JONATHAN KRAMER Jonathan kept his weapon held firm as Reaver started to talk. The voice he would never forget, exclusively for worse. Worse still, she had Jade within reach. Her commanding voice stopped all force, the mice included, as her voice resonated with everyone. It seemed Reaver was making a serious bet, and whether or not it would succeed would be a matter of her next words. The silence was only ruined by the sound of raindrops, slowing, but still pouring and soak all outside. Another focal point took out the silent, and that was the ice wall shattering and falling onto the bridge and into the waters below. Didn't have a follow up, just two people in an empty space with a woman between the two. He needed to be careful, until he started with a slightly dangerous statement. He smirked a little towards Reaver. "Lovely to see you again, looks like we can't get rid of each other." He turned to Rick. "Put the weapon down you bloody girl, the grown ups are talking." Back to Reaver, weapon still pointing at her. He cracked his neck. "Taste is subjective, and I'm pretty sure our mutual friend has excellent taste. Good music, clothes," he looked at himself, "friends and partners, even in dangerous situations," back to Reaver. "I personally only object to her taste in tea, more of a coffee person, strong, might be something you drink every morning judging from how much work you've done to the city. After all, I've spent every waking second working to repair the damage you've done!" He smile weakened. "Something tells me you and I are destined to do this forever, which says more about you than it does me." He chuckled lightly. "But that's for another time, and the only think keeping you, me, and everyone here alive is her." He nodded towards the turrets. "They won't fire unless she goes down, so you can keep her alive and we can keep talking, or kill her and not make it out alive."

- THE VIPER -
Rick glanced at the man, raising an eyebrow as he only drew the gun closer to the hostage, the barrel now pressed under their neck, only making the man stop struggling so much and quiver in fear as he glared towards the man simply referred to as 'Jon'. He kept his finger off the trigger, for now, he was sure that killing half of their leverage wasn't exactly going to work in either of their favour. So he continued to keep the gun raised, observing the conversation between the two, from the sounds of it, things were personal, almost sickeningly intimate in a way and it was only the constant sound of the gate being strained to its limits by the Vipers on the other side that relieved Rick that at least some people he could trust would make his way toward him soon.

Reaver Reaver couldn't help but chuckle. It was the same old Broker after all- all bark, wishing he had a bite. "Still quipping, are we? I don't think you really grasp the nature of the situation." She gently lowered the blade, pressing it very slightly against the young woman's neck. "You, of course, know how fast I am. There's a pretty good chance I can get out the way of those silly guns before they kill me, and if I do, you might lose everything. Right now, I hold the cards, Jon. So aim your toys somewhere else, before the woman you think you love spills all her blood all over the floor." She raised her head, and looked him dead in the eye. She wasn't bluffing. "I don't know much about your love, Jon." She couldn't say his name without a sneer. "But I imagine that watching her die might be distressing."

JONATHAN KRAMER Jonathan looked at Reaver, spouting Jon over and over again as if it would do anything. "You're fast but everyone has their limit, and something like this is a give and take. You've become too repetitive, and repetition tends to lost effectiveness after a while so let me explain." "You are on my property where I make the rules. I have a good feeling that there will be some reinforcements on the way from the UN due to how national Acchilleus' actions have now become. You kill Jade, they will fire on you and all your friends, you may get out of it but I have a good feeling you'll run into Claudia on the way out." His smile became crooked. "And she would love to meet you again. We all die, my side dies as heroes, they raise a statue in my and everyone else here's honor, died for the city." "By not killing her you are in a stalemate. You can talk about what you want and you and everyone else here may get out of here alive. You see, you may be fast, but everyone else amongst you aren't, because despite popular opinion love doesn't conquer all." He hinted towards Crimson's end. "As I am sure Miss Norwood would agree." "So you see, we can talk about how you're going to get out of here alive, because I am more than happy to let you leave, but just remember as you think of some terms you might want that Jade staying alive is what's keeping you talking. "Don't kill her, I win, kill her, I win more."
DR ADRIAN COOPER Keep it on her head, it's now down, breath in, and make sure she doesn't do anything stupid. The cross-hairs were on Reaver, and the finger was on the trigger. She makes a move, he'll pull it.

- Jade - As they talked on, and on, and on, Jade found herself getting closer to the edge with every second this dragged out. She fought the shivers as they all stood out in the cold and waited for this to end, one way or the other. Right now, Jade was too numb to take in each of the negotiators' words and cocked her head up slightly as she snapped. "Don't you love me?" If the yard wasn't silent before now, you would be able to hear a pin drop through the pouring rain- which was exactly Jade's intention. She needed everyone to listen. "You want me to stay alive, right?" Jade turned her glare from Jonathan and turned her head a little towards Reaver, "And you, you want to get out of here, correct? I'm sure we can come to some agreement not involving anymore bloodshed."

JONATHAN KRAMER The gun kept it's aim as Jon's breathing became heavier and heavier. He knew he was walking a tightrope but there was one thing he didn't consider, the middle ground. He knew what he could get and give and the same would apply to Reaver, but the middle ground was where everyone was. He was a complete fucking idiot, two months, likely more, of this chaos and his actions not only were reckless, but selfish. That was his crippling flaw, not his connections, not the danger that surrounds him, but his possible inability to consider those around him, and the realisation was scaring him. The poor men and women doing him some work, Jade at the Pave that night, Daniel Wu, Kay, Luke, Lilly, Alex, Jason, Felix, Claudia, Mira, then back to Jade. The list was piling up, and his fixation on the end goal only added to that list. Why did I start doing this? he pondered to himself, closing his eyes. To get away from the bureaucracy and corruption, to give people a better avenue, and to help people, and the fact that he has failed all three original reasonings nearly made him tear up. What is Ralph thinking of me now? Would he be horrified if I saw him again? He needed to fix this, and he breathed out. The woman of magic, and the woman who drew blood was in front of him. He needed to start fixing it, and he took the first step. The clip of his weapon fell to the ground and he kicked it back, throwing the shell of the handgun to one side. He stared into Reaver. "Let's talk, no bullshit."

Reaver Reaver kept up her smile as the girl asked if he loved her. That was what she needed, something to bring the Broker back exactly to what he might lose. However, her face hardened as he dropped his weapon. There was no time for games, for laughter, anymore. It was time to end this mess. "Yeah. No bullshit." She agreed, pulling her sword back by an inch, giving Jade room to breath. "The man who led this attack is dead, Broker. You beat Acchileus, fair and square too. Well done, I suppose." She conceded that. Libertas would never be known as the hero he seemed to want to be. "But I'm not him. So here's what I want. I want everyone left on his side of the field to be allowed to leave in peace. Me, my Ravagers, the mercs, the Vipers, all of them. This battle is done, and we don't need anyone else to die when frankly no one gets anything out of continuing to fight." She looked back to Rick for a moment, and gave him a flash of a smile. "And one more thing. I came here for not only my own satisfaction. That was high on the list, but not everything. I want the kid, Felix, back into our care. If he comes with us... No one else gets killed."

||| PROJECT: SUPERNOVA ||| Threat level re-evaluated. Foe operating at 1.3x P:S current capabilities.Weighing options:45% - Buy Time For Higher Power Level30% - Retreat25% - All Out AttackThe android hovered still as the blast approached it, running calculations in real-time based on the new level of power Starlass was displaying. It was a significant increase, proving that the copy's former calculations underestimated her quite wildly, but Supernova was confident it could still win this battle by continuing its previous plans. As it made this decision, the beam of light collided with Supernova's chest, not causing any serious damage thanks to its ability to absorb most of the energy, but the impact still pushed it back, out of threat range of Grace Scott. Readjusting its flight controls, Supernova came to a stop some two dozen metres from where it started, the excess energy absorbed from the beam ejecting itself from the tiny exhaust ports covering its body. Slowly, it gained altitude, raising its voice so its opponent could still hear its threats. "Okay. We will do this your way, then." Light balled in both its hands, held palm-upwards at its sides. Charging for attack magnitude 6 - 40%"This is your one chance to run. Feel free to take it. If you don't, I promise that you will die tonight." >> ARES WARBANDER << The battle had grown silent over the last few minutes, a lull in the battle Ares did not expect. He couldn't make out the words, but voices were being raised on the other side of the wall. Too bad the damn thing made it impossible to gauge who was winning the standoff. His sword swung down, but this time the wall responded - at least, it seemed to. Small chunks of ice dust exploded from the structure, falling to the ground like snow as a web of cracks spread across the frozen barrier. Someone had hit a shatterpoint, and now the wall was starting to give way. Reinvigorated the the sudden progress, Ares stepped back, rearing up for a heavy blow. Excalibur glowed a bright gold once again, as if it were channeling the passion its wielder put into the swing, and as it hit the ice it dug deep. The blade stuck tight for a moment, then broke loose, taking with it a chunk of frozen water the size of a man's torso that smashed loudly when it hit the pavement. Ares had left a dent in the wall. Feeling the satisfaction build inside him, he let out a war cry and took another swing.

GRACE SCOTT | STARLASS Heartania | Citadel Outskirts 1st December 2063 | 06:14PM No matter what she threw its way; no matter how much she endured, Grace did not seem to be able to break the will of the assassin. Suppose that's what you get when your thoughts are powered by a computer. It seemed to be increasing in power, and now it had stopped copying her own actions like-for-like; instead preparing its own lethal attacks. As such, she had to shake up her arsenal. Before doing that, however, she found the time to call back to the android with incendiary words, "I'd say the same to you, but you can't die: that would require you to live first." Recalling her fight with Inferno, all those months ago, Starlass adapted the highly effective light cage she had once summoned into a 2-3 metre long, metre high barrier of light. She crouched behind it, hoping that the mass of energy would help absorb the incoming attack. It would buy her enough time to finally drive the impostor back. PERCIVAL VALOURMOUNT | PERCY VALMONT Heartania | Waterfront District 1st December 2063 | 06:15PM A rush of cold took hold of Percy's body, as his head began to spin and his hairs stood on end. He wasn't expecting such a sensation; the constant onslaught of which making a night he wished he would forget. "This whiskey is really strong, my bird-loving friend: drink up!" Rather than stupidly rush into the ongoing fight at the infamous Citadel, Percy had managed to convince Karwin to take advantage of the evacuated bars across Heartania; to take a drink, and be able to put their feet up as they watched rolling coverage of the battle. It was exactly what he needed after such a trying day. It was something of an odd comfort to watch a fight unfold, appealing to his Warbander instincts, and even without it; some aspects of the raging event was comical. With slightly slurred words, and a merry tone, he called out to his newfound companion, "Can you imagine the planning for this? My God, that would be even more brutal than the brawl itself! And those turrets, you can't even keep up with them! Betcha glad you kept out of this one, eh?"

JONATHAN KRAMER "Achilleus was a fool coming here, if only he waited then he would've had a chance at power." He chuckled lightly. "I'm sure you'll agree that I'm not one to go down easily." He looked around, everyone was tired, cold, wet, he pointed to Rick. "You, if you don't want to aggro the mechanics in the courtyard then I suggest you tell your cronies out there to pipe down." He nodded to a nearby mouse and they went inside before he turned back to Reaver. "I'll let you leave quietly with no caveats, albeit under a cross-hair until you get past the outer gate, but Felix is going to be a difficult condition. He vanished not too long ago." He crooked his head, satisfying a small ache he has. "Couple of people grabbed him to take him away and I know nothing beyond that."
ANDRAS MORGAN The cracks became bigger as the pressure increased, until the entire structure collapsed to the cheers of the mice, Andras included, and they were poised to charge at those at the gate. "Standby." Claudia's order stunned Andras, who turned towards her. "We have them backed into a corner, we need to charge them." "There's negotiations on the other side of that gate." She turned to Andras. "Maintain the wall but don't open fire, if it breaks down, we'll charge." Andras wasn't exactly happy, but her word was word. He glared at the remaining enemies clamering at the gate, and alongside everyone else stepped through what was left of the ice wall. The wall of shields went up, but there was no advance.

-THE COURTYARD- “No, I’m here.” A strong but slightly shaking boy’s voice filled the air, and out of the corner of Jade’s eye she saw Felix step towards her. Reaver’s blade moved an inch away from her neck, and with all eyes on the kid Jade saw her moment to vanish. With her telekinesis she edged a bead off her bracelet and hurled it at the ground; and –poof- she was gone before even the flash and smoke appeared. Felix stopped a moment, confused, but then continued walking towards Reaver as he had made up his mind. This had to happen, he had tried explaining it to Ripley before he walked into the middle of the courtyard and he really hoped he would listen. He had to end this now, before anyone else got hurt. With his chin turned up against Reaver, not looking at Rick as he passed him and his hostage, he glared at her with his fists clenched by his side. “I’m here.” Snowflake, who had watched it all from the top of the wall until now, let out a long deep breath. ’Finally. After all this time, after these two months, we’ve got him.She started skidding down the stairs and leapt towards them, Reaver and Felix, and stopped abruptly behind Reaver with a relieved and sinister smile on her face. “Hello little brother. Long time, no see.”

- THE VIPER -
At once, Rick could hear and see the glacier crumble much to his astonishment, he didn't believe that it could melt away so quickly, and to make matters seemingly worse, the hostage was gone, quite literally vanishing into thin air, only adding to his surprise. Rick kept a tight grip on his own, dedicated in getting out, that the plan couldn't fall right now and from the looks of the scared boy who wandered off towards them, it seemed that one hostage only got exchanged for another. He turned back, and with one last push, the Vipers pushed through the gate, and the shutters rose through their efforts. His eyes met theirs, somewhat bewildered and panicked as they revealed the forces on the bridge that were simply standing by, waiting, watching.
“We're done here,” started Rick as he nodded at the Vipers and began walking out of the gates, still keeping his hostage close to him as he slowly began making his way down the bridge. It was only a matter of time that he found himself in close proximity with those that had brought their forces down. He glanced at the others, still keeping his hostage before he made his way through them with the Vipers almost surrounding him, their guns aimed at everyone and everything. By the time they made it to the other end of the bridge, Rick felt compelled enough to push his hostage towards the floor, shaking his head when one of the Vipers silently asked if they could kill them. Vehicles upon vehicles were parked haphazardly at the end of the bridge, hopefully, there was enough for Rick, the Vipers, and it seemed the others to get in and drive off. “Break the windows.” At once, shards of glass lay broken at their feet, and before he knew it, himself and the Vipers were all in as many cars as they could fit into. Rick sat in the driver's seat, keeping a close eye on his surroundings, and waited for the others.

- THE COURTYARD - “Flurry, why did you do this?” “Because you’re a pesky little rat to catch.” “But you’re siding with one of the men who tried to kill me.” Snowflake blinked at this and turned to the man Felix looked at, holding the Ravager’s only hostage; Rick. “He tried to kill me on the fiel-“ The sentence was interrupted by a loud smack and the feeling of hot charcoal burning on his face. Luckily for him, Snowflake was still weak after her battle with Jason so the slap was weaker than the hatred coursing inside her chest. “Felix, do you know how many people died because I tried to catch you? How long I’ve been searching, hoping that you still weren’t here with that-“ she pointed angrily at the Broker, “ despicable, insane monster?! How could you stay here with them, after all of this?” Felix looked to the ground, only mumbling out an answer. “I didn’t want to go home.” “ What?” “I DIDN’T WANT TO GO HOME, TO YOU, MOM, DAD, I HATE IT THERE, I HATE Y-“ The feeling of a second, harder smack plastered across Felix’s face and he felt momentarily dizzy, before he was dragged by the arm to a nearby van like a stubborn three-year-old. Snowflake angrily smashed the window and opened the backdoor, nearly throwing Felix into the backseat, before she walked around to the driver’s side and smashed that window too. She had, simply put, had enough of everything. Taking this opportunity to leave, she got in the car, looked out the window and gave Reaver a nod, before she started the vehicle and drove off, assuming that everyone would follow her lead.

JONATHAN KRAMER The gates buckled a little under the pressure, but he knew that it just meant the end, the end of a very long day. He signalled the gates to open all the way, and the bulk shutters lifted to show off the disgusting state of the bridge. Filled with debris, blood, and bodies. It was uncomfortable, but it would only be a temporary sight. What was more surprising was Felix willing to give himself up. After two months, it took a battle to have him leave. He wasn't surprised, the bloodshed and exhaustion was enough to break even the strongest of wills, and something told him that the worst was only on the horizon. Whether or not it would involve Reaver or not is undecided, but right now he focused on getting his enemies out. "Felix," he said to the boy. "The fact that you dived into that minefield is something worth bragging about to your parents, and you leave here with your head held high." The corner of his mouth rose. "Don't go into something like this again." The reaction Felix got made him uncomfortable, hopefully the boy can take comfort in the fact that they could be proud of him, and if they weren't, he had a small family who were.
CLAUDIA KRAMER The atmosphere was unsettling as the Vipers walked towards them, and even though they could rush them and subdue every last one of them, the fact that the cannons ran silent, the gate opening, and Jonathan still alive suggests something might have been worked out. Both sides had their spirits crushed, and while her side was fired up, she knew it would end badly if they acted as such. "Let them by," she commanded, and the unit split into two, standing at each side of the road as the Vipers passed between the two. She glared at all of them, memorising faces, and taking note on how to possibly chase them out of the city.
DR ADRIAN COOPERCooper's eyes widened. There was a real sense of relief that Jade was out of the clutches of Reaver, but what astonished him was what he was seeing on two different channels. She saw nothing, but thermals showed otherwise.
So she can vanish at will...
There was a sombre feeling in his gut, the knowledge, and it's consequences, started to pain him. He knew from observing her that she possessed the power of telekinesis, but the fact that she can vanish at will ironically could paint a target on her back. Killian might want her, Rhys might want her, and he'll be damned if she suffers the same fate as the poor boy did when he was first taken.
And with the sight of Felix in the car it was time for him to leave. He took a deep breath before putting the rifle back on his back. The cloak he was wearing didn't cover it, but with the darkness and under the guise of the night it didn't matter. He took a personal satisfaction that it was all over, and the party he really cared for made it out alive. He stood up, looking down at the battered bridge of corpses and closed his eyes.
Soon...
He opened them, and from the top of the hill overlooking the river of blood he turned around and started walking.

- INSURGENCY -
And so remained six children who thought they could tempt the world in favour, and yet they lost their life for it.
Rick sat down, taking in everything that happened, taking in everything that was happening. He knew that getting Acchilleus to power was going to be a long shot, and he never imagined what the city would have been like under his guise, under his own fingertips where he thought he was helping people, but Rick could see right through him. From the moment they shook hands, and he ordered them all to hunt down Lilly, James, and Luke, and part of him hated himself and yet another almost felt a need for it, the need for revenge no matter what the cost, he knew he would end up with a bullet to the brain eventually. But no, not like this, it was meant to be far from this...*
Luke was on the edge of the hospital bed, pain and heartache continued to tear him to shreds, most of his wounds patched and bandaged as he couldn't stand the sights and sounds of the outside world right now, he glanced up, no longer able to cry, whether from feeling too numb or simply running out of tears. He looked at James who continued to lay in the bed, a heart monitor steadily beeping and the only sound of hope that echoed throughout this bloody chamber. He still missed Lilly, and safe to say, for the first time he almost missed his parents, but what he truly missed was not just them, as he glanced at the picture of James, Lilly, and himself smiling at the camera, what he missed most of all, was family. *
Mira was on the phone, she felt herself almost teary eyed in an odd way as she was congratulated and befuddled with questions by Seth, only after however speaking to her family, making sure they knew she was okay, whilst Seth was asking for her every assurance that everything went to plan, she confirmed them, thankful that she was out safe and almost admitting that relief from the past two months was wonderful. She felt like now was the time for her and Seth to make a life, for themselves, for each other. *
Seth sat down, after having another phone call with Mira. He loosened the tie around his shirt and smiled to himself as he glanced out the window, almost as if there was some kind of congratulation for the things he had done, the things he had planned with and coerced Mira to do. But together, this only helped prove the idea that they were unstoppable. *
“And we now have live coverage that the coup attempted by Acchilleus Libertas, former member of the High Council of Heartania has stopped, that is right, flights will be coming in soon, but there is no comment and no description of what happened to Mr Libertas...”
Sarah glanced up with the others, all the people in the airport crowding around the memorising television screen as the news was read out about the large battle that was dominating the airwaves as of recent, and as she watched the news reporter, she almost smiled.*
“Let's go,” said Rick simply as he heard the many engines of the vehicles come to life at once, the hot wiring finally worked.
And as they drove out, and divulged from the crypts of chaos itself, he knew once and for all, that this insurgency was over.
