- The Zap - As if on cue, Michael's vehicle turned a slippery corner and chugged through the ice and packed snow of the road. He struggled to maintain a smooth cruise. His head-lights were on full blast, yet he still had to peer into the shadowy street due to the sun's unsuccessful illumination, there were tall buildings on either side that didn't allow many rays to penetrate into the region. He had decided that Mirage was most likely near the more rampant chaos, and the Golden Pineapple appeared to be the place to be for all things hectic. Huh. Hectic. I like that word. Michael thought to himself, loosening his grip on the steering wheel. He was nearing a wide alley, and was glad to see that this part of the city hadn't been marauded or devastated by the convict invasion or the rumored monster attack. The word was also that military was on its way to the city. Well they took their sweet damn time.

- Adamant Tyrant -
Nariko grimaced. If they could hold on a little longer, the cloak would be able to overcome the sensors. She needed time. "Pilot, take us over the evacuation zones." It was a gamble, but chances were that the fighters wouldn't shoot them down over civilian targets. - Shade - Shade hp shuddered and writhed on the ground, flickering. Pain from the light had forced memories back into her head. Nightmares memories. A battle was taking place deep within her. "They abandoned you! You fought and you suffered and they fled!" Nightmares voice tore through her unconscious mind. "They'll come back! They'll help me." A counter came against it. The remains of Lucy tried to combat the darkness. A light amidst chaos. "They won't. They haven't. You've been left behind like the worthless wretch they see you as." Nightmare retorted with a sneer. "You will only survive this if you learn that all that matters is yourself. Hate the Broker. Hate them all. Hate will make you strong, Shade." "They'll come back!" Lucy's voice weakened. As Shade's hope died, so did the arguments of compassion. "Your friends are gone. You are alone. You can only protect yourself." "No!" "Yes! Live, Shade! Live through this! And then, seek revenge." - Hammerfist -Jason was watching the city from the ranch, worry lined in his face. The place was perfect for his family. They were safe up here, at least as safe as anyone was. "Jas!" A voice called out. His sister Kate had come to find him. "The phones going. Sort it out, please?" "Sure." Jason smirked and stepped inside, picking up the offending device. "Hello?" - Argent Mind -Argent Mind had chased Maleficus through alleyways and tunnels aplenty. It took a great deal of effort to catch up with him, but Argent Mind had managed it. "Marshal!" He bellowed. Maleficus turned to face him. "My, aren't you tenacious!" He chuckled. "What are you hoping to achieve? You're tired, wounded and without support. This will only end in your death." "I can stop you, even like this." Argent Mind declared, advancing. "No, you can't. I'm far more powerful than you've ever been." Maleficus' hubris was grating to the hero. "I've stopped many like you before. You're no different." Argent Mind responded. "You'll regret everything you've done to this city." "You'll regret facing me like this... Alf." The Marshal used the heroes name. That caught him off guard. As the hero struggled to respond, Maleficus cackled.

- Starlass -
Starlass rose into the sky to try and take chase, but the VTOL was far too fast for her to keep up. Damn. She'll undoubtedly be back. Watching the horizon that her enemies disappeared over, Starlass sunk slowly back to the rooftop. At least Heartania was safe. For now. Receiving Knight's worried voice over her communicator, Starlass was quick to calm him. "We're alright, just a little hiccup. Things are almost wrapped up here, could you meet us back at the Tower?"
- Compound - Edison rode with nimbus up to the roof, releasing himself from the hero's grip as they reached the top and landing firmly on the rooftop. From here he could see what was going on much better: Starlass was the only one standing, Cooper was at her feet, and Reaver was nowhere to be seen. That must have been that aircraft getting her out. This is... unfortunate, indeed. "Starlass! What happened? Is Cooper alright?" he called out to his leader. Starlass barely turned her head from the horizon to respond to Edison. "Reaver's made it out, unfortunately. We need to round up who's left here and sort out rebuilding efforts. Nimbus, check on Fixer, he took a lot and he might not be stable." Edison nodded, joining Starlass' side on the edge of the roof. "So... what are we going to do about this creep?"

- The Broker - The Broker pulled Lilly and Alex into the car and order the driver to start driving. There was an answer on the phone. He took a deep breath. "Hello Jason...it's me" he said before the car came to a screeching halt. "Sir, there's someone on the ground. A friend" said the driver, prompting Broker to exit the vehicle in a hurry. There she was, Shade, in pain, shuddering, worrying. The Broker, in a panic, pushed the phone against his shoulder and ran to pick her up. "Keep calm Shade, everything's going to be fine." She made some worrying noises, but she can be calmed down. The Broker placed her in the vehicle, sat her right next to Jade, before turning to Jade. "Make sure she's ok". He returned his attention to the phone as the car started moving again. "I see you got the address...how are you finding the place?"

- La Mirage - This wasn't good. Shade was flickering, just like Jade had done only hours earlier. She's losing control. "Shade.." Mirage whispered with a calm, slightly uncertain voice. She'd never handled anyone on the edge before, though she knew a fair bit of being on the verge of tipping over. "Shade.. We're here. You're safe now." Uncertain of how to calm her down, she tried to carefully stroke the shadow creature on the back. "Shh... We're here now."

- Raven - Lilly found herself stuck in a car with The Broker, as she looked around wondering what on earth was going on. She stammered, looking at both Jade and Shade, and looked back at The Broker as the car continued to drive.

- Knight - "Knight, meet me at the green brick building opposite the Golden Pineapple, we'll work our way from there." "Oh," Blake replied directly, switching the comms unit from Starlass to Hawk, his breathing soothing as he still soared through the air, "Of course. I'm en route now." "We're alright, just a little hiccup. Things are almost wrapped up here, could you meet us back at the Tower?" Relieved, Blake sighed hearing Starlass' message. "You got that?" Blake said, inquiring to Dark Hawk about Starlass' message.

- The Dark Hawk - "Got what?" Allyana replied. Blake explained the message. "Oh the comms must be faulty. On my way to the Tower now." She picked up her pace and soared into the air making her way towards the headquarters in her typical Dark Hawk style.

- Hammerfist - "Broker?" Jason gaped, and swayed slightly. "Broker? You're alive? What? How? What's going on? What? How?!" - Shade - Shade suddenly stopped her flickering and riving, becoming solid and still as stone. She simply froze, becoming ice cold to the touch. Her wound started to stream black smoke into the vehicle.
- Marshal Maleficus - "Yes my friend. I know your name." Maleficus smirked as he approached Argent Mind. A telekinetic wall blocked his path. "You're not the first, Marshal. Villains have learned it before." The hero spat, overcoming his shock. "It never helped them. I have no weaknesses left." "Oh?" Maleficus raised an eyebrow. "The mighty hero hasn't got an opening. Lost everything already? So what about your poor daughter? Does she not matter?"

- La Mirage - The sudden cold atmosphere sent chills down Jade's spine as Shade solidified under her hand. She frowned when black smoke started to pour from where her arm should have been and into the vehicle. Jade coughed on reflex and looked for the switch to open the window, while keeping her hand on what would be Shade's shoulders. She talked with a calm voice and resisted the urge to panic. "..we're here now. You're safe." She bit her lip nervously. What do I say to her?! "We won't leave you. You're safe now."

- Crimson - "Sorry, gal!" Crimson called between the roofs to Sla'Nesh as she emerged, seeking the nearest hospital, "Your guess is as good as mine!" And with that, Crimson aimed and fired his grappling hook and with a combination of this and parkour he scaled higher up the building before he reached the absolute top. Looking down on the citizens as ants, Crimson slid down the opposite side of the building's sloped roof, catching himself on the stone guttering; shaking all potential followers and observers. Finding a perch, Crimson replaced his grapple gun in his jacket pouch and produced a simple mobile phone. Quickly texting he waited half a minute before he got a reply. "Hm." he smirked to himself, "So it's ready...." He rang the number, "So," he said into it, "You're sure it's secure? I don't want myself getting found." "....." "And you're certain?" "....." "Alright, I'll have my man hand the cash to your man." "....." "Yes, what he agreed." "...." "Yes!" Crimson insisted, almost frustrated, "Plus..." he calmed down slightly, "A little extra if you got my PC there in one piece." "...." "You did!?" he laughed calmly, "That's good." "...." "The keys? What is this, 2015?! Tell me there's a goddamn program lock on it!" "...." "Thankyou!" Crimson exclaimed with thinned patience, "Send the program file to my PDA, and give me access to your system so I can scrub it. I don't want anyone but me getting access." "...." "Alright." "..." "Pleasure doing business with you..." A few moments passed before the very palm of Crimson's left hand beeped, a small, blue LED flashing in the centre. "Good." he smirked.

- The Broker - The black smoke seeped out, and Shade calmed down. The Broker let out a sigh of relief and he leant over to rest his hand against her stable shoulder. He smiled in a caring manner, before returning to his phone. "I can explain the whole death thing later, what about you? Are safe? How are you finding the new place?"

- Raven - Lilly began to quickly cough as black smoke seem to emanate in the vehicle. She sputtered, trying to focus as to what on earth seemed to be going on in the car. She was thankful when the black smoke seemed to stop being produced.

- Alex Richardson -
After the slick of black smoke dissipated from the car, Alex did as much as possible to take his mind off of Shade. He sat, tapping his feet and biting his nails. "This place has gone to hell." He stated. "I don't think things can go back to normal after last night, and that was just a bombing. How did you three make it this far?"

- Crimson - For Crimson, around twenty minutes passed as he made his way to the undisclosed location, opening each steel gate downwards with the tap of his palm against the lock. Eventually, he came across it in the small clearing underground; a medium-to-large storage container surrounded by strange looking tech; stolen tech which hid the container's signatures. Pressing his hand against the door, Crimson heard a click. Prying open the container, Crimson was contented. A humble bed, a clothes rack and his personal computer which admittedly took up most of the space. From his jacket, Crimson produced a small dome. Squeezing it, it was revealed to be a light, glowing a warm glow. Fixing the light to the ceiling of the container with the strong adhesive, Crimson sealed the door. Cozy. Quickly, Crimson removed his red leather jacket, hanging it on the rack. He also removed his crimson domino mask, wiping off the spirit gum after applying remover. From his jacket - hung up - he also pulled a rag and a flask of water. Dampening the rag, he washed his face; cooling it and wiping off the particulates from the explosion. Crimson separated the one-piece, armoured bodysuit into a shirt and trousers by the use of a zipper around his waist, removing the top segment to reveal the black t-shirt he wore under it. He took a deep sigh before collapsing onto his bed, the springs beaming an audible creak as he relaxed. "Damn." he said, muffled after dropping the damp cloth on his face.
