Ali rolled her eyes and pressed her palm joining up the remaining holes and giving them a sharp tap to gage the pain on Clyde's face when he did it.
"Now you'll be nice for your new friends." She grinned impishly before tidying up her supplies.
Her face fell as she turned away only for a second. This was hard and she should probably just shut up and suck up the grind. People needed help a call she had only managed to say no to once.

There are events in every life that can change a man. Sights that, when seen, alter perspective entirely, forcing a different path for those who see it. For Jason, this moment came when he watched helplessly as the brother and sister fell from the bridge. His eyes widened in horror and shock as Luke and Lilly disappeared from sight, and even as he ran, blind to the rest of the world, he knew it was too late. Too late to save them, too late to do what he always said he would- defend his friends. When he reached the edge of the bridge, he was almost too afraid to look down at the ice below, to see their broken bodies. But look, he did, and although Luke lived, what he saw down there was even worse than he could ever imagined. Seeing the brother alone, next to his sister's body... Jason couldn't help but think of Kate. What if it was her, or one of the younger siblings down there? As Jason's heart broke, he stood back and turned to see... Acchileus. The man who had done all this. The bastard, the fucking monster who had brought this hell and pain to this place. He killed Lilly, he killed everyone else who died today. Any chance of mercy in Jason's mind melted away as hatred burned inside him. He began to stride forwards, clenching his fists. He would break the invader into a thousand pieces. He would shatter every bone and burst every organ. Maybe then he'd understand the misery he caused.
As Nariko fired an execution shot into the last of the defending mice, the call went up warning of new foes on the bridge. Nariko turned to see the approaching host of warriors, already assaulting the rearguard of the Vipers with a vengeance. Despite herself, Nariko grinned. This was turning into a real fight. "Marauders! Follow me!" She bellowed, leading her host towards the reinforcements, all firing their rifles as they went.
Reaver nodded to Snow with a smirk of confidence, before striding towards the newly arrived enemies. It was time she returned to battle, even if it meant leaving Snow behind again. She'd be fine though, and anyway, too much time had been spent chasing after her today. Time to head out and do her job, and get some lovely fighting done in the meantime. It was exciting to get back out there! No one would stand in her way! Why worry about Snow, a perfectly capable woman, when there were men to murder? ... The twinge of fear and guilt didn't go away though.

CRIMSON | Thomas Drake
Crimson found himself savagely beating the life out of his adversary; Hunter. With each swing he felt more and more rage intensify as Hunter was forced to the ground, though as - on instinct - Crimson drew his right pistol to execute his rival at point blanc range something hit him from left field. Flinching at the very last moment, Crimson threw his face to the right, away from the jet of water that shot towards him at high-velocity, but it wasn't enough to evade it. With the immediate shock of the attack Crimson clenched his hand around the pistol. The gun went off, though nowhere near its mark as Crimson fell to the right onto the ground where he held himself off the concrete with his off-hand. Dropping the gun at his feet, he cradled his face with his now free hand as it seared in pain from the extreme cold of the blast. Frostbite seemed to envelop the left side of his face, leaving him with horrific freeze burns as he bellowed in pain. Though in the corner of his eye, trapped from moving by the immense pain - Crimson watched the next events play out. The water user - whom had presumably been the one to intervene - rushed over to Hunter, mothering him as she raised him from the ground. They mumbled to each other an exchange that Crimson missed due to the ringing in his ears, but soon after Hunter cried in horror as - just when the figure entered Crimson's field of vision - the mighty Acchilleus launched a single attack that struck the water user square in the back and threw both of their enemies off of the bridge. Acchilleus didn't seem to acknowledge Crimson lying there in agony, and as Crimson's cries grew to a wimper he lifted himself off of the ground as Acchilleus seemed to leave. He picked up the gun, checking its condition as he stroked the now jagged, burned skin around his eye. As the ringing ceased Crimson found himself once again in a war zone; bullets roaring overhead and a multitude of abilities ravaging poor grunts. It was then that he noticed the red flare as a new influx of Citadel allies came charging from the inner gates, lead by none other than the too-stubborn-to-die Pursuer and the witch Claudia Kramer. Crimson coughed, his rage for the Hunter fading away with the satisfaction that both of his new enemies; him and the water user, had fallen to their deaths on the thick ice. He drew his pistols, psyching himself up to begin slaughtering these new combatants when something struck him. Though before engaging he of course took the precaution of checking his flank, glancing behind him quickly to only happen upon the minimal remaining mice and their few comrades, though among these few was a boy out in the open. Pale skin, white hair, blue clothes. It was him. It was Felix Norwood; Sno- Lorraine's little brother whom Crimson had attempted to save months ago, whom he had implanted a tracking chip in in chase The Broker got a hold of the kid once again. And here the kid was, fighting for his captor; his torturer's ideologies and life. Damn.Crimson looked back to Snow who was slumped against the barrier, clearly occupied as she strategised with the green-eyed wonder, and then looked back to Felix. Did she even know he was here, and fighting for Kramer? That was when his heart sank. Quickly the firefight began as the kid ducked behind minimal cover while rifle fire tore his comrades apart. But this was different; someone was aiming for him. This was some kid; Snow's baby brother, not some disposable merc. Crimson was sick and tired of children getting wrapped up in the wars of men; he'd already lost his big brother and his two baby sisters and he wasn't going to let Snow have to go through the same thing, no matter what she had to think about him. He loved her. "Stop!" Crimson exclaimed with fiery rage and he turned his guns to the man a distance adjacent to him, going wide-eyed upon realising it was none other than Acchilleus' bitch; The Viper, Rick. He kept shouting "Stop!", "Get off of him!", "No!", but the roars of battle simply eclipsed any attempt of communication. Time was running out, Rick's gunfire tearing apart the cover the boy took shelter behind. Action need to be taken. This time... it was necessary. Acchilleus would hate him for this but he had to anything. Anything. "I said... STOP!" Crimson cried as he emptied two rounds into Rick, one into his shoulder and the other at his weapon to disarm him.

- ACCHILLEUS -
Acchilleus felt the battle reach a level of intensity that he never thought would be possible. Flames flickered across the battlefield as bullets made their way over, shooting the Vipers down who tried to confront the sudden clusters of enemies that had appeared, he couldn't handle himself. After he watched, no, caused the deaths of two people, he knew that it was coming. Luke and Lilly Jones had been a pestering annoyance since the very first day that he had started his plan, from rebuilding the Vipers to establishing The Safe Zone, he couldn't get his clutch on them, well, until now. He watched them fall, smashed by the boulder he threw towards them. And though he felt some reservation of guilt within him, he felt almost relieved, as if a burden had been pulled away from him. The two made their choice and the two had to die, they were on the wrong side and after all they had done, what he heard them do to Rick and The Vipers, they were no better. Simply slaughterers who could not be saved.
He could feel it, the armies chipping away at his own, men on both sides dropping like flies, as bullets whizzed by. It was only when he heard the yells of Rick, that he turned around, possibly fearing the worst. Yet what he saw, absolutely aggravated him, his blood boiling under his ice cold skin. Rick was disarmed, a bullet through the hand as another sent the to the ground, kneeling behind a rock wall as another smashed itself into his shoulder. Acchilleus glanced towards the shooter and was surprised to see that it was none other than the man who had warned him about all of this, who had given him perfect reason to believe the corruption of the High Chancellor. Now, it seemed as if they had turned traitor.
Before he could even attempt to summon anything, he was surprised to see more bullets ring out from Rick, a pistol clutched in one non-bloody hand as he shot at the traitor. Acchilleus quickly ducked behind a rock wall as bullets came nearby him from the Little Mice, keeping an eye on Rick.

THE QUEEN OF HEARTS | Alice Drake Alice launched herself into the onslaught of enemies that had just entered the battlefield, making of whom seemed to be medieval-esque warriors, wielding longswords and axes. Nice, she'd enjoy this.
CRIMSON | Thomas Drake Crimson furrowed his brow and kept his back straight as he continued fire, moving closer and closer to Rick who now returned fire, not even bothering to take cover but rather dodging bullets as they came using his genius-level detective skills to predict his next shots. It was like a Space Invaders, where Rick shot where Crimson was, not where he was going to be. He threw himself to one side, emptying a magazine of each gun in Rick's direction as he combat rolled finally into a single wall of cover. Quickly he emerged, firing only a few more shots of suppressive fire to dazzle the Viper as he moved into melee range. One jab with the gun of the gun to Rick's nose, one elbow to his ribs, one sweeping kick to ground him and one swift movement of the thumb as he cocked the pistol. "I'm sorry," he said, irony spilling out like blood as he lacked any hint of remorse.

- ACCHILLEUS -
Acchilleus couldn't take this anymore, he had been wary of getting shot the moment his head emerged out of cover but as he saw Crimson beating Rick and even having the gall to pull the safety, ready to end him then and there, he knew something would have to be done.
“You traitorous son of a bitch!” cried Acchilleus as several smaller rocks flung themselves at the traitor, he only moved closer. The rocks weren't like the boulders he had been using before, the boulders that could knock two people off the bridge and make their broken bodies crushed on the ice below. Instead, these rocks were jagged, ready to cut into the man himself as he didn't care about the bullets, the Vipers that continued to drop due to the armies that were fast approaching. He couldn't deal with this treachery and right now, he was going to end it, one way or another.

- JONATHAN KRAMER - The four of them held on, fuelled by pure determination and adrenaline. The influx of awake and energetic little mice meant that the back was sealed off and the fates were determined. He just needed to hold them off, and thanks to some help the mice only got scratches and grazing from Nariko's efforts. Then he saw her. Jade had entered the fray. And someone took notice and aimed their weapon at her. "JADE!" he shouted, hoping she would take some action.
- ANDRAS MORGAN - The blood was getting everywhere, on his old equipment to his new one, the hulking man did what he was asked ever so kindly to do, security. It made sense, the High Chancellor's cousin had helped him find a life for himself and while he has reservations on said Chancellor, the tales he was told when the sister rushed in to see Benedict convinced him to take up the role. The guilt tried to penetrate his mind, but the stories gave him more context. It wasn't black or white, it wasn't blindly following orders, it was doing what was right no matter what side you were on. The Vipers needed to be extinguished, and with one slam of his oversized shield about 4 of the 8 receivers fell over the edge and into the depths below. The back line was digging in extremely efficiently, and soon it will extinguish these creatures. The downpour of rain battered the scar he received earlier, but it was nothing compared to the sheer anger and shock he felt when he saw them. The Ravagers were still alive.
- CLAUDIA KRAMER - Jumped off the wall to smack a viper in the head, he fell like a rock as another one was added to the pile. The sadness sunken into her had in some way gave her the motivation, because those responsible needed to leave one way or the other. Their reputations were ruined, and now Claudia had to finish the job.
She had a list in her mind, a nice list.
- Snowflake, the one who showed her the dark reality. - Nariko, for taking off her arm - Reaver, for crimes against humanity - Crimson, the hypocrite whom could've ended the Ravager threat - Acchilleus, the root of the weed.
One by one she would take care of that list, even if the torrential rain made things much darker and much heavier, in addition to making it a little more difficult to see.
She saw Jade, and was about to call her about before she saw a viper stand to take a shot. Her eyes widened before...
Pop.
Brains splattered, bullet between the eyes, and the viper fell as soon as they stood up. Claudia quickly looked around to see who fired the shot, but she saw no one, not the mice, not the Wastelander remnants, so one.
I use to try and come up with bedtime stories to send to the little one several years ago. It was nice, it gave you some sort of sense creative freedom from the slight monotony of work. You could come up with wacky adventures about pirates on the moon or aliens who wanted to get some perfume, but in regards to if it was actually read was up to their parents, it was quite relaxing in retrospect. Time flies when your having fun, and simply tapping into what you can take luxury in can made the day go faster if you needed it to.
I'd like to go back to that one day, if I get the opportunity.
Cooper reloaded his silenced rifle, and continued watching Jade and the battle from the distance.
"Hey...hey sleepy head wake up. The war can't be won without you, you know. And we both know you always get up after a beating like that.
So...wake up dummy!"

CRIMSON | Thomas Drake "You traitorous son of a bitch!" Damn. He knew he wouldn't have long until the big man noticed. Crimson glanced up, throwing himself backwards as the limestone stalactites soared towards him. Luckily he wasn't impaled though the force knocked Crimson to a crouching position and tore open the shoulder pad of his armoured undershirt. "Oh fuck you," he growled, massaging his cut shoulder, "No-one here needs you to get what they want! I don't need you to make sure that Kramer's dead!" Off-beat Crimson flicked his wrists and released his concealed hatchets, attached to his gauntlets via cord, and in the same instance launched into an attack, hacking at the rock-throwing warlord.

- ACCHILLEUS -
Acchilleus' eyes widened as he saw the weaponry spring out, he tried ducking back, a rock wall quickly sprang up, but not before one of the hatchets cut into Acchilleus' own shoulder, scraping at his bullet wound from earlier causing him to grunt with pain. The rain only made things worse, the cold concrete now slippery as thunder reigned overhead. He glared at the man, at his declaration that he wouldn't need him in order to have Kramer dead and wanted to show him that he was dead wrong. Acchilleus launched into his own assault as he sprang out from the rock wall, quickly raising the ground both of them were on until it was elevated slightly, a large but short pillar that had both of them, if not barely.
But he knew this would only make them easier targets and despite their combat, the side of Kramer would side want them both dead. Acchilleus quickly controlled the pillar so it was slanted on Crimson's side, jumping off himself in order to avoid falling down with the man. He only barely made it to the ground without slipping and falling himself as he skidded to a halt and awaited to see what his ally turned enemy would try and pull on him next.

Athena listened to her communications device for a moment and nodded, looking back at the two who stood before her, "Alright, the Warden's fine, but I suppose we aren't in any position to deny help. He's at the main Tower outpost at the end of the block, can't miss it."
Pathfinder heard Starlass and looked closely at the battlefield, that asshole who had tried invading East City was down there. He suppressed his anger and annoyance before turning to Starlass, "I'm in if you need me. What's your plan?"

- Jade Blythe - It all ended in the blink of an eye. Jade watched in shock as the viper collapsed in front of her and turned her head to figure out where the shot had come from. There was no way to tell who’d fired, but right now that didn’t matter; she had to press on through the masses to find the one who’d called out her name. She stepped over the viper’s dead body, acutely aware of her surroundings, and dodged bullets until she eventually caught glimpse of the man who she would rather not see standing in the middle of this battle. With light, almost floating skipping steps she ran towards Jonathan Kramer as she contemplated her next action, eyes glaringly red and soaked to the bone. Her surroundings didn’t matter and the world faded to a blur as she leapt, past fighters, murderers and civilians on the bridge. All she wanted to do now was give Jonathan Kramer a right slap across his face, just like two months ago.

CRIMSON | Thomas Drake Quickly the ground beneath Crimson and Acchilleus became uneven as he crashed into the sky. Acchilleus leapt off the second the platform of concrete began to rise - clearly his work - and as such moved out of sight. Immediately after, Crimson began running up the slant of the quickly rising, yet crumbling, column, leaping as he reached the end to bring down his axes harshly on his foe who stood stationary, clearly awaiting his punishment.

Acchilleus couldn't brace himself for the impact as he watched the traitor come down towards him, axes in their hand which cut deep and harsh at his shoulders, barely able to stop them from possibly taking off both his limbs as he stumbled back and quickly created a thin stone of earth which jutted from the ground, launching towards the man. He wasn't going to lose this fight, and he knew that the only result he had in mind was to see the traitor dead. His mind wild with the temptation to win this battle, at whatever cost.

CRIMSON | Thomas Drake "Damn." Crimson grunted, annoyed at how frequently his foe would stumble away whenever he got close. Soon after, Acchilleus' stone projectile came hurtling towards himself with great force. 'Where does this force even come from?' Crimson asked himself in annoyance and mockery. Unable to dodge it just after levering his axes out of Acchilleus' flesh, Crimson was struck clean in the middle of his chest, the rock crumbling as he wretched backwards, likely having broken a rib or two. Sick and tired of Acchilleus' cat-and-mouse combat Crimson clamped the twin axes - sheathing their blades - to his chestplate as he retrieved his right-hand pistol. Slowly walking towards his enemy he emptied the clip in Acchilleus' direction.
The Storm
23rd November 2056 Thunder crackled and roared as lightning broke up the repeated skyline of blackness and torrential rain upon the Scarlet City skyscrapers. Water flooded down the streets into the drains and families found themselves cooped up indoors, taking shelter from the storm in the warmth of their hearths. Elsewhere, the wardens of Scarlet City Prison and it's neighbour; The Rosewood Institute for the Criminally Insane experienced some form of shellshock from being bunkered up in the cold, drab, metallic walls of their seemingly secure units. Many would wander up and down the halls, flinching at the piercing brightness of lightning bolts and the apocalyptic rumbling of storm's thunder. It was safe to say - especially with the addition of pints of coffee across an endless day at work - they were on edge.

Acchilleus felt bullets scrape at his shoulder as he ducked behind the rock wall besides him. It was too late to deal with another bullet that pierced at his left shoulder as he went behind his cover, the bullet tearing through his flesh as he grunted in pain, trying to focus on his foe. He was getting fed up, anger only growing, with how this was playing out. The traitor showing new determination to get rid of him and wasn't faltering at any rate. There was only one thing he could do. He watched half the cover get sliced, as he pushed forward watching half the rock wall launch itself at the foe, as he ducked down hoping, trying to use what was left of his cover.
