NEMESIS After she had discretely changed, Elizabeth marched to the door. She was utterly focused on the moment: the imminent danger, as well the vow she swore to herself and the city to protect it in any way she could. She extended her gloved arm out, and was almost instantly stopped by a limb of Apollo's. His rigid reaction caused her brows to furrow instinctively, though when she considered what he meant, they relaxed. Intrigue instantly flooded its way into her mind. She had never worked with a vigilante before, rather she was more accustomed to fighting them. She smirked, still looking to the door. She began to speak, more focused, more commanding than she had been before. It was clear the lawyer was gone, and Nemesis had come to the fore. "We better get moving then," now uninterrupted, Elizabeth opened the door whilst asserting, "If this is truly all happening at the Citadel, I know a shortcut there; we'll be there soon." SKYLARK A nearby skyscraper gave Aderyn the opportunity to loop around to the direction of the Citadel undisturbed. The tight curve and high altitude clearly shook her prisoner, as she began to feel their grip tense. At first she passed it off for some feeble retaliation, but she quickly judged it was a desperate cling to the one thing keeping the Viper from dropping to his doom. She quickly landed on the Citadel roof where she had embarked from minutes ago. She had run through this scenario a million times, as well as many others where the Harvester was involved. She stopped Venator a few steps nearby, unloading her arrows. Whether the shots were a presentation of precision force, or a display of frantically firing into the fray, she could not tell. Aderyn decided it would be best to refrain from asking, or making any noise. Johnny couldn't know what she planned to follow. The Viper would have began to call for help upon landing, if Aderyn had not placed her hand over the individual's mouth, in attempts to muffle any noise that might alert her sound sensitive friend. She leant him against a vent opening, and shot a piercing glare at Venator to get her attention. She needed an arrow, just one, to get this guy to talk.

Monica got up and faced the armed killer. Her eyes squinted at the feminine form, but the voice clearly displayed that it was a male. She cracked her knuckles, dropping her gun and pulling out a combat knife from her boot. She prepared herself in a stance, "Okay then fucker, You can try and spill my guts. I'd like to see you on the other end of a prison cell." She couldn't hit back with something more substantial if she knew who the guy was but, in truth, she had no idea who she was facing.

Klondike Blaise Verne was walking near the Citadel when he began hearing gunfire. He swore and began walking faster towards the Citadel. He took his flat cap off and put it into his bag. Under his coat was his Tower uniform, which Lazarus and Athena had made to help support his transforming powers. He put his earpiece in, and ducked into the cover of a building. He joined into the Tower's comms and listened to the Warden's announcement before responding, "This is Klondike, I'm in a building about half a block away. They got fire-lady here, so I can't do anything until you all get here." He reached into his bag and pulled out the stun gun Hephaestus Industries had made. They had increased the power on all operatives' guns because they were dealing with superhumans. A shot from it would knock somebody out for...a while. Klondike got a few people off the street and into the building he was hiding in, but would stay put for now. Lazarus and Athena Dominic and Sarah Elliot got into one of the larger trucks in the Tower garage, it had been designed specifically for mobile command for the Tower. They would ride in a convoy, among the medical and security vehicals the Tower was sending out. Lazarus responded right after Klondike's transmission, "This is Lazarus. No worries about the hospitals Sanator, Tower Medical and Tower Security are en-route." Sarah was looking over a map on a computer monitor in the back of the truck as it began speeding its way over to an area near the Citadel. She marked a red cross on it, "Athena here. We're setting up a couple blocks from the Citadel, hopefully security will be able to keep anything hostile away." She paused as Tower reception sent in Sanator's request, "And no worries Sanator, I'll send one of our bikes to you, just head out the main doors." Sarah pulled out a tablet and sent one of Hephaestus Industries' prototypes from the Tower garage to the main entrance. AI would see that it made its way there safely and quickly."

Ali turned briefly. She was thankful someone was responding but a hard edge eased into her voice.
"I still want the ambulances on standby. I don't care how many units this building has, if there is a fight going on with a lot of carnage you won't be able to deal with it all, and even if you could it's never nice to be shown up by a private agency. Call them."
She paused then a friendly expression on her face, as she listened to the comms before responding.
"Thank you for the work."
With that she headed out the door to grab a bike ride to hell.
--
Sienna now that she had Alice was starting to chafe.
"We need to go hurt them. Can we move towards them? Please?" Her words were a little slurred with excitement. The asking permission a portion of her brain fighting against a childish need to run into the mess just ahead.
Tear gas did not scare her, she often woke in the middle of the night lungs and skin burning with intense pain as the acid that was her blood seemed to spike with the same pain from being strapped in with the chemicals drip dripping into her arm.
She began to twitch feet dancing towards the action. She was not in a planning mood. Her only plan was to hit and hurt.

-Joltz- while the Ravagers and most of the other forces on Acchillues side where waiting for the Tear gas to disapear and the Citadel to finish what ever it was doing Joltz hooked both of the Sickles and started to skip with them, after a few failed attempts to do one loop she sprang up pointing her finger in the air "I have the best idea EVER!!" she shouted, getting to a clearer space she started to skip with them once more and actually started to make full rotation with the chain once she got a rytheme going she started to send a surge of electricity through the chain, creating a similar humming sound it did when she swung them around back in the armory she said "hey...check it out, i could stop bullets with this" as her voice sounded echoey as she spoke ------------------------------------------ -Eclipse- the heavy snow caused Eclipse to come out of the shadows for a moment to see what was around, as he looked he saw the Citadel covered in darkness felling curious and wanting to cause even more mayhem that was happening he climbed back into the shadows and headed to wards the Citadel

- INDRAN - He watched Long escape. He figured that it might be best to leave through the same route, but first he decided that he should thank the knight. He looked at him. "Hey uh.. Thanks- for everything." He said, not really sure what else to say afterwards. "My name is.." He thought of what his parents had called him when he was little- What was it.. Indran? All he remembered was that they wouldn't call him Indra because they would literally be calling him the God of lightning. "Indran. My name is Indran." He said after a moment. "Nice to meet you.."

- JONATHAN KRAMER - The chaos was unfolding as far as he was aware. He was blind, he didn't know his disadvantages, he just knew what he had to do. He needed to defend the inner gate until the power came back on, or, hopefully, wait until reinforcements in some way would arrive. He saw the mice gather in the courtyard, armed up and suited for battle. "Brothers and sisters!" he called out, gaining their attention. "Outside those walls are looters, murderers, and violent opportunists. Those men filled mass graves and spilled Scarlet City with the blood of their victims." He sprung out his baton with unbridled force. "You want their victims blood spilling the streets of Heartania?" "NO!" they chanted. "Good, because by the time the sun rises, this Citadel will stand, and Acchilleus will fall!" It was at this moment he saw someone in the crowd of brave men and women, one he recognised distinctly. The wings showed all. He pointed him out, Ripley. "What are you doing?"

Underneath the shattered glass of the once whole case, upon the raised platform in Heartania Museum, a faint golden gleam flickered like the rays of the rising sun. Whether it was noticed or not was of no importance, for the glint itself served no purpose but to measure the passing of time. The pendant laid there still, unchanging, dormant, and waiting for the right moment to arrive. {Spoiler}You'll get a proper post in the next couple of days, but rn everything is too hectic xP Enjoy this teaser in the meantime :3

Glancing back to find Aderyn giving her a pointed look, Venator paused in her volley to look at her the criminal she had caught. It was a bad day to be a piece of shit scumbag, clearly. Casually, in a move that emphasised her confidence and power, she fired an arrow throw the sleeve of his jacket, pinning his wrist to the wall. The arrow quivered for a second, scant millimeters away from vulnerable flesh. "Cooperate." She growled, before returning to her her barrage.
Jason grinned, although it wasn't an expression that carried much confidence. "Yeah, lets show 'em what we're made of." He responded, trying to buy into his own fake confidence. Shade, standing by him, remained resolutely silent, her arms shifting into wicked blades. "You're gonna see me without bullets in me this time, so get ready for a show!" Jason thought back to his last encounter with Sonar, in the Stadium. He hoped this wouldn't be quite as shit as that had been.
Reaver impatiently tapped her foot, smirking as Joltz made a show of her great power and greater enthusiasm. As much as Reaver was growing to love being in control of her surroundings, having the bouncy little psycho around had caused some amusing chaos and carnage. Maybe she wasn't the most... Sensible ally, but she gave some fun the Ravagers needed. Inferno was both terrifying and strangely caring, especially over Snow... A feeling Reaver could understand. The flame hurling woman was awesome to behold in battle, but emanated danger. Getting too close, no matter your state of relations with her, seemed infinitely risky. And then, Snow... Who seemed uncharacteristically dour at the moment. It was strange... She had been so upbeat earlier, until she had gone off to find the toilet. Reaver didn't want to consider what she could've found there to upset her so. "You alright?" She asked, approaching her companion slowly. Frankly, this kind of concern should be beneath her. But for Snow, she'd allow it of herself. "Not getting pre-massacare nerves, are we? We're getting Felix back today, don't worry."

Ripley stared up at the High Chancellor, his eyes a mix of Logic and Emotion. "What am I doing?" He repeated the question back to the High Chancellor, "Sir, I am doing what I must to protect my home, so I am fighting, no matter what you say." Ripley's words cut the chatter in the crowd like a knife through hot butter.

- JONATHAN KRAMER - He was a boy, just a small boy with an extraordinary condition, one he wished wouldn't march to defend the gates from the demons from hell. He was just a boy, granted with a huge heart and a sense of loyalty to himself, but if he could he wouldn't let him out on the field. He would be marched back to the Vault along with Felix to wait for back up or help. Unfortunately it would be for naught. Ripley knew his way around the Citadel, and even if he was marched back to the Vault he would just find a way back out and defied his order. Ripley was his responsibility, and he make sure of that. He took a deep breath and told the boy, "behind me! Got that?" God, now children are heading into battle, what could possibly make this worse? The sky then blackened, gradually since he left the building and entered the courtyard, and with a loud crack from beyond the sea came the rain. It was something Jon forgot about, despite the repeated warnings and he efforts to prepare the city's flood defences. It would still have arrived regardless, but now everyone had extra weight thanks to the heavy rain. Jon put up with it. "ALRIGHT! WITH ME NOW! OPEN UP!" The inner gates opened, and the army marched through. Not everyone would make it out alive, and that weighed heavilyon Jon, but then again, their sacrifices will keep the city in relative safety, and hopefully end the violent opportunists reign of terror. The thunder cracked again, and Jon marched towards the broken outer gate.

- ACCHILLEUS -
Now we begin.
“Everyone! Get ready!” commanded Acchilleus as the sky waged war on itself, the thunder and lightning striking the sound and sight of everybody nearby. The Vipers yelled their battle cry once more as they launched into the fray, spotting the loyalists to The Citadel and getting ready to duck behind the already pre-made cover. Acchilleus only managed to rise more rocks to let the others hide, yet they were clearly not enough and it was too much to provide cover for everybody. Yet it wasn’t like it mattered, sooner or later, the cover was going to be far beyond anyone’s reach as the forces continued to move in down the bridge. It was only a matter of moments before the sounds of bullets rivalled the thunder, muzzle flashes to combat the lightning and lamp posts.
Rick launched his bullets against the others with almost expert manoeuvring, yet Acchilleus knew it was nothing compared to the forces that opposed them. He only hoped that the superhumans that rallied behind him were ready for battle, as he launched several stones against those still rushing down the bridge, hoping to knock them down and beat their bloodied bodies. He ducked behind a nearby wall as bullets whizzed by, clipping against the edge of the rock, pebbles scattered amongst the ground and turned into dust underneath the boots that waged forward.
It was a bloody mess, the floor being stained with the heavy hitting rain that caused the snow to begin its slumber into water, lightning painted itself against the sky in crooked angles, flashing the two sides in darkness where the light could not reach well. Blood too painted itself against the ground against the broken carcasses of clad-green Vipers, their faces and eyes all looking up at him, from the streets of The Safe Zone now to the deathly ground of the bridge, so close and yet so far. Was it all worth it? He hoped it was.
Cry havoc said he who fought chaos with chaos, and let's slip the dogs of war.

Ripley silently walked behind the High Chancellor. He'd fight no matter what, even if the cost was his life. As soon as the gates opened up Ripley soared into the air. The rain that was beating down slowly returned back to its snowy form, as if the gods couldn't decide what weather they wanted. As his great wings beat the snow around him he stare off at the army. He flew up higher, so high that he'd be nothing but a black dot in the sky. Soaring up ahead he didn't immeadiatly fly down to fight, he'd wait instead, wait and kill anyone who dared to go for Felix.

>> THE HARVESTER << Orlando smiled. He hadn't felt the adrenaline of combat in well over two months. He had absolutely missed it. He'd started to doubt himself. He'd started to think about justice, about whether or not his place in this world was justified. Whether it was worth it to keep walking the path of a monster. Falling back into his element, his doubts faded away in an instant. Of course it was worth it. He was Orlando Briante, the Harvester. Killing things, cutting the edges off of a world that wouldn't admit it needed trimming, that was what he lived for. And it was finally time for him to get back to work. As he came within reach of Officer Johnson, his right arm swung out, Harvest Moon held deftly in a reverse grip. The glistening sickle's blade whistled through the air on a deadly path, aiming straight for the police chief's throat. >> COMPOUND << Edison was already in his car by the time the fight truly broke out. He'd begun to move the instant news of Acchilleus' march had broken. Right now, he was in yet another phone call, hands free as he drove (a little too quickly) out of the city's heart. "Nim, we need to move, now. Get to the Citadel as fast as we can. The civilians - especially Mr. and Mrs. Scott - are our priority." The plan they had already discussed earlier was twofold: Nimbus keeps any unlucky soul caught in the crossfire from bleeding out, while Compound fights through the chaos to extract them. So long as things didn't turn any more pear-shaped than they already were, the two of them would be doing some good in the face of this madness. >> NIMBUS << "You've got it. Heading out now." Evan didn't need Ed to give the instruction, of course. There was only one man in the city capable of keeping the civilians in the melee healthy and well. There was no doubt the casualties were already catastrophic, but so long as he made it before the fight ended, Nimbus would still be saving countless lives. The wind howled past his ears as he rocketed across the skyline, his limited flight speed feeling more excruciatingly slow than ever.

As the gates opened Sienna had come to her decision. She gave Alice a quick hug. It was an odd stilted little hug as she went tip toe to not be in too awkward a position on the taller woman.
"Don't get too close to me i'm going to make a mess." She warned before darting forward.
She skidded and slipped through the free bloody spaces to face the front lines within the mass of the many lives on her own side. She pushed through writhing bodies sneaking her small form forward. In her hand she held a pocket knife, the plastic handle biting into her flesh but not cutting through.
A nasty slash from the Citadel side across her brow let fly droplets blinding them. Sienna smiled as she jumped on their fallen form. Cutting at them with her tiny knife, till their face was a mesh of meat. Her inner drive drove her upwards and forwards. She had to get to the front. The damage she took was dealt back to those who got her blood on their hands. Might as well deal that to an enemy rather than a friend.
The only thing that worried her was the mixture of snow and rain that diluted the flow when it was only a spurt. Still it corroded fast even then.
