As the swords floated through her, Shade watched the paper box descend from the sky with a bemusement that overcame the fear and concern she had been suffering. Someone inside was shouting... Quite the little argument, actually. "Get a load of that nonsense!" She commented, talking to the woman waving the swords though her. "Sounds almost ridiculous as you look, waving your little toy around!"

Sienna paused but did not turn.
"I'm in constant pain. I can't tell some days whether there was ever a time when my bones did not strain to support me. I still get up, I talk with you guys, we plan heists, drink till the sun comes up. Every single day I strain to get up. That takes nearly everything from me.
"I give you so much, give you my time which is all i have to spend. That is my care for you."
She reached her hand to the paper again the outside air hitting her. Sienna breathed deep.
"But I will not give you my free will. I will not give you my death or my damage. Its mine. All fucking mine. No one is fucking saving me, I don't want saving, I don't need it."
She glanced over her shoulder. Her voice had held level throughout, a soft lull but now she spat the words at him.
"Now piss off. You don't need to watch."

SKYLARK Aderyn felt herself lose control of her own body as Venator identified the man she was looking for. She took the appropriate amount of steps forward to the ledge of the roof, staring intently at the man she had longed to punish for so long. The next few seconds were a blur. Returning to the Viper, she released the grip created by the archer's projectile, then carried him back to the edge of the roof. She waited for the fight between the Harvester and the Police Chief to naturally progress a few yards southward, and then dropped the live body to the ground beside the hero-killer, impacting with a blood-curdling sound. "Johnny. Get here. Now." KINETIC WARDEN
Now among the battling horde, the Warden remained focused. The Tower operatives would be doing their job: he now had to do his. He used his teleportation ability to wade through the masses, striking his quarterstaff as any mercenary or identified 'Viper' wherever he could. The men and women who made up the bulk of the armies were strong, but not his immediate concern. After meandering his way through, the Warden came across a seemingly super-powered individual fighting with someone he was very familiar with, at least from reports from that night. He tightened the grip on his quarterstaff, and blinked behind the infamous Nariko as she made her attack. He drove his metallic staff horizontally, hoping to connect with the ribs of the assassin, without saying a word. NEMESIS Following a couple of side-streets, and back alleys now totally abandoned, Elizabeth managed to guide Apollo to the outskirts of the Citadel. The sound became increasingly loud, resulting in a cacophony of battle noises, along with the grey-hued visual of war. She had never seen anything like it, and prayed she would never have to. Even as Nemesis the sheer swathe of imminent death made her feel a little smaller. She looked over to Apollo, clearing her expression of any anxiety she may have had. Part of this was to look strong for her own sake, but also for Apollo's. It was clear he had never done this before, and someone who clearly had immense power needed all the focus he could get. "Ready?"

- JONATHAN KRAMER - He moved his riot shield in position and it partially blocked her attack. The attack was strong, but it had a predictable wind-up, enough for him to get the riot shield in position, but not enough to completely save him from damage. There was a cut on one of the platings on his clothes, exposing some of the raw armour underneath. He grabbed hold of a piece of shrapnel with his other arm, and aimed to slash near the eyes. He noticed some, a cut. "Got the cut in battle Reaver? I thought you were untouchable!"

Reaver didn't even respond to the taunt. She was done talking to the Broker, and he would soon be done talking entirely. His swing was avoided with a lean of her head, and in response she swung her blade up into the arm as it reached the peak of its swing. With her other hand, she drew the revolver from its holster, and began to fire powerful rounds whenever a gap in his defenses appeared. She was done taking his shit.
Nariko grunted as a man appeared from nowhere, striking her in the ribs and bruising her. The armour took the worst of it, but it was still an uncomfortable impact. Well, so much for an honorable fight. It was back to brawling. Going with the momentum of the strike, she span with her blade outstretched, a chest-high sweep that would either force a retreat or simply gut her new attacker. Fending off two attackers at once would be tricky, but she had faced worse odds. And anyway, if these two didn't want to fight fair, there was nothing to stop her from calling a few Marauders over to tip the scales back.
"Guess we're going in, then." Venator muttered to herself, before dropping off the wall. Mid-fall, she blinked to the top of the wall, ending the momentum and allowing her to hit the floor safely. From there, she blinked onto the bridge, another blink took her past the line of shields, and another took her to the harvester's field of view. Keeping Skylark in sight in case she would need help, she began to shoot any Viper that tried to get close, keeping the revenge-driven attack a private affair.

"I'm not pissing off you idiot. You never listen, you're not listening even when I'm shouting at you. Your death isn't something that you should freely wave about, If you die then you'll rip me and Alice in two, is that what you want? I've offered to heal you, I've offered to fix your mental state but you keep refusing, you keep saying no. You don't want help. You're a selfish, idiotic woman who won't listen to anyone." His voice was steady now, the rage was still there but he'd reigned it in, "I want to help you because I love you." The words left his mouth faster than he could stop them.

"You don't fucking love me." Sienna snapped, only just stopping her hand from coming back to slap him. "You want to own me."
She ripped then at the paper, like it was the suffocation she felt from the way he tried to bundle her up. She was not a china doll to be put on the mantelpiece. She was a broken and scarred woman and she could not, would not deal with this.
"I may be broken but I sure as hell don't want to be fixed." She whispered the words to herself as she stumbled back out into the battle. The snow a welcome chill against her skin.

Fire ran through Oren's veins, "I don't love you? Is that right? Then what is this pain in my chest! What is the pain that you cause me every time you don't accept my help? Why do I feel pain? Am I just some useless trash to you? I don't want to fucking own you; I want to help you. But you know what, fuck you, fuck you. You don't care about me; you don't care about anything to do with Alice or me if you fucking cared then you'd run away from this battle." All of the paper fell away. Oren turned to Alice, "Alice, get Sienna out of here, dead or alive; I don't give a fuck anymore." His chest felt hollow; he felt empty; it was as if Sienna just ripped him apart. Getting onto his chair Oren flew off.
Midway into the sky he clutched his chest, tears streaking down his face. Pain. The pain was the only emotion he felt right now, the feeling of something trying to claw its way out. High above, where no one could hear him he howled and cried. On his chair, he curled into a ball and wept. Without him doing so the chair carried him far away from battle, onto a nearby building.

- INDRAN - Ajay went back to the lobby, where the receptionist was staring at something behind him. He turned around, and looked at a TV screen. It was a news report, something about a battle at The Citadel, and that they couldn't get any footage at the moment due to heavy snow. He had heard of that place, and walked by it a few times, but never any closer. He decided to head there in case people needed help. He quickly said thanks, and headed back outside. Still snowing. He looked around, vaguely knowing his surroundings. He knew which way to go mostly because he knew that the Citadel was right next to the water. He headed towards it, not sure how long it might take for him to walk there. "I really need to get a motorcycle or something.." He looked to the street- No taxis out right now. However, he did see a subway entrance, which he quickly ran over to.
He went down the stairs, into almost empty subway station. It was odd for a place like this to be so empty. He took his wallet out, quickly paying for a ticket, and putting his wallet away. He waited for a bit before the train came, which he stepped onto once it did. He rode the subway for a bit, before being dropped off near the Citadel. He knew where to go from here.He stepped out of the subway station, and back into the snow, heading to the Citadel. He saw a few houses as he walked to the Citadel, as well as few tents, ambulances, crowds, and other random civilians. He walked to the tents, not really sure who was in charge around here.

- RAVEN -
Lilly scrambled up, quickly as she could as she saw her foe spit blood onto the floor before they launched into their next vicious tirade. She continued panting, her injuries only getting worse as half her face felt number, dulling the pain somewhat as she was sure it was swollen slightly, a bruise appearing on the side of her head as she struggled to regain her balance. She strode back, minding the flames that appeared around the bridge, she could see the look in her foe’s eyes. That kind of determination hadn’t been seen for many nights and she knew that she had the intent to do nothing more than to kill.
She tightened her jaw, raising her katana in both hands in the firmest grip that was possible and the least painless as she saw them charge toward her. Lilly froze the water beneath to ice as she jumped back, hoping the slippery ground would cause her opponent to fall. The bigger they were, the harder they would fall and Lilly hoped they would fall soon enough. The bullets continued to whizz by as she found herself resting behind one of the rocky walls, thankfully stopping any bullets coming her way for now. But she wouldn’t be able to rely on her luck forever. She readied herself to parry. Yet, she was surprised as she suddenly saw an imposing figure strike at her foe, somewhat thankful she still kept her focus on the battle, wondering how this could play out.

>> SONAR << Johnny held his eyes shut tight, his hands still pressed against the pave of the Citadel's courtyard. He could hear every sound of the chaos beyond the gate, clashing together in a melting pot of noise. He sighed. The sound of his breath stood out among it all. Then another sound. A shrill whistle from down the bridge. Finally, the sound of a familiar voice, high in the sky. "Johnny, get here. Now."These individual noises stood out, and Johnny focused on their sources. Slowly, the other sounds of the battle faded away, returning one by one as he turned his focus to their home directions. He opened his eyes. The air itself greeted him, swaying gently, rippling with every noise, every movement. The combination of sound and action, the particles swaying to and fro, Johnny felt it all. He was hyper-aware of whatever portion of the fight he chose to pay attention to. This is my power. This is Sonar. He ran forward to enter the melee, the air turning to a haze of vapour in his wake.

KINETIC WARDEN The Warden was pleased with his opening hit, though it was a short lived advantage as Nariko seized the momentum of the strike for herself. A part of him wasn't surprised: reports had indicated of the mercenary captain's skill, further complimented by her sheer experience. As such, the Warden came to the quick conclusion that it would be safe to play to the most notable strength he had over her, his powers. Having expended much of his ability in the travel to the bridge, and then to the fight, all he could manage was a short blink back. It was comparable to a dodge, as the blade still connected with the thick leather his chest-piece, causing a nasty looking gash that dripped with blood. His eyebrows narrowed, defining his mask as he shot a cold glare to Nariko. He lifted his staff up in a more defensive position (he knew he could not prevail by brute force) and made more of a distance between the two, sidestepping around her. Eyes still locked, he growled staunchly, "Did you all think you could bunny-hop onto a bad situation and make it worse? Think again." SKYLARK Watching Venator engage their target, Aderyn steeled herself for what she believed to be the end. She powerfully extended her wings, and raced to a position a few inches above the ground. The Harvester was only a few yards in front, fighting the chief, and Sonar was en route. Remembering some old moves, she sped forward, grabbing Vipers in her path, using them as a battering ram against the foe as she flew dangerously close; curving up into the air as she had done before.

- JONATHAN KRAMER - The blade hit a padded area of his arm, not doing any real damage but violently swung his arm back. Still attacked, no broken bones, but the already seething pain that was there took a turn for the worse. He yelled for about a second before Reaver fired some shots. They all hit the riot shield as Jon brought it up in what felt like muscle memory, but the last one went through the corner of the material. It was chipped, and it didn't harm him, but it reminded him that even these walls have their limit. He saw the line get pushed back step by step, in an attempt to limit the push of the plague. It was a slow progression, but the numbers were dwindling. Three laid dead on the floor while one was electrocuted to death/ How many does that make now, twenty four? Twenty three? He had lost count, but he had to focus on Reaver. "Did someone best you in combat Reaver? Are you now in third place behind the most powerful people you've met?"

"No, dickhead, I cut myself shaving." Reaver rolled her eyes. This was pathetic, even for Kramer. He was projecting his ego- she didn't see herself as the best warrior, unlike he did himself as a statesman. She knew she was damn good, but there were always better. The Marshal, for example. "You wouldn't know about that, seeing as you're acting like a twelve year old." Reaver danced to the side, using her immensely greater agility to get around his shield. Thrusting the sword under his guard, she cut towards his shield arm, attempting to shatter his block. She had speed and skill over him in enormous measure- this was going to be a short fight.
"Just a job, ojiisan." Nariko smirked, assuming a defensive stance, waiting for either of her assailants to make a move against her. Two-on-one meant she couldn't overextend herself by going all out against one enemy. "Acchileus has money, and I'm a mercenary. Don't take it personally, alright? I wouldn't want to upset such a venerable justice-doer." She knew this man, albeit in passing, from her pre-mission research. Kinetic Warden, exiled hero recently returned to the city. He was old but he had a reputation as a man to be respected in battle. She would have to watch him carefully- old heroes were canny bastards.

- JONATHAN KRAMER - "It's best to relish in our childhood personalities." Reaver made her attack and it clashed with his arm, but the lack of damage on both the plating and the flesh itself allowed him to act. He squeezed his arm to try and force Reaver's into a small trap, before taking a stab at her hand.
