- Hunter / Raven - Lilly nodded, and stepped out of the car as she quickly rushed up the stairs. What greeted her was a sleeping Luke, which she promptly woke up. She noticed a grey scarf wrapped around his neck. Smiling, she helped him up. "Luke. It's so good to see you. Come on, we need to quickly go," Lilly noted as she began walking out of the apartment, as Luke looked around confused though he gathered his weapons. "Wait, Lilly w-where are we going?" Luke asked, as he rushed to Lilly's side and was shocked to see a car out front. He looked towards her, "What's going on?" Lilly sighed. "I'll explain later. Quickly, get in," Lilly ordered, as she held the car door open for Luke. Luke simply nodded, warily climbing into the back and Lilly after him. She closed the door shut, as Luke looked around to the odd faces he was with. Luke gave a confused glance at Lilly.

- The Broker Lilly came back into the car with Hunter, and without another word the car started to move. The Broker smiled and said "Good morning Luke, or Hunter? Whatever you prefer to be called." He leaned forward a bit. "Interesting that I've been trying to get in contact with you for some time, but as you can probably tell from the recent days, not been possible. I would love to talk about yourself, after all, Kay has left me a little intrigued." He used Kay's name deliberately, hoping to get him to be co-operative. - Frequency - McCall skipped inside the Tower, in both excitement and in dire need. Starlass had asked her about a place to stay, but McCall simply said "Thank's but no thanks. I'm here for three more days and I would be preferred if I was still with my tour." She took a moment to observe. "However, is it possible to quickly get these healed?" She lifted up her top a little to expose two relatively large scars, both from the woman she fought yesterday, in hope that she would be allowed into the medical bay.

- Hunter - Luke glanced at the man who was claimed to be The Broker. So many thoughts were going through his mind, about Kay, their safety and well-being and what exact relationship this man has...or had with them. He contained a sigh of frustration, as he tried to console himself. "How do you know about Kay?" Luke asked, trying to keep as much information unknown about him until he figured what on earth his sister had gotten the both of them into.

- The Broker - "Kay has done some jobs for me in the past, she even got me a lovely piano. Don't worry about her, she's safe" replied The Broker, trying to make himself look presentable to his guest. "We're safe, but it's clear to all of us that we need to act now." He turned to Lilly. "Lilly, why don't you tell your brother what we're doing."

- Hunter / Raven -
"Yeah," Lilly spoke as she turned to Luke who flashed her that concerned glance. "I've made or..or making a deal. We'll get protection and money, if we just help The Broker." Luke was stunned, and couldn't believe his ears. He glanced at both The Broker and Lilly, his fists clenched slightly. "Are you serious?" Luke asked quietly, in a feeble attempt to make sure no one else could really hear. Lilly misinterpreted Luke, smiling and nodding. "So where are we going?" "To The Citadel. The Broker is now the most powerful man in Heartania, and we're helping to rebuild the city," Lilly responded, frowning slightly at Luke's expression. He crossed his arms. "We'll talk more, when we get there. Okay?" Luke nodded, and gazed out the window, somewhat furious at the turn of events.

- Sin Shaman - Sin-Shaman hadn't seen Black bird transform into a doppelganger of herself. The woman did sense something strange, but she had no way of knowing that Black Bird could become other people by using her shapeshifting. After hearing the girl's soft, almost somber speech the sorceress clicked her tongue and turned around. Black Bird was in her girl form now, staring at the woman with her intensely black eyes. "Now now, identity is a complex and intricate concept. Try not to think about it too much, is my advice at least. 'Tis not a bad thing to adopt a new name for yourself, become one with your power." Sin-Shaman advised, harking back to her own decision to permanently change her identity to that of a sorcerer. The irony was that should Black Bird ever decide it, she could adopt the personality of her new friend and cause true havoc. The two had finally arrived at the location for the library. Before them was this snow-covered, rather vacant alley. A long, broad gray fence was next to the thin asphalt street of the alley. The graffiti covered beauty of the red-brick building to which this alley was behind, appeared to be nothing more than just a glorified street-art collage. Yet to Sin-Shaman, it was much more. "Give me a moment to open the portal."

- The Broker - The Broker witnessed the chemistry, oddly hostile. He explained "The focus is to retake and rebuild, while the heroes do what they have to do. They need to focus their efforts on the big threats, while we need to focus on the problems this city has." The car continued driving beyond Pacify Hills, before come across a gate, a large gate. The car stopped and the driver turned off the engine. The Broker took one final sip and said "Come out and take a look at the place. Alex, can you please carry Shade?" Before he could answer, the Broker got out the car and came to the gate. The large gates opened to reveal his new home. A short distance away and across a bridge to a small island stood The Citadel, a fortress built in an irrational world by a council paranoid by the dangers half a planet away. The war generated paranoia, but no one was more panaoid than the majority council elected. Worried about the influx of refugees and the dangers of death, they made a deal despite protests to build a large and stable fortress on the small island on the north side of town. When the structure was completed the war was over, and with no history behind it the building was just abandoned to everyone but the assigned gatekeeper. Now with a purpose, The Citadel can now become the secure home of the government, or rather The Broker and his Inner Circle. The Broker took a large breath of coastal air, and began to cross the bridge towards the fortress.

- Hunter / Raven - Lilly and Luke both got out of the car, and began following The Broker, keeping a few steps behind the man as they gazed at the fortress on the island. "It looks great," Lilly commented, looking towards Luke to prompt him for some insight. Luke simply shrugged, as he allowed Lilly to lead on. The two of them kept quiet, an odd atmosphere brewing between them as they continued walking towards The Citadel. - Acchilleus - The driver stopped in front of The Tower, a colossally grand and imposing building that barely impressed Acchilleus. He noticed the car had stopped in front of a security checkpoint, and he knew the guard would most likely come to question him rather than the driver.

- La Mirage - Jade smiled and somehow got out of the car without much trouble, then looked at Lilly and Luke and quickly introduced herself. "Hello, I'm Jade. If you're in, we'll be working together." She stretched her back and twirled around to get a good look at the city. With the sun rising and reflecting bright light in the unshattered windows of Heartania, it looked pretty battered as it stood tall and proclaimed that a new day was approaching quickly. Then she turned her back on the city and looked at the little island. Majestic, to say the least. Wow.. I'm impressed. In the ruffled, dusty, long purple dress, she quickly walked up to the Broker and followed him across the bridge. - Snowflake - Snowflake opened her eyes slightly, unable to make out to anything besides the light through a car window and the sound of a running engine. Blurry... Everything is blurry. The cushioned surface underneath her was confusing. Didn't she collapse on a concrete roof? And why could she hear muffled voices? "..she looks so harmless." "Quiet, you'll wake her." Snowflakes head bobbed slightly as the car run over a bump in the road. I can't move my body. "Relax! I gave her enough to put a horse to sleep.. Huh?" A man lifted up her head and held it carefully in his hands. She squinted in an attempt to recognize his face, but couldn't make out anything. Eyes, blue. Nose. Mouth. Yup, he's human. "Give me some more of that tranquilizer. She's waking up." "What did I tell you? Luckily we're nearly there.." Something stung Snowflakes neck and she went back into a dark haze.

- Alex Richardson - Alex nodded and picked up Shade, who was remarkably lighter than he expected. He had been carefully listening in on the car conversations and making mental notes. He remained relatively silent, and scarred after what had happened just a few hours ago. The horizon was full of bruised and battered buildings, dotted randomly around. The city was a wreck, albeit the view of the sun rising over it was still beautiful. Over the bridge stood an amazingly fortified and isolated structure. Fresh coastal air filled Alex's lungs, which was a clean refresher from the amounts of smoke which had been inhaled beforehand. He looked down at Shade, then to the bridge and began to follow the rest of the group.

- The Broker - The Broker crossed through the next set of double gates and entered the courtyard of The Citadel, packed with cars and trucks unloading equipment needed for his jobs. He even caught glimpse of his prized possessions from the Pineapple and his old apartment. The place was beautiful but there was no time to explain. He turned to the three people behind him and said "You two siblings get settled and work some things out, seems you two need to talk. Alex, find a place to put Shade and keep her company for a bit." He turned towards Jade. "Jade, please follow me, I think we need to talk." He entered through the main door of the fortress, hoping Jade followed behind.

- La Mirage - "Ah- Of course," she responded with a pair of confused eyes. She glanced back at the others and quickly followed the Broker through the main entrance. She closed the door behind her, and tilted her head. "What's the matter?"

- The Broker - The two started to walk down the main corridor of the building. "I was going to ask you the same thing actually." He gave out a loud sigh. "I witnessed my sister getting killed hours ago, except I'm not too sure if I should believe that...I mean...it happened...yet it didn't....and this--" He cut himself off before he continued further. "I know I'm putting a lot of weight on you, and I know the gun is a lot to place into your hands, but it's a way to keep myself in line despite the punches being thrown at me." There was another door, to the left. The Broker opened it and it lead to a large room with a screen and several books around the walls, and a large table in the middle. There was a series of chairs around the table, and Broker pulled one out and placed it at an angle where he could still see Jade. "I nearly died today, I was shot in the chest three times by a woman, and at that moment I realised the fear of death, the darkness. I don't want to go there yet, and that's why I've placed you in charge of my life if it comes to it." He looked at her worryingly, for he noticed some of her expressions back in the car. "What's troubling you Jade?"

- Hunter / Raven - "He's right," Luke muttered as he began walking towards one of the nearby balconies, Lilly followed on with a worried expression as Luke peered down at the crashing waves below. "I can't believe what you've done." Lilly rested on the balcony, looking up at Luke. "What do you mean? Things are great now," Lilly chuckled, trying to lighten the mood. However Luke wasn't laughing. "I spent three years, hating myself. Wanting to die. Missing you, and not caring any more about life. I hacked stores, casinos, bank accounts, just because I was bored. Nothing drove me any more. Half the time I couldn't get out of bed in the morning, and another half was breaking down. So seeing you- Having you come back, was one of the happiest moments in my life. But you've been gone for a day and this is what happens? You're running for a government now?" Luke mocked, offended at Lilly who was simply staring in shock at his words. He paused, trying to console himself and then added. "When we were kids, when we ran away. We promised to help people. Independently. We weren't doing it for money or protection and I hoped we could live together. Try to live a normal life, and get normal jobs. But this...We can't help lead a city." "Luke-" Lilly started, but Luke simply raised a hand, to stop her. "Don't say anything. You're still my sister and I love you. But this isn't going to be something I forget. Just- Make sure we don't get in trouble. I'll help you. I'll help you make the city better, get money and whatever protection we were promised. But I'm not doing it for the city, or for the money, or even for The Broker. I'm doing it for you," Luke noted and with that he began walking inside. Lilly was left with a mixture of emotions. Understanding, relief, grief, disappointment, shock, sadness...She fumbled around with her phone, needing to distract herself and called Jason.

- Sin Shaman - "Y'see, portals are incredibly time consuming to create. I'm only limited to a handful, and they all lead back to one location. That castle structure on the island some distance away? A slice of that is my own little abode. Fitting for a sorceress, isn't it? At least there aren't gargoyles and vampires, it's quite contemporary. Way too big for me though. Also, there are more and more pests arriving each day. The nerve of some people. So long as they keep to the lower floors, we'll be fine. The gutters are the most apt habitats for mice." Sin-Shaman spoke aloud. She waved her staff in front of the brick wall, dashing it just above the surface of the graffiti. Sin-Shaman then revealed her teleportation portal to the girl beside her; it was a massive swirling green circle which displayed the blurry image of the interior of a small room. "Come with me. Off to the library."
