Sienna as Alice stood to defend her had scowled. She didn't want her to do this any more than she had wanted Oren to. He may think it selfishness but the easiest way to stop people getting hurt in your own circle of self destruction was to push them as far away as you possibly could. She grabbed at the arrow shaft where it had fallen and stuck it in front of Alice's legs.
A solid bar she held it at either end in front of Alice's kneecaps, so as not to catch Alice on her own red wet skin and yanked hard.
"I told you to stay away." Sienna growled as the metal impacted with her friends legs. Hopefully it would bring her down hard. This was Sienna's shit pile and she didn't want her playing in it.
"You really need to listen sometimes."
--
"Nothing else at the moment. I'll grab you if I need you." Ali rolled her eyes shaking her hands to indicate he needed to move.
She went across to another crate grabbing her own supplies from a corner crate. She half regretted not phoning a taxi service to get people out quicker. Hindsight was a niggling thing. The main problem was the snow. Too many unprepared people starting to freeze, it wasn't pretty.
This was the first time she had felt needed since returning and it was in the heart of misery. It felt wrong yet as natural as her life had ever had. She was shedding the skin of caring aunt and shifting back into what she really was. The steady hand that tried to catch the dying before they left the world.

- JONATHAN KRAMER - The numbers were thinning, it was about twenty now, and line became more scattered, the people around him were dying, and those he kept close were on the line. It had started with Shade getting one giant zap from the lunatic battery, and then Lilly started seeping into the very void Claudia had entered, and Jason was getting too close to even getting grasp of it. He needed to do something, and the closes party was Lilly. "HOLD THE LINE!" he yelled, before he grabbed a handgun on one of his fallen enemies. Aiming would be awful, but it was a chance he had with his busted arm. He pushed forward towards Lilly, handicapping one of the Vipers inadvertently in the process, and called out "Jones, you get your ass back here now!"

- RAVEN -
Lilly grasped the icicle in hand and began to plunge it into herself, at first her sharp scream was something she could not muffle as she wrestled and wrangled with the bullet lodged in her side. Her hand almost lost its grip, as the shouts and muffles of battle were barely heard underneath the pitched tone that played in her head. Her vision became blurry, darkening somewhat beneath half-lidded eyes before she finally felt relief...and then pain all at once. The bullet was out, falling onto the floor as Lilly remembered an old trick she taught Luke. When in doubt, tear it out. She tore at her sleeves, watching them reach up them reach up, near her shoulders before they cut off and she tied the stripped fabric around her waist, covering the bullet hole.
The next strip was wrapped tightly around the wound in her shoulder, she only hoped that no more bullets would pierce through her as she made the wall of ice rise with her when she stood. The gun was on the floor and she picked it up in time to try and aim, the pain was still there, burning as ever, and moving was only going to be more difficult. But at this point, she was stable, or as stable as she could get. She rested on the icy wall as she walked, her breaths, still heavy from what she had endured. The icicle had melted, forming a puddle underneath her. She stepped out of the view of her wall to feast her eyes on the view of the imposing figure and the fiend-like queen. The ice wall between her and the others melting, not being upheld any longer as she watched it become the water between her two hands. She was at least thankful a wall were between the two foes.

- JONATHAN KRAMER - He barged through, two bullets left, and he used them on a Viper who decided to try and take a jab on Lilly. She had done something, and from the looks of it she's a little more stable. He approached her under the gunfire and melee scattered around. "Damn it Lilly, don't get too carried away." He took another look. "You good?"

KINETIC WARDEN In a matter of seconds, the whole scene of battle had changed. The Warden's feign had gone unrecognised; the individual he had arrived to save instead coming in headfirst. A wall of ice had been erected, and now the Broker was here. As he tended to the individual adjacent to him, he shot the supreme leader a cold stare, before chiseling some ice from the wall. Grimacing, he used the sharp object to pry the shrapnel from his wound, and stepped out to face Nariko. "...They're not with me." He raised his quarterstaff once more, to continue the fight. NEMESIS As Apollo spoke, Elizabeth looked out into the field. The fight really was brutal. No amount of planning, nor any strategy could possibly change the fact that what lay ahead was pure chaos. She then smirked, and looked to him, "For someone who appeared to be hellbent on killing anyone unnatural, you're very soft," her smile faded as she remembered the severity of the situation, "nobody will die. Killing is an obstruction of justice, in every form. As for what we're doing... well I figured you could help with that. Getting any signs of any bad energies around?"

- INDRAN - "Alright." He said, stepping out of the tent a few seconds after, box in arms. He looked around the little 'base', seeing if anyone needed one of the blankets in the box. He saw a woman, hunched over, holding something in her arms. He walked over to her, and saw that it was a baby in her arms. He gave the lady 2 blankets. She quickly said thank you and then bundled up the baby with one blanket. Ajay continued walking around, handing out blankets to those who needed them.

Pathfinder shrugged, "Starlass, Grace, name doesn't make much of a difference to me personally." He walked over to the side of the roof and looked at the ongoing battle a few blocks over, in plain view, before extending a hand, "Pathfinder, or James for those who pay attention to what goes on in East City. I run the Rooks. Just came to see what was going on with the Safe Zone people, they've made repairs in East City a pain in the ass by blocking off the quickest route, didn't expect to find you here." He looked at her and noted a rather troubled look, could have been her identity being revealed and that could have just been a constant since then, or maybe something different, "I was never one for the Tower, or any of the stupid leaders this city has had recently, but you've done enough good in this city to earn the respect of me and my people. But what brings you here? You've stayed low for so long and you choose to return now." He paused, "If you need help, I'm happy to assist. If you just came to watch as well, I could go find another roof if you would prefer. I was not aware this one was already occupied."

Kay twitched. They didn't want to go into the fray, there was no need. They were nice and safe on their rooftop but what they wanted to do gnawed at them inside. They couldn't wait any longer. It seemed heroics was contagious.
They left the rooftop down a fire escape at a slower pace before darting towards the bridge. They ran from cover to cover. Just reaching the edge. Closer to it was even more messy. Kay took the gun from their hiding place at their back releasing the safety. Hopefully it would not be needed.
Achilleus danced among boulders of his own creation. They had to give it to him, that was not something they had ever seen the Broker do. Kay was careful watching round them as they moved towards their one time employer.
--
As Ali made the rounds once more they flicked on their communicator to all channels after a bit of fidgeting and feedback that had their ear ringing.
"This is Sanator Hippocratia to all Tower personnel. How are you all doing? Do any of you need support from our station? I know exactly how much you guys like running into bullets."
Her tone was rye especially at using her old moniker.

The door opened, the table was there, they set down their best friend, and finally sat down to have a drink. Today was a rough day, exhausting, filled with frustration, but there were some bright sides to it. Tomorrow would be productive, very productive, and to not finish their work tomorrow would be lacking behind. They were close, so close, yet it was so far.
It was getting late, and their mind needed a rest from the voices that led them in the direction they were going down, so they turned on the nearby monitor to look at what's going on.
There was nothing, no laughter, no smiles, no bad sitcoms to divert their attention away from reality. All there was were rolling news coverage of what was going on at the Citadel. It seemed the High Chancellor and Acchilleus finally decided to relieve the attention and to destroy each other. It was an uncanny sight, one that mimicked what happened two months ago, except this looked more personal.
And that was when they remembered, after keeping an eye on the footage for so long.
She was there.
It was obvious, and it kicked them after the realisation. It made their blood boil at the fact, more so than they thought it would because it was personal.
Their hands clawed up and their breathing deepened with seething hatred, but another breath later allowed them to compose themselves and think of what to do.
It was time to go, their work wasn't done yet.
They grabbed their best friend, one that has accompanied them throughout all this, and they left with one destination in mind.
The Citadel.

THE QUEEN OF HEARTS | Alice Drake The arrow sailed through the air, Alice already in stance and steady to intercept. But as she threw herself into an immaculate swipe she felt an unexpected force around her legs. Alice toppled to the ground, and as she fell - consumed by immediate shock, rage and frustration - she flailed around to find Sienna Waters herself to be the source. "I told you to stay away. You really need to listen sometimes." Alice hit the ground with a thud, her hip clashing with the concrete. She was sore but not injured. Just as she jerked to scream at her ally, she saw the arrow once more - still in view - find a target in a spot in the ground; the mounted explosive leaving a crater in the concrete. "Damn," she coughed, looking to Sienna in blank disbelief. She gritted her teeth, and pulled herself up while giving stern eye contact, "Noted. Don't you ever try that again."
Emma Fitzgerald / Tommy Drake
June 2056, Scarlet City It had been nine months since Emma had been liberated from her dark and abuse-laden life. She was safe now and almost happy. Though she still missed her sisters as well as the ideal people here parents could have been, she had finally moved on. That was until they found her. As Emma sat in the flat, nursing a cup of tea while watching up on her teen drama shows a familiar, violent knock on the door resounded through the rooms. Two knocks. Then three. Then two more. Her father. It was exactly how he would knock on the girls' bedroom door when they'd locked themselves in, often to escape their parents. Whenever he'd use that knock he'd be furious; the girls often expecting the door to fly off of its hinges, and here he was again and - as always - she couldn't escape him. She tried to ignore it, but moments later heard the roars and cries of "Emma! Emma! We know you're in there!" "Carl, do we have to do this?" "That bitch thinks she can get away with everything she's put us through!?" Emma ducked down immediately, almost dropping her mug as she tried to set the tea down on the worktop. She paced around the room frantically, sizing up her options but ultimately buckling under fear. Ultimately, she had to answer the door. She could never say no to them, no matter how hard she tried. But as she reached for the handle something stopped her. Tommy's hand rested on hers, holding her still. He had seemingly appeared out of nowhere - Emma thinking him off on some mission - yet here he was, out of the thin air, with his finger to his lips telling her to keep quiet. Clearly he'd gotten back early, and really picked his moments. "Into the kitchen." he mouthed to her, Emma nodding and running off to the far other room. Tommy then straightened his back, fixed his hair and feigned ignorance; nonchalantly opening the door slightly to greet Emma's parents as strangers. "Can I help you?" he moaned in a tired and annoyed voice, playing the part of disgruntled neighbour. He stood in front of them in a white button-down shirt, black jeans and a thin, red leather jacket with its sleeves rolled up his forearms. "So you're the sonofabitch that's been hiding her!" Carl Fitzgerald spat, around five foot eleven; hefty with a bald head sent bright pink with anger. Tommy was glad there was little resemblance. Carl forced his hands through the crack of the door, only to be stopped by the door's chain and Tommy standing unflinchingly in his position. "I don't know what you're talking about," Tommy growled back, the young man showing off his acting chops as a pissed off teen, "This is my place. No one else's. What do you think you're doing!?" "We're here for Emma." Carl interrupted, afterwards raising his voice to clearly project to anyone potentially listening inside the flat, "And when we get our hands on you, Emma, there's no more warnings!" "Woah!" Tommy interjected with a fiery passion, pulling the door's chain off, swiftling joining the couple outside the flat and slamming the door behind him. He sized up to Emma's dad, pushing him back with one hand. As he spoke he witnessed Emma's mother; skinny, pale and witch-like. Though she was quiet her eyes pierced Tommy's skin like knives and her sneer burned a hole in his soul. "I don't appreciate some stranger coming to my home," Tommy pushed him again, "Screaming Bloody Mary at my door and then threatening people on my doorstep!" Carl simply faced Tommy, unflinching himself, sizing up the teen as his thoughts raced to assess the situation. "Now," Tommy cocked his head up, "I don't know your daughter, though seeing as you're having to look for her... I'm pretty fucking happy for her that she managed to get away from a pig like you." With that final remark Carl broke into a rage, swinging a wild punch at the youth's face. Tommy laughed, simply ducking and moving to avoid the blow entirely. This repeated a few times as Carl desperately attempted to release his rage, this was until - having had enough of humiliation - Carl wiped his brow and - from his pocket - produced a long knife. Tommy's eyes darted open as Carl's wife egged him on. No more playing around; time to send a message. Carl ran at Tommy, waving the knife around. Tommy let him get close and - upon one potentially punishing slash - reversed the man's momentum and weight on himself, turning Carl away from him and sending him flailing to the ground with a well placed kick in the back. Carl stumbled and fell through the air, and as he did Tommy found no difficulty in plucking the blade out of the meat-headed father's hand faster than he could notice. Carl fell to the ground onto his behind, dazed by the sudden and quick movements of the teen before him. He breathed heavily in shock as his wife looked on in horror and disbelief. But in one last bought of rage Carl spun around ready for one more confrontation, only to be met with Tommy holding the knife at arms length to his throat. Having heard everything these two had done; Emma's sister, the abuse she'd faced herself, and now haven't witnessed it in person Tommy wanted nothing more than to make sure they could never hurt her again. Though it didn't have to end in bloodshed. "Leave," Tommy hissed, "Look somewhere else cos I'm just getting started." Quickly she helped pick Carl up off of the ground as they scuttled away in fear. The man turned back from one final retort from a distance, "She's not here," he said to his wife before turning to project to Tommy, "Our girl would never fall for a creep like you!" "Oh!" Tommy shouted, grabbing there attention for one last cathartic jab, "If you do find her, maybe send her my way? Maybe she likes bad boys?" And they were gone. Mission Accomplished.

>> SONAR << The boy hero was crouched behind a pile of rubble to avoid Raver's bullet volleys, preparing another disintegrating blast at the ground ahead of him, when a heavy impact knocked him to the ground. His ears rang as the sound of exploding concrete surrounded him, and his vision turned red - whether it was blood or fabric, he couldn't really tell. His vision went fuzzy for a moment, then slowly came back. A man had knocked him over. Johnny tried to move, but a sharp stinging left his shoulder feeling immobilised. He was soon aware of a cold breeze crawling across his back, and the blue-ish mist that was settling around him. The ringing in his ears was still there, drowning out any other noise. He looked up at the red-coated man, and for the first time in his life, couldn't find the right quip to take the edge off his situation.

Nariko grunted as a spike of ice struck her in the back, digging deep into her armour. The kevlar withstood almost all of the impact, but it left a shallow cut from where the tip broke through. As she reached back and pulled it out, a wall appeared in front of her, cutting her off from the warden. This prompted her to turn around to find the source of the sudden barrage of ice, where, as expected, it was revealed to be the silly girl with the katana. That wasn't the interesting part though- no, that was that his majesty the Broker had wandered up to the scene. Raising her shotgun, Nariko looked back at the Warden with a shrug. "You're bleeding pretty badly there, old man, and I would rather not kill you if I don't have to." She gave him a wolfish grin. It would be a shame to end a venerable warrior in this kind of battle. "Why don't you go do some heroing or go get better or whatever, right? I'm here to kill the Broker, and I really don't think he's worth you saving."
Jason withdrew his hand, looking at the woman gasping for air beneath him. She looked so... Broken. Suddenly, he was filled with sympathy as the vicious murderer became little more than a wounded girl. This felt wrong, all of it, the killing and the maiming and... Damn it, he had to pull himself together. No matter what he felt, no matter how much he hated it, he was doing this and there was no going back. Reaching down, he picked up the gasping woman by the throat, and, with a roar, threw her in a long arc... Right off the side of the bridge.
Now standing, Reaver watched with a frown as an explosion went off with Crimson and Sonar inside. If they both died in it, that would be perfect, but it seemed unlikely. Her time in this little fight was done anyway though- the Broker had run off, and she had lost interest in anyone left nearby. "Have fun boys, play nice." She called out, turning to head back out into the brawl... And her heart froze. Snowflake could not, in fact, fly, so seeing her sailing through the air was never a positive sign. When that arc was bringing her off the side of a bridge, it was an even less positive image. Reaver's quick mind ran over every option she had in that split second, but, rather tellingly, it was her heart (or whatever biological function that drove sentiment) that made the next action. Darting to the side, she hurled herself right off the side of the bridge towards the falling woman, hand outstretched. She attached the grapple to the bridge above as she fell, as she tried her damnest to catch Snow's hand. If it wasn't for the danger, Reaver would consider this darkly amusing- she was always reaching for Snowflake.

Ripley stared him straight in the eyes, "No. If you get caught I'm coming after you, even if they drag you to the ends of the earth I'll come for you because you're my," He paused for a second, wanting to say something else,"you're my friend, my greatest and only friend. There's no way in hell that I'll let someone take you." He tapped his forehead against Felix's, pulling back and giving him a wide grin, "You'll be safe with me, don't worry."

KINETIC WARDEN The adrenaline of battle had wore off, and the Warden began to feel the sharp pains from the shrapnel wounds more intensely. He focused on Nariko's words, to avoid facing the pain, and would have focused on reengaging the foe: but she was already on the move. He had stopped a crushing blow being delivered to the ice-wielder, in the process stalling the mercenary from doing anything fatal. He shot a glare over to the Broker and his associate, one sternly told them not to mess up. He would have aided them, but the pain was too much. In this situation, he would have preferred that the chancellor remained alive, though he and Acchilleus did cause this fight, and as such he would not shed a tear if they died. He blinked out of the fray, returning to face Ali as he spoke over comms, "I'm en route. Suffered some wounds whilst engaging the Adamant Tyrant. Operatives, keep an eye out on the High Chancellor, the Ravager's expressly want him." SKYLARK As she flew in the air, Aderyn frantically searched for her nemesis. She couldn't believe the Harvester had escaped so deftly. It was then that she swore to herself that she would not allow him to do so another time. Until then, however, she would be distracted; as she spotted the familiar guise of Sonar off in the distance. Flying closer, she then spotted a man in red delivering what seemed to be a bloody beating, and suddenly she began to feel the sheer dread that was felt when Cassie died. Aptly engaging her fight or flight mindset, she flew low, and charged to the man in red. When she was close enough, she manipulated the air around her to provide even more force as she moved to grab her target, in order to tackle him to the ground. STARLASS She listened intently as 'Pathfinder' began to elaborate. The only person she had heard call her what he did in recent times was Blacklist, yet that particular occasion naturally seemed forced. This guy seemed genuine, though that wasn't enough to satisfy her doubt. "You could say I'm keeping a lookout, yes," she paused for a moment, contemplating whether or not to mention her parents, "Have you seen any of the Tower regulars around here? Nimbus? Compound? I'm surprised I can't see them myself."

"Clever man." Nariko nodded approvingly, before turning to the matter at hand. The girl, she could ignore. She was bleeding and down, and frankly her life or death was unimportant. No, the focus was on Kramer, High Chancellor and Broker. Reloading her shotgun to slug rounds, she hefted it to her shoulder and took aim. She began to charge, firing heavy round after round into her target. Time to test what his armour was really made of.
