- The Broker - "I don't appreciate dishonesty within these walls Mira." The Broker was standing against a wall on the far side of the little mouse's room, staring at the female with her sandwich. She was dressed to work, and it was obvious she was a little nervous by his surprise arrival. Surprised he would get, but the sense of nervousness was telling him something, something he knew but that needed to be spoken by her. He walked towards the nearest chair, his footsteps being heard heel to toe, before the chair creeked as he slowly lowered himself. He needed to take it slowly. He looked at Mira, still standing, before holding his hand out to the other nearby chair. "Well, we have something to discuss, please sit down." His tone was low, stern, and emitting an eerie you've-got-some-explaining-to-do aura in the air.

- The Queen of Roses - "Is there something wrong, sir?" Mira was just as stern, resisting every urge to show disdain in The Broker's presence, though she truly did wonder why he was here. It was almost as if they was somewhat denying the real reason. She knew. And judging from the look on his face and the tone of his voice, he knew too. It was only a matter of time, but time could be bought. Through lies or even treachery, time could be obtained, but never left unused. Mira refused to sit down, placing her plate on the bed as she simply looked at The Broker, slightly wide-eyed.

- The Broker - You're hiding something. "Call this an employee evaluation, I'm sure you know what that entails." He kept his eyes on Mira, disobedient, trying to look tough while not knowing she is standing and living behind his walls, walls he has memorised, and walls he hears the whispers through. "Tell me, how are you finding the Citadel?"

- The Queen of Roses - "Good." Mira was never going to give him the satisfaction. The fact she worked for The Broker didn't mean that in any way she felt like she was owned by him, or by anyone for that matter. Mira knew that if The Broker was even thinking of having her removed she would call hell upon him that he had never faced, not even from Councillor Paige and certainly not anything Acchilleus could whip up. However Mira knew she had to remain cool-headed. Even someone like Kramer had powerful allies, but from the looks of things, he was about to make a powerful enemy.

- The Broker - The Broker pulled a small surprised far. "Just 'good'?" He asked. "No 'I wish the hot water was a little warmer' or 'I've noticed a draft in the kitchen'? I should probably get that fixed tomorrow. "Come on Mira, you must have some detail you wish to speak of in the new base of operations." He leaned further back in his chair. "Is there something bothering you? Something you would like to tell me?"

- The Queen of Roses - Besides the people leaving, a civil war brewing and people questioning both your leadership, leading me to do all the hard work? Nothing. Mira held her tongue. "Not that I really know of. Small, minor errors, maybe a leaky faucet or something but nothing serious. Why is there something wrong?" asked Mira, feigning concern. She knew her and Kramer were not addressing the elephant in the room, yet hopefully Mira could shoot the elephant dead before Kramer could bring it up. But Mira knew to some extent, that wasn't going to happen.

- The Broker - "Besides the fact that two dangerous groups are after my throat and I'm suffering some of the unintended consequences for trying to save people? Just ironing out some of kinks of the new job. It's hard having limited walking ability." He leaned on the arm of the chair. "We've lost four people connected to the Vipers, one to death, one leaving here, and two vanishing. Don't suppose you've heard anything about that?"

- The Queen of Roses - "No. I mean someone died today. Multiple people have left. The Vipers are allied with Acchilleus, correct?" There it was again. Mira was feigning. This time it was curiosity, however her patience was wearing thin. She suspected The Broker may know, or even link what happened to her, but didn't have all the pieces to the puzzle yet. And so she had to come into that room and destroy all the pieces before he finished it. However at the same time, Mira's heart palpated, she was nervous. She never suspected having to do any of the things she'd done, not for this. But she knew if she played her cards right, she'd come out on top. Hopefully. This is all fucked up. Mira concluded.

- Felix Norwood - He’s here alone? Just like me? Felix then heard Ripley’s stomach grumble and cracked a smile. “Are you hungry? I know somewhere we can get something to eat.” - Hatty Bellcrest - Hatty listened, feeling slightly impressed, and wrote a couple of words next to the question she’d read out loud from her notepad. The next statement was supposed to bring out the ‘man behind the success’, but since Strahm had already shared a very personal piece of his past she only asked it out of courtesy. “Some things just stick with you,” she sent him a vague smile and took a sip of her orange juice, “like hobbies and habits. You’re quite the dancer, I hear.” - La Mirage - Jade’s phone buzzed as an alarm on her cellphone went off, causing her to give a genuinely surprised reaction. “Oh! Is that the time?” She looked back at the screen, examining the red haired woman’s face. The other one, in the dark trench coat, didn’t seem too interesting to Jade. She reckoned that since she found one, she would find the other. There’s one more thing I need to do before I leave. “T-thank you so much, again! I-if there’s ever anything I can do in return-“ she pulled out a blank business card sized slip of paper from one of her dress’ pockets and wrote down the number of her burner cellphone with a pen, “-give me a call!”

- The Broker - "Correct, they have. And from what you all have told me it seems Luke has fallen into a trap and Lilly went out looking for him." Are you a liar Mira, or is there something I'm not understanding. "Don't suppose you know anything about Lilly leaving don't you?"

- The Queen of Roses - "No. I've spoken to her a couple of times, but I have no idea where she is," declared Mira, still standing, still gazing at The Broker and not willing to let him win, or see through her lies. That's what she was doing. Lying, deceiving, tricking. It's how she flitted through life and how she was going to continue. And no one, not even The Broker was going to stop her, and so she was going to continue, and by now she was not going to break the puzzle pieces, she was going to destroy the puzzle in its entirety.

- The Broker - Jon sat up straight and only pulled a small smile, slightly mischievous. Foolish girl. "Why don't we try again?" His smile dropped, his eyes locked with Mira, and once again asked, "Don't suppose you know anything about Lilly leaving, don't you?" The words were slow, slightly hypnotic, but above all invoking a tone that should let all leak out for those who want to stay on his good side.

- The Queen of Roses - "I'm guessing you didn't hear me the first time." Mira was shocked, her heart beating ten times as fast as she stood up to The Broker. She spoke more slowly, almost softly with a vicious undertone. "No. I've spoken to her a couple of times, but I have no idea where she is." declared Mira, yet again. She stood her ground, almost wanting to cross her arms as she looked towards The Broker. His pathetic attempts at trying to intimidate her weren't going to work, she had worked too hard and come too far to suddenly start bowing down to men like him, even if Mira knew she was being stupid and reckless in her behaviour.

- The Broker - "Liar!" he spat out before snapping his fingers. The television in the room turned on and switched to a channel that the city doesn't know nor have access to. It was the image of a security camera, capturing two women inside the Citadel talking, but the most noticeable feature was that the cameras themselves have a microphone. Nothing too high tech, but enough to capture the conversation. "Lilly, don't tell me how. But I definitely know we have a traitor here. They've got Luke, you need to head to the docks now otherwise they're going to kill him." "Mira, how do you know that? How can I even trust you?" "Look, if I could, I may just not have told you. I'm sticking my neck out for you here. The traitor, whoever they are, might come for me next. I just know you have to get to the docks, in an hour. Otherwise, other wise they'll-" "Otherwise, they'll what?" "They'll kill him. Acchilleus has him, and is using them for leverage. I don't know how. Just get to the docks, they said you had to come alone. But that's a stupid idea. They're probably going to try and take you too before having The Broker either let you die or give up The Citadel. We both know what he'll probably choose. So I have a plan," "What plan?" "Go to the docks, and I'll go to Broker. He'll prepare some Little Mice and Wastelanders, hopefully. Whoever is at the docks, just talk to them and stall them. Then we get Luke and you out," "I know this could go all wrong, but if we don't do anything, your brother will die and it'll send us right into a war with Acchilleus. We both know what happened at the stadium, and we can't have it repeat. We can't be weak, not now. We can't risk that now, okay?" The message repeated, and Broker didn't even need to break eye contact with the little rat within his walls. The echoes of the conversation was heard in the room, but did not leave it. It pained him, taking in someone because her plight reminded him of Jason, but instead of assisting him she decided to try and poison the well. "Go to the docks, and I'll go to Broker--" "LIAR!" he bellowed out, not breaking eye contact. "Care to explain yourself?"
