- Moon Guardian -
Luna looked at the man named cooper, "If it is simply just to place flowers on your husbands grave then I do not see how that is wrong in some way.". - Angel -
"My home..." She began to think about her home back in the safeguard. "My home is nice. I grew up in a big mansion, with many servants. Being rich, being at my level of richness is extremely lucky. My wealth has taken me here, and I'm happy to be here. My home is massive, with a massive garden and lots of nature. My parents are nice and so are my siblings. We've all been taught to be kind." She smiled at Ali, "I hope it doesn't seem like I'm lording my wealth. I'm lucky of course.". They were getting close to her motorbike. - Caeoimhin Oren Vermillion -
Oren tore open his second can of beer as he stared at the massive hospital. "Hmm, That sounds fun." He commented on it, Breaking in and smashing a bunch of stuff then also stealing it seemed a lot of fun. "Ooh and look, they've got lots of nature around it. Seems like we'll be able to go big on this.".

- The Warlock -
Esteban had followed The Knight to his destination, growing even more cautious with each step he take. As Natalia knew, the young man would follow orders; but since Apex - it would make him uneasy. He tried so desperately hard to understand the armoured man: to try and devise a million possible reasons as to why he was helping the twins. He had to want something. Everyone always did. He almost wanted to punch the man in the face when he led him into the 'evil lair'. It was clear to any rationally thinking individual that The Knight was trying to be accommodating; even kind, but to Esteban it must have been some long-con designed to lull the twins into another chapter of service. He wouldn't fight the cause, but he would have preferred a little honesty. When the time came to finally ask a few questions, Esteban seized his opportunity. "What's with the suits?"

- The Knight -
"What's with the suits?" "What's with the suits? Well..." Blake took a deep breath, "The Knight-1 was designed to amp up my strength, stamina and durability as well as let me carry a few extra toys around; basically it lets a regular human like me fight crime. I designed the Warlock-1 and Rogue-1 as enhancement modes for myself to redivert resources to weaponry or mobility, but when that gas started filling the room... well you needed the suits to protect you; you needed them more than me." Blake sighed. The suits were genetically bonded to them now, it wasn't like he could ask for them back.

- The Warlock -
"So, you're not like those famous superheroes, but you want to be one?" Esteban noted the hint of bluntness in his question. His upbringing instilled a mindset to be quick and efficient in his speech. This suited the twins' time at Apex perfectly, and also was favourable in laying low in Heartania. He wondered if such curtness was inappropriate in this new environment, before shelving the thought; realising the answer would come soon enough.

- The Knight-
Blake laughed, scratching the back of his head nervously, "I did kinda help stop the city from getting nuked... but yeah, pretty much." "But that doesn't mean that you two can't be real heroes." - The Queen of Hearts -
"Vermillion, you never fail to bore me to tears." Alice retorted deadpan, "We've robbed enough banks, but a hospital? That's new." Alice unhooked her swords from the pegs on the wall, attaching the retracted hilts to the segments on the back of her jacket. Walking towards the pair, she spoke "Weapons from drugs?"

- Bloodstream-
"Weapons, More drugs, even hats for pugs. You name it we could liquidize these through a few deals especially the experimental drugs they've been using on terminal illnesses. Pharmaceuticals can go for a bomb more than any drainer cut street meth." Sienna flicked at her shoulder with her free hand briefly as she paused in her tirade. There was a small figure there briefly then gone. "The target would be the pharmacy. I reckon we have three options. Number one, sneak in disguise. Oren would look adorable in high heels and a wig. Number two distraction while one of us goes shopping. Alice slashing up some security should do it or Number three.." Sienna paused as she got to the last finger on her beer hand as she counted down it was all she had to hold it so instead had to hold up another free finger on the other hand. "Smash and grab. Run in hit hard and run out." She raised the beer in her two finger grasp gulping down a victorious swig. - Kay -
Kay listened to the dial tone for almost a minute. Hunter was going to come here and he was panicked. He had known where they were. Had he seen them immobilised? The feeling of being in an irrational position returned. It was unsafe to stay inside these walls but they still needed to be nearby. A quick glance to the Broker's office. Should they go back inside? This all clicked into place as they pressed to disconnect the phone. Pushing the door open they returned into the office space. Smile gone. Phone placed calmly on his desk. There was a few simple questions to ask. "I think I know what to ask now. How long have I been out? Why am I here? Why have I been cut open?" Kay gave a sharp edged smile then, tilted their head to the side to look down at the Broker. "And why should I trust you?" Their voice was icy. - Sanator Hippocratia -
"If I was worried I would expect you to have a go at me for talking about my wealth in family." Ali retorted faux grumpily. "You're allowed to talk about where you come from lass. We're made up of the people we meet in life. For better or for worse." Ali ignored the twitches in her leg, body memory could be so damn melodramatic at times. "Now where is this bike. Please don't say it's that Harley over there."

- The Broker -
The Broker looked at Kay as they returned to his office. 4 now equaled 5, and she was asking a question. Broker was honest, and they would get their answers. "We found you in a horrific condition only 48 hours ago, during the midst of the riots. Obviously something was wrong so we took you to our private doctors here, since the hospital was barely standing in it's rubble. You were laying in some deep mud, and the wounds you sustained were...large, large enough for a substantial amount of filth to flood the body." He leaned back and checked more pieces of information. "Since you didn't reactivate we thought the mud would've jammed your circuitry, so we simply cleaned it out. After that we were out of ideas." He was caught a little aback by their final question, one about trust. It took him some time to think of an answer. "The city needs a neutral body and I am trying my damnedest to keep everything together. I've assisted you since you've woken up, and I've given you worthwhile contacts before." He threw a tablet with some information on it towards Kay. "...and will continue to do so. A friend would like someone good with corporate infiltration. He suspects something is afoot." He cracked a small smile. "And I know he pays well. Downtown, The Village, music's good."

- Hunter & Raven -
"Luke! Luke! Just slow down and wait a minute!" cried Lilly as she rushed after Luke, who had stepped outside The Tower and was walking outside its gates, with Lilly trailing behind. His hands were curled up into fists, as he was walking quickly away from The Tower. He only turned, his eyes widening slightly as Lilly grabbed his shoulder to stop him. "Luke, what about the people we would be risking? At The Tower?" For a moment, Luke's fist seemed to extent back into open hands. "They're already risking themselves by working at The Citadel, and it's better if we can be there to protect them. Please just trust me on this," begged Luke as his hands curled up into fists as he continued walking, slowing down slightly however so that he would let Lilly walk alongside him. He felt like he was torturing her, forcing her on a march through hell. It only made his guilt worse. But right now he had a choice between Kay and Lilly once again, and he wasn't going to let Kay down again, not now. Lilly grabbed Luke again, causing him to stop. "Hey," spoke Lilly softly scanning Luke for a second. "I do trust you, I'm just worried about you. You know that, right?" Luke nodded, causing Lilly to smile weakly. "Okay, let's go." Luke continued to lead the way, his fists still intact but his pace somewhat slower as he continued to speed walk towards The Citadel.

- Kay -
Kay stopped the tablet with a small motion. So two days had passed. They had been taken here that they could not disagree with. This man had ordered them cut open and left alone in the dark, if there were doctors they had fled early on. Would a human patient be treated the same in a coma? No they had been presumed dead at the most at the least unimportant. Just another sheet of paper on the pile. Flooded body? It was possible but it did not quite fit with the fragments littered inside their head. Then again their data had suggested Hunter was in the hospital, in trouble. Kay needed a new source of information to query this input before they took action. There were more questions spooling from his answers than any satisfaction. Kay felt hollow. The trust was not there lost to the same gaps. And now only just woken he rushed to use them for another task. Not an are you okay or a by your please, he hadn't even considered what Kay had been through. The smile on their lips outside softened as their inner thoughts hardened. An imperceptible picture of calm. Their eyes scanned the page taking the information in. They even tapped a smooth nail against the plastic shell giving it a small tink sound. "Mhm I see." Kay turned their gaze once more on the Broker. No questions after their small acknowledgement just a silence to see what his response would be.

- Angel -
Braidy laughed a little bit, giving off a chuckle at Ali. "An Angel on a Harley? That's a bit funny don't you think? Normally it'd be the four horsemen on one of those." She pointed over at the white Triumph Sprint ST ABS with yellowish gold strips across it. She walked over, slipping off a bag that was attached to its side, thankfully no one had decided to steal it. "Ehm, I'm going to have to change quickly, so tell me if anyone comes." Slowly Braidy started to undress. It took about two minutes before Braidy was fully re-dressed. She was wearing a white tracksuit, a cowl wrapped around her head. She no longer had her bandages on. Her shoes were white casual shoes. She took out a helmet from the small storage area and handed to Ali. "Wear this and hop on back, there's handles that you should grab onto. It's dangerous to have your arms around my waste." She sounded serious, jumping on her motorbike and getting it ready to go. - Caeoimhin Oren Vermillion -
"A dress huh? As long as I can mess about with a few people I'm not too fussed about playing the woman, after all you two are too ugly to be called women sometimes." He chuckled. "Smashing in and grabbing what we could would make quite a scene, also it would let people know who we are correct? Not a bad idea really if we want to get noticed by all these bottom feeders and unnatural folk." Oren talked about the natural folk like he had a sour taste in his mouth, and of course he was referring to the supernatural humans. He knew that Sienna and Alice were two of them, that much was greatly obvious but Oren decided he wouldn't kill them. They were worth keeping around.

"What? And going in, slashing up a bunch of security guards wouldn't cause a scene?" Alice replied, "And don't think the fact you look like a child means I wont put you through my sword." Beat. "But seriously," she continued, moving on, "We're professionals... well, at least I am. We go big and make a killing or we go home."

- Hunter -
Luke felt something odd. Besides the guilt that sat in his stomach, the fear that consumed his thoughts or the tiredness that strummed through every breath; he felt determined. He wanted this. He wanted to be with Lilly again, and he wanted things to be like how they were before. Luke and his sister against the world. However this time he felt things would be different. Luke and Lilly had the advantage now. They had a real home, they had real people to work with and real problems to face. They weren't chasing down thugs or street criminals. This time Luke felt he could finally make a change to the city, for better. Luke happened to glance at a reflection of himself in a store window. His face was bruised, with some cuts that were healing, but something else was different. He remembered looking at himself, on the rooftop where he met Kay. There was a tall office building next to it. He remembered how he looked. He had no cuts, no bruises, but even still his eyes looked weary, tired of it all. But now, something seemed to spark in him. He was tired of it all, yes, even now but he felt like he was going to take do something about it, by taking a stand against the Vipers, in a way he never imagined before. The events that occurred were shocking, to say the least. But he felt better because of them. Luke was still moving forward, if anything he had sped up again and Lilly with him, walking alongside him. As he glanced up at the same rooftops that he traveled across. The ones that were almost like a second home. The one with the same routes and pathways he still remembered. The ones that he wanted to just fall from, over and over again, the same feeling coursing through him, of wanting to give up and end it all. Luke felt a warped sense of nostalgia. It may have sounded odd but he appreciated those feelings. He appreciated that he went through that. He felt like he understood himself better, if that made sense. Luke stopped looking at the rooftops, as he spotted The Citadel from afar. The lights causing it to emanate an almost eerie glow in the dark streets, leading away from it. Luke continued to press on, determined to start doing what he wanted to do, and getting things the way he wanted them.

- Midnight Illusion -
It would seem that the quiet, cloaked figure from earlier had transformed into a somewhat eager individual; not unlike a scientist showing off his latest invention. “You,” Midnight pointed the scalpel carelessly at the Broker’s nose, “are the unforeseen product of the last days’ events. Unlike this man, you’re the unexpected Z in an equation that suddenly got out of control. Numbers and letters, then even more numbers and letters inside parentheses suddenly came out of the blue and tipped the weight off balance, making a whole mess of Heartania. What the Marshal has been doing, he’s been doing carefully, planning everything down to the last detail. What he possibly couldn’t have expected was you suddenly waltzing in and claiming the role as a High Chancellor.” Leona blinked as she remembered her position and lowered the scalpel slowly. “..if you don’t mind me putting it that way.” She lowered the scalpel and turned her attention back to the man on the slab. “If he did, he would most likely have used the situation to.. well, whatever his plan is. By normal super-villain standards; take over the city. Besides,” she put the scalpel back on the table, “if he did manipulate you, I would know by now.” A chair appeared behind her, and she sat down with a sigh. “In an attempt to cut it a bit shorter.. I came to you, because you were the safest option.” She faked a smile. “I could have gone to Strakov, but.. You know. Whose side is he really on? Heartania’s? Or does the UN have ulterior motives?” She scratched her head, realizing how skeptical she was about to sound. “The government? The Marshal controlled this man; what would stop him from controlling someone more influential? Say, members of the Council?” She looked up at the Broker, her chestnut brown eyes nearly visible through the eyes of the mask. “Even the Tower? Indeed, why not the Tower? I do not doubt the integrity and morals of the heroes in the slightest. What I’m more worried about, however, is the fact that they could be his pawns and not even know about it. This man, when I met him, seemed like a normal human until his eyes turned purple. The sudden change caught me completely off guard as he lashed out. I would have been dead if it wasn’t for-” Leona. Shut up. Silence fell upon them for no longer than a second as Leona tried to hide her thoughts from echoing through her head. She tried to change back to the silent, reserved woman she’d appeared to be earlier. “Excuse my rambling.” She shuffled in the chair. “So. How do you take down a fortress, High Chancellor? Knock down its walls with the heaviest artillery? Dig in underneath them? Drop from the sky in the middle of the night? Or find a way to weaken its defenses from the inside?” With her legs crossed, she leaned back in the seat and placed her right elbow on the arm-rest. “What we can almost certainly say though, is that he’s preparing something devastating. It’s not unlikely that he’s already infiltrated any of these law-enforcing factions, which is why your newly established fortress seemed to be the safest option… Though I have to admit, your hideout might be the easiest to infiltrate of them all-” A thought came out of nowhere, and she pointed her finger at the man as she tilted her head. “What if he… is a prototype?” - La Mirage -
During the short drive to the restaurant Jade had focused on the taxi driver's speedometer, what she would say to Michael, and breathing slowly. The last thing she wanted was to break into tears again, especially when she finally had the opportunity to relax and feel like a 'normal' human being. She made a promise to herself to keep her mouth shut unless he started asking her specific questions about the past few days. There was simply too much to tell, too many burdens on her shoulders to simply share them all with her friend over one meal. So Jade decided to put on a semi-fake smile as she walked out of the taxi and into Bella Heartania, hoping that the media for once had taken a break from pursuing celebrities outside the popular Italian restaurant, and asked a waiter to take her to the table for two ordered in her name.
