned on. "I'm coming Coopie!" said a female voice. Not right. He hadn't heard that voice in his work place before, and before he could process that thought some music came on...some dance music. It suddenly made sense, the voice, the vocabulary, the fact that he was inside his mind, Cooper knew whom it was and couldn't help but exhale a "oh god."

- The Knight -
"Uh," Blake murmured as his colleague disappeared into the VTOL and into the sky, "O-K." Blake shook his head, raising his index finger before slowly lowering it.
He shrugged, relaxing.
"Jesus Chr-" Blake exclaimed before cutting himself off. 'There's a situation going on at Capital City Archives' he repeated in his thoughts, his breath quickening and he began to panic.
It was then that he noticed the power units on his HUD. Empty.
Blake rolled up the left sleeve of his jacket and shirt, revealing a wrist-worn computer. Frantically, he pressed a couple of buttons, activating a link to the earpiece he was wearing. He pressed a few buttons more, activating comms to leave a message.
"Starlass," he spoke into the mic, concerned, "I was with the Pursuer; he was just called to the scene of an incident in Capital City, "I'm out of range, but I'm afraid that this is serious, is there anyone you can get in touch with?"
After leaving the message, he deactivated comms and produced from his pocket the two Golf Balls. Walking into a less open area, he pressed the metal spheres together and tossed them to the ground. The balls then morphed into Blake's civilian motorbike. Mounting it, Blake clicked the button inside of his jacket collar, a motorcycle helmet forming around his head.
'This is a bad neighbourhood.' Blake thought to himself. Luckily the area still seemed pretty abandoned, 'Better get out of here.'
And so Blake pelted down the round, making sure to obey by all speed limits and road signs; he was a civilian right now, not a superhero.
Unable to presently interfere with the situation in Capital City, he returned to his apartment to... make some changes.

- La Mirage -
"...Nearly there." Somebody knocked on the door and Jade looked up from the confusing mess which was supposedly turning into a braid. “Come in!” She yawned and looked out of the window, wondering how the fundraiser went downstairs.
- Snowflake -
Snowflake winked and beamed Nariko a cheeky smile. “Oh, I’m sure you will.” She jumped down onto the roof, completely forgetting her weakened condition. Her legs nearly gave in and reminded her to take it easy this time; after all it wasn’t a usual day where her powers functioned like normal. - Felix Norwood -
Felix looked around nervously, standing guard and eyeing up the scared hostages. If his instincts weren’t completely mistaken, something bad was going to happen very soon- and why did he feel his sister somewhere close by?

Crimson beamed a grin to the remaining inhabitants of the plane before tossing his rifle to the roof and leaping through the hatch and landing in a roll. He retrieved his rifle and reattached it to his back. "So..." he said to Snowflake, watching as she regained her own stability, "I haven't been paying attention, what do we know about The Broker's plan?"

- The Broker -
The door blew open, and the alarms started going off. The Broker shielded his eyes as the dust settled, and the door showed one final layer, the small server door. The Broker couldn't help but smile and laugh a little as he ran inside the safe and unzipped the bag, a drill.
"J, the entire street is lit up, you got one minute before I can no longer block the seal security doors".
The drill started to dig into the lock. "And those above?"
"Likely waiting for some sort of signal, might be trying to get the boy."
The server door unlocked and The Broker placed the drill back inside. "Well if they have any chance of getting him then they're going to have to find a way to disarm that explosive." He took out his phone and wired it to the server, starting the scan.
"There's also something else, J."
Claudia wired the call into the police dispatch. "We've got 4 of your friends from the west side of town, possibly trying to rescue their boys, you want to handle them Mr Sinova?"
"Secure the front, if they get out then we'll deal with. We cannot let them three walk out free."
Seems like the gang war tactic worked, now all they need to do is escape. The code was cracked, the four files containing the three gangsters and Argent were found, and with the press of a button, the phone blinked "upload complete". Job done. 4 files are gone, and now it's time to make their exit.
The Broker grabbed his bag and made his way back to the foyer.

- Snowflake -
Snowflake smiled innocently, then bluntly stated: "Nothing. Well, we do know he's in there with my brother and two other guys, all suited and equipped with padded gear and a couple of guns." She furrowed her eyebrows. "I know you like to know everything that's going on before you enter a scene, but this time we'll have to be a bit spontaneous."
"Oh; the short one is my brother, you'll know as soon as you see him. When we've gotten him out of here, Reaver will most likely cut Inferno loose and burn down the building, causing some havoc while she's at it." A thought struck Snowflake as she looked around for a way into the building. "After this whole rescue-thing is done.. Do we go back to our usual cat and mouse chase? Because, admit it, we've both miss-"
Alarms went off right after a muffled boom shook the building ever so slightly. Snowflake peeked over the edge of the roof and muttered a few cursewords; police sirens were quickly approaching in the distance, proclaiming the limited amount of time they had. A vehicle parked below them in an alleyway caught her eye, she smirked and turned to Crimson. "So, do we go inside," she gestured to the car below, "or wait for them to come out?"

- Starlass -
Starlass' eyes narrowed. The Broker shouldn't have been found out yet. They would've needed to rush to job now. She would've said something to the councillors, to keep the hearing moving along, but Blake's message cut her train of thought short. "Starlass, I was with the Pursuer; he was just called to the scene of an incident in Capital City. I'm out of range, but I'm afraid that this is serious, is there anyone you can get in touch with?" Whether Knight was still tuned in or not, Starlass still relayed a response. "I'm in the vicinity already, fortunately. Unfortunately, I'm a little tied up in a meeting with the most powerful people I've ever met, so I can't get out right now. I think they've got it covered, though..." she looked up at the High Council, who seemed to have the issue in check. "Councillors... I have faith the Pursuer can handle the issue? Because if not, we could postpone this meeting so that my associates and I can provide reinforcements." - The Eye -
The Eye sat on a marble grotesque that protruded from one of Heartania's higher balconies. Up here, he felt at home, looking down on all those inferior beings going about their mundane business, unaware of the power nestled in the skyline above them. Of course, he had more important things to do than marvel at the ignorance of the general populace. In his time of imprisonment, The Eye had encountered a fellow prisoner, someone who had been twisted beyond belief by whatever strange forces were at play in the man's mind. Whenever someone tried to speak to the poor creature, he would chant one of his rhymes that seemed as if they were written by a madman (which, in fairness, they probably were). Most were indecipherable rubbish, but there was one in particular that caught The Eye's attention. Far above the land that cries In a symphony of truthful lies Find the one whose art defies Her patient soul abating
Sealed where men cannot unbind None who breathe can hope to find And there she schemes, to test your mind The shaman of sin is waiting
The Eye was familiar enough with the surreal that he knew that nothing could be brushed off as inconceivable, so he memorized this particular verse. If it were truly a riddle, then there was someone in this world with immense power, someone he could hopefully convince to join his cause. The only trouble was deciphering the rhyme. So far, he was working under the assumption that 'the city that cries' referred to Heartania, and so he had come up here to this rooftop hoping to search for a lead. So far, that search was unfruitful. He could only hope that something interesting would happen soon, so that he could consider this expedition at least somehow a success.

- Councillor Nora -
"The Pursuer tackled a near impossible task, risked death, and still saved lives. This situation is nothing compared to that, so it will be resolved quickly. This hearing will continue." Councillor Nora looked through the papers. "From what we've read, Argent has not been seen since the night, can you explain that?"
- The Pursuer -
The sky was dark, slightly cloudy, the only lights coming from the VTOL. The Pursuer was perched over the edge while he was was receiving information. "4 guys, hostages under constant suppression, alarm has been tripped so the doors will be sealed soon, can't risk the front door."
"Understood" replied the Pursuer, before dropping his blade. He jumped out of the VTOL, and entered the long descent towards the archives roof.
- The Broker -
The Broker returned to the foyer to greet the hostages with a quick volley of bullets. "Ladies and gentlemen" he said in his Irish accent. "It turns out that the police are coming here, this is bad news for you because that means we're going to need a hostage to allow us a clean getaway." The hostages eyes widened, possible death due to irish gangsters. The Broker looked at the group before picking out the panicking woman again. She screamed and kicked, forcing the Broker to fire in order to keep her composure. "As for the rest of you, we need to make sure you don't escape, so can you please politely enter through the doors and into the safe."
This confused the hostages, but they complied when the Broker kept the barrel of his weapon on the screaming woman. One by one they entered the first layer of the archives, daring not to close the door incase the woman would die. Didn't stop her from panicking as they were lead to the first layer. The Broker followed them, with the woman struggling and screaming and shaking, didn't help his grip. 5 seconds, they were all inside, and the female was free and she ran for the first layer, the second she got through, the shutters activated, separating the four from the hostages, no suspicion. The Broker sighed with relief as he returned to the group. He looked at Felix and said "Two things. One, your sister is on the roof. Two, you can ride right?"

- Argent Mind -
Argent Mind threw forward his hands and forced the darkness back. The ground visibly warped as he unleashed himself. His blows took the form of white light- in the mind, he was not limited by telekinetic force. It was his iron will fighting, not his physical strength. And that had only grown stronger as the years passed. "Not today Cooper! Neither you nor I die today!" He bellowed, driving the darkness back. His very body shimmered as he took his full will to the enemy. Maleficus was capable of many things, but Argent Mind would not be outdone here. This was his area, his realm of power. The land of thought was the home ground of the mighty telepath. It was time to prove his might. - Reaver -
Reaver impatiently tapped the interior of the craft as she watched the situation on Nariko's screens. Advanced sensors painted the Broker and his gang hiding inside. The plane was still cloaked- they were unnoticeable. As they hovered silently above the street, Reaver pondered when the best time to reveal themselves would be. - Hammerfist -
Jason stuck close to the Broker. His eyes were wide- something bad was going on. Something that hadn't been prepared for.
"Who's out there?" He growled into the Broker's ear. "A threat?"
