- The Sheriff - After much adjusting trying to make sure he didn't fall off the motorbike, James was somewhat thankful when they stopped in front of a local diner not too far into the city or from The Citadel from the looks of it. Part of him felt like he wanted to mention to Luke how dangerous it could be, if the Vipers are roaming around yet another part of him didn't care. Following Luke's lead both of them entered the clean and almost 1950's-esque looking diner as they both sat down at a table. - Acchilleus - Acchilleus stirred and woke up with a start, before getting dressed and quickly getting out of his tent. He realized that today was the first day of constructing the Safe Zone and he knew the apartment building was the first step. It was one of the least damaged buildings and hopefully it could provide shelter, electricity and running water would be needed if he could figure that out. Hopping into the van with his assistant, he drove (possibly waking up several people) away from the Safe Zone to head towards the docks, where there he would await the resources that could finally help him, craft a home for these people and his himself.

- La Mirage - That felt nice. A faint knock on the door. Oh, breakfast is here. Jade opened the door and accepted the tray with a grateful smile, then sat down on the floor with the tray next to her. She remembered the voice mail and put it on speaker as she started nibbling on some toast. Right. Now, what have been rearranged? I should check if something is missing. "You know, he wasn't around that much.” Jade’s ears perked, but she maintained a relatively neutral expression. Nice intro. Sure to catch the customer’s attention. I wonder what they’re selling this time. ”For as long as I've been alive he's spent at least 90% of his time doing his job and coming back to make things up. I suppose the life we both chose seemed to be destined to keep each other apart. My choice was to go one way and his choice was to go the other, both on the job and moral scale. He went international and I kept it domestic.” Jade snickered. Pff, silly telemarketers. ”-The twenty plus years didn't impact both our sibling rivalry and sibling love. We are, after all, family, and nothing will change that.“ Aww, how sweet~ Jade yawned and flipped through the pages of one of the files. ”He taught me how not to get caught and it was because of him that I was to make use of Downtown San Cenestra for our benefit.-“ I see... Hotel tickets; that’s my bet. Now, convince me. ”He also supplied me with what I needed to keep my head on, because I wasn't exactly...right. It was him that kept me focused, putting me in a routine that was effective. I'm a hard working individual, able to bring the best out of people despite being mostly in his shadow.-“ Jade was just partially listening; Interesting- Not. How much is it? ”-So when I got the news of his passing, two things happened. Grief, a horrible horrible feeling, and the second was that I forgot to take my meds. Oh everyone was afraid, I made a mess of the place. I think I had to pay off a couple more cops than usual to keep the families and the authorities off my back. Eventually, I took my meds, and was able to calm down, but the grief stayed. It left a hole inside me, and I need some closure.-“ ..Huh? ”-So here's the thing Miss Blythe, I am coming for you, and someone has to pay for the act you did to my brother, because our family never forgets." *Beep* Jade sat still in the room for a few seconds, replaying the last sentence in her head. She muttered a confused, “wait, what?” and gave her phone a look of disbelief. “..did someone just? Hang on-” She quickly rose from the floor and fetched a pen and a piece of paper, before replaying the voice mail one more time. Let’s pay attention to what you have to say this time.

- The Broker - The Broker had a bad night. The sleep was bad, yesterday was bad, and he had a feeling today would be worse. He needed to escape this position, or at least the struggle of it as soon as possible. He had lost Kay, and he lost Luke, the former being more damaging to him. The piano's presence only amplified that. He simply sat up and stretched his back, before two people in white came in and picked him up. He was getting an assessment on his legs today, to determine whether it would be possible to be back on his feet tonight, of if he needed some operations to repair the damage the Ravagers did. He got his X-Rays, he watched the news, and took in the events. It seemed Benedict was doing well, Adrian Cooper disappeared, and the transport system was at minimal working capacity. He was doing well for someone in power for two days, though the civilians may not see that. He knew Acchilleus had set up his own band, but he didn't know to what capacity. If it was to do criminal activity, then why would Monica Johnson be involved? Is she involved or is she simply passing by and just talking to a former councillor? He didn't know the extent of the conversation, just that the two met. Time will tell. "Alright High Chancellor, we've inspected your legs and we have some results." Broker sighed and said, "go on". "We know that the bullets practically shredded through the lower half of your leg, and that your attempt to walk back resulted in some more damage. It's a miracle it didn't disintegrate your overall flow of the blood, though it has done some major tissue damage and shattered your bones." The doctor looked at him and said "If you want to possibly walk by the end of today or even in the next few days, you're going to need to have an operation to repair the damage to the bones, tissue, and most importantly your nerves. They took an unbelievable amount of damage, and they are essential for you to feel weight again." The doctor then started to fill out a clipboard. "After that you are going to need some physical therapy so you can get use to the sense of weight, and that should hopefully get you to minimal operational status in the next few days if excluding external contraptions or auras." The Broker counted his odds. He knew he would be out of action for a majority of the day, but on the other hand the Citadel was doing fine. It was rebuilding the city, and this major operation could help more. The Broker looked at the doctor and said "When can we start?" "We can start right now if you want?" The Broker said yes, and soon he was lifted onto a stretcher. The gas mask went on, and soon he was out. - The Chaser - She didn't sleep, she can't sleep, her nightmares were too much for her to return to. She saw the news, and she wanted to return to the field. She was testing her reaction time, simple game of tennis with an android with advanced AI. Swing, bat, swing, bat, swing, bat, swing. It was all in good order, and she returned to the table, fixing the wire of her electrified trap. "You're going to exhaust yourself dear." Claudia kept her focus, it was only her passenger from beyond the darkness, her mother, or the memory of her mother. "You need to be in tip top shape if you want to change th--" "Mother...I'm fine." She continued her work, upgrading and building and upgrading and building and upgrading. It was what needed to be done, and it's what she liked to do. She rescued Felix, and there was no doubt she would be out in the field again. She got word that a hero was dead, shot in the head, very unusual for a hero, and it was something she needed to look at. - Shadow Fixer - The blur, the headache, the knockout, he opened his eye. The sensation was odd, and he needed to keep focus. He looked around the room, though half awake. There wasn't much, he was restrained in a room, but the man in the room was all too familiar. The Marshal. He expressed nothing, no doubt the man would want the first words. - Frequency - The orphans were excited to see her again. The playroom has covered in posters of her, though one of them did stick up a picture of "The Second Way", a boy band she had encountered in her career. She played her music, she kept them happy, and she had breakfast with them. - The Pursuer - The party mood had died down, people were leaving the premises either drunk out of their minds, still screaming in happiness, or were immediately sober after having cheesy chips from a late night vender from across the street. The Village was a good place to party, and Andras was only happy to help. The familiar feeling he got from one of the customers was strange, familiar, even in the haze of over-the-top gayness, cheesy but enjoyable dance music, and the smell and feel of sweat and alcohol. Would he see her again? Possibly, but the next time will have him delve deep into his memories. She was familiar, and if it's for the wrong reasons then he would have to interfere. - Benedict Strahm - Benedict wasn't too much of a sleeper, but the discussion he had with that broke married woman was still distracting. He needed someone to help him investigate the insurance company, but he had received nothing from his cousin. Beep His phone went off, he checked, a message. It had a number and the message "they go by the name of Kay, don't mention us". "They?" he muttered to himself. Was it a squad he was about to get, or someone who didn't identify with either biological side? It was vocabulary he was unfamiliar with, but if it would help him then he would accept it. He dialled the number, and waited for an answer. - Jessica Paige - The sunrise was delightful, something she looked forward to when given the chance. She sat at her desk in the new, if temporary, compound on Pacified Hills. She heard a knock on the door and demanded they enter. "Boss, we've completed your request." "Did you get caught?" she asked in a threatening tone. "No sir" he replied instantly. "Was anyone inside?" "No sir." She was disappointed, but it would send a message regardless. "I'm going to head into town soon, find me a place for people like us." "As your wish boss." He left the room. Jessica tilted her head in the targets direction. Smoke was seeping up, only a matter of time before Miss Blythe get's the message.

- Argent Mind - Alf Jones groaned as he lifted himself out of bed. He ached. Days of fighting was clearly beginning to take a toll, on his mind as much as his body. Grumbling to himself, the aging man struggled into the shower, which served to wake him up somewhat. A freshly cleaned costume was waiting for him when he got out, and as he suited up, he started to relax his thoughts. He would have to deal with his headache before he headed out, and that would require a clear mind. - The Speaker - Salvatore Ragno sat in his office, sipping his coffee as he watched the city. Reconstruction work, directed by the Citadel and funded by him, was already beginning. It was a little irritating that no knowledge of his donation had been shown on the news, but Ragno knew he couldn't trust the High Chancellor to spread the good word. News of his efforts were spreading, slowly, but direct action would be needed to increase the image. Perhaps a call to his friends at the Heartainia News Network would be effective, arranging an interview. That way, people would know of his involvement. Yes... He sent a message down to his secretary to make the arrangements, and then set about his other business. - Adamant Tyrant - Years of mercenary work had made Nariko a light sleeper. She always had to be ready for an ambush, after all. It was lucky, then, that she never seemed to need too much rest, especially when so many of her men were prone to snoring. Their cacophony filled the interior of the jet with a constant rumbling, so she was sitting outside, cleaning and maintaining her equipment. It had become a routine to do so at this point- every time there was a moment of peace, she settled down to fix her armour and sort out the wear and tear on her firearms. It was relaxing, and when so much of her life was dedicated to adrenaline and violence, it was important to have quiet moments. Even if they were mind-numbingly dull...

- Kay - Kay had their phone on the top beside the sprawl of materials they were working on. They had only just finished with the meagre spread of message, nothing urgent amongst them, when it began to ring. They managed to catch the button with an elbow and put on their cheery receptionist voice. "You have reached Kay's phone. Please explain why you are calling." They kept the noise of other tasks to a minimum cutting at material with a sharpened scalpel.

- Acchilleus - "Do you think we can fit this all in the van?" asked Acchilleus as he looked down at the boat that had carried supplies for building, fences, all the tools they needed. His assistant studied the different assortment of materials and items left in the boat. Acchilleus was more or less casting his gaze towards the sailor who seemed disgruntled by the journey, and only now imagined they had been sailing over night to reach here. "Yeah. But we'll need more," replied the assistant who was writing notes down. Acchilleus nodded and began hauling as much as he could into the back of the van, with the assistant who promptly came to help. The sailor must have been hugely angry that they were practically forced to come here, seeing as they didn't make any offer to help whatsoever. After what seemed like an age, they had finally managed to secure most of the materials and bid their goodbye to the sailor, before driving off. For perhaps the first time, since he arrived to this city, Acchilleus felt hopeful.

- Marshal Maleficus - The Marshal smirked as Adrian woke up; and then decided to keep quiet. Keeping silent, he motioned a morph to use a remote to spin the chair the doctor was sitting in around. What faced him was a little something the Marshal was rather proud of. A complete replica of the scientist's old laboratory; the one he shared with his husband until his demise. "Welcome to your new home, Dr. Cooper. It's time you resumed working for me... Under more... permanent arrangements."

- La Mirage - Jade focused on the voice and jotted down key words. Once the call was finished, she held the note up in front of her and inspected the list who should give her some hint at who the delusional woman was. • Female voice, probably between 20-30 years old • Workaholic man- worked internationally. Passed away recently. • Siblings, 20+ age difference. Man between 40-55 years old • Downtown San Cenestra? • She’s on medications; suffering mentally. Lunatic? Who do I know that would fit this profile? Her eyes flickered at the odd idea that popped into her head. Surely not… Did that bastard Paige have a sister? She flicked into the news app on her phone, but before she could type in ‘Paige’ in the search bar her eyes were met by blindingly bold letters. Empty Blythe residence mysteriously catches fire. Jade snapped for air and glared at the screen. This is can’t be a coincidence. As if on command she rose up from the floor and fetched another piece of paper. With her telekinesis she poured herself a cup of tea, took a sip, and stretched her neck. A quick glimpse in the cell phone’s screen revealed her eyes to be orange, but Jade paid little notice to that as she called back to the threatening woman.

- Hunter & The Sheriff - "So this is the diner, you and your sister went to?" asked James, wanting clarification. Luke nodded before thanking the waitress as they poured coffee for both James and Luke. James thanked them, also. Luke took a grip of the handle and sipped, whereas James seemed to start drinking right away at the hot coffee, causing Luke to raise an eyebrow and smile slightly. "Well yeah, we used to come here. It's been a while," replied Luke as he took another sip of the coffee and looked out the window. James took this moment to glance around at the diner, it seemed somewhat old and dusty with little to no customers but still clean on the counters at least. James looked Luke up and down whilst he continued gazing out the window, and sipped at his coffee. "Do you think that Broker guy will be pissed?" asked James, Luke looked back and sighed. He had been thinking about how the others would handle the news, or what exactly The Broker would be thinking about last night's events. But he came to a conclusion which seemed to be the best for him. "I think a better question is, do you think I care?" questioned Luke, smirking and causing James to chuckle. "I guess not," said James, as both he and Luke laughed before the waitress came back and asked if they would like to order anything. "Yeah sure, I'll have..." James quickly began scanning on the menu, Luke had already read it when he glanced down at it, when they both sat down. He was just thankful to be out of The Citadel, and reminded himself to thank James for getting him out of there. - Acchilleus - Acchilleus and the assistant had driven back, and by now many of the people had already woken up and were wandering around, most too nervous to speak to the Viper Gang members but those brave enough were given little to no information. As Acchilleus stepped out the van, he motioned for every to crowd around him. "Okay, right. Today we are going to start getting ready. I need four of our security force to focus on fencing with a couple other people. Depending on your ability, my assistant will be giving you different jobs. I will try to help as much as possible, but I need to speak to others and make sure we have the help we need to keep you safe. If you have any objections-" "Why won't you be building and working like us?" asked a man, crossing his arms and furrowing his brows at Acchilleus. "As I said, I will, but I need to ensure that we get the help we need and more resources to keep you all safe. Everyone understand?" asked Acchilleus. Many of the people nodded. "Okay let's get to work." Turning back to glance at the apartment building, it wasn't run down completely but it would need some work. But from the looks of it, they could probably fence the first block off for now. Hopefully.

- The Queen of Hearts - Alice burst through the doors, throwing the white, cloth, dry-cleaning bag onto the ground. "So you lazy lummoxes finally decided to wake up?" she teased sternly, like a drill sergeant. In all honest she wasn't annoyed by their late rise at 6am though thought it best to attempt to talk down to them anything to assert her dominance and to beat the 'laziness' out of them.

- Benedict Strahm - An answer! "Hello, hi. I'm calling in regards to a job offer. I am currently investigating some corporate foul play and I heard Kay was excellent at this sort of thing. Would it be possible to hear from her today?" He kept his polite tone up, always make a good first impression. - Shadow Fixer - The bastard. Going to too much effort to try and drag him back, after all that he did to him. Manipulated him, vague promises, trying to kill him, and worst of all try to corrupt the memories he held close. "Save your breath and kill me, because I'm not crawling back to you." He took a closer look at the situation and simply laughed. "I see now, you're struggling with something, you're lacking, and instead of trying to face me you basically do the kidnapping equivalent of kicking a crippled dog." He leaned towards the Marshal a little. "Not going to happen." - Jessica Paige - The smoke got higher, the flames were burning, and the news was covering it. This was excellent, most excellent. The phone rang, ring ring, the tone penetrating Jessica's head, it was something that ruined the mood. Only temporary, as she soon saw who was ringing. She smiled and answered. "How does it feel? To feel your past creeping up on you?"

- Kay - "You can hear from them right now i'll just pass you over." The chirpy tone devolved into a masculine tone not quite male, not quite female in the mid ranges where the definition between the two became hard to pin. "Could you give me the name of the place I would be investigating and what you would want me to look into, this line is secure at my end at least please don't be cryptic or this will take all day." The words were clipped and sharp. Corporate investigation was not usually urgent, there was a good chance this could either wait or they would turn it down.

- La Mirage - Jade sipped her tea. Though there were a couple of ways she could handle the situation, she decided to take the blunt approach and replied to the woman’s cheerful question with a voice as smooth as silk. “My past is none of your concern,” Jade took another sip of tea, “and I haven’t even shook hands with your brother. Why, Miss Paige, are you coming after me?” - Hattie Belcrest - “HATTIE!!” The loud, female voice echoed off the walls in the small cafeteria and caused Hatty to tighten her grip around the large cup of coffee in front of her. Though Hatty was an early rise-early shine kind of girl, she despised that she had to wake up at 5 am to go to work. Her co-worker’s piercing voice did nothing to lighten her mood. “YOU LUCKY B*TCH!” “..huh?” Hatty, sitting at a table with two sound technicians, looked up at the platinum blonde woman who either was overjoyed or going to throw a fit. “How! I just don’t see it!” The woman marched over to them in her high, red heels. “I have been here a year. A WHOLE YEAR! Yet YOU, the rookie, get to do a LIVE INTERVIEW with Salvatore Ragno HIMSELF!” The woman placed her hands on Hatty’s shoulders and pretended to choke her. The other persons seated at the table started to laugh all the while Hatty forced her twitching hands away from the boiling cup of coffee and underneath the table. “Haha- I don’t even know what you’re talking about,” she laughed nervously. “Check your phone! You’re scheduled for the 12 am news.”

- Jessica Paige - Jessica was offended, the answer was damaging. "I've read the report. Female matching your description offering money to a Councillor before you and your associate shot him and his two protectors." She pulled the report on the desk. "Fortunately for me your associate is already dead, but you wren't charged, you weren't hurt, and you were not dead." Her tone raised. "Isn't it a coincidence that the report mentioned that my brother was working with your family? Isn't it a coincidence that he died over an exchange of money? Why is it that you were never identified and why was the money never found?" Her tone raised again. "If I'm a smart woman I would say you paid off the chief commissioner before he was gone later that day. It was the last report he filed so I'd say you paid him off and he scooted." A soldier for the family came in and Jessica glared at him. "WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT KNOCKING AND WAITING?" "Sir...we found him...the commissioner." Her tone immediately changed. "Oh...perfect timing", she said in a cheery tone. "Set up the room, chainsaw, I'll deal with this personally." The soldiers charged into the room and covered every part of the office with plastic sheeting. They prepared Jessica's outfit as the former police commissioner was carried into the room. "You're going to listen to your dog give up the details." She put the phone on loudspeaker and rested it on the table. Her apron was on and placed the helmet half way on her head. She picked up a cane and hit the commissioner over the head. "Where is the Blythe money?" "I don't know." Hit. "Where is the money?" "I don't know what you're talking about." Hit. "Why are you protecting my brother's killer?" "I worked with your brother, we had a healthy relationship, we ate at the Bronze Tree regularly." Hit. "DON'T CLAIM TO KNOW MY BROTHER! NOW WHERE IS JADE BLYTHE!??" "I don't know, I swear!" He was practically crying, his face was bruised, and he clearly had some hope that he would leave. "Absolutely pathetic." She dropped the cane and fully put on the face mask. Time to satisfy it. She picked up the chainsaw. "Oh god.....please, I didn't do anything!" "Exactly, you did nothing, and my brother died." She revved the chainsaw and it emitted a loud roar. The commissioner cowered with fear and begged her to no avail. First it was the right arm, slowly. His screams nearly drowned out the sound of the saw, then she got started with the feet, then the hands, then the arm, then the upper thigh, his screaming got quieter. And finally, the head rolled off. The practice took about a minute, and by the end of it the room was covered in blood. Jessica took the helmet off before saying "Dispose of him, put him in the sea for all I care!" She picked up the phone again and said "You better prepare yourself, something far worse is coming!" She hung up.
