- Snowflake - "Well.. I'd wouldn't mind some extra cash." Snowflake smiled to herself and ate another spoonful of corn flakes. Thanks Inferno~ "Did you see the news? Pretty intense stuff." - La Mirage - "..I just wish he was here- *hic*" Jade calmed down ever so slightly and felt comforted by Shades presence. "..she's Paiges sister. I was just about to look into her when.." Some sheets of paper whirled up around her as her fear took on another shape: anger. "She set my house on fire. Luckily my dad is staying in Capital city. I don't know what I would have done if- No, I can't even think about it. If I ever get my hands on her!" More sheets of paper joined in on the little hurricane forming around the pair as the red colour in her eyes intensified. "No. Not if, when! I'm going to find that monster before she finds me and plant a card between her eyes!"

- Reaver - Settling on a chair at her kitchen counter, Reaver sipped her coffee and chuckled. "Oh that? Yeah, it was pretty cool." She conceded with a smirk. "Honestly, I don't think they did us justice. 'Extremely dangerous' seems like an understatement, considering what we did to this city." She peered out her window at the view of the bridge, still damaged and covered in construction workers. "Anyway, did you get your brother back home alright? I'm afraid to say I don't think Nariko was very fond of him." - Shade - Shade was forced to shroud the top half of her body, creating a rather strange situation in which paper just flew right through her head and continued swirling. "Paige's sister... Shit." Shade growled. "And she's coming after you? Damn it, dear Broker's glorious plan of pretending to kill himself is truly the gift that keeps on giving." Not only had he almost broken the poor girl back then, he'd managed to summon some psychotic bitch down on her head. It was as if he couldn't comprehend the consequences for those around him. Jade was taking quite the beating hanging around her Jon. "Look, Jade, I'm going to help you kill her. Simple truth- she's fucked with you, and she is going to pay. Whatever you need, I'm ready."

- Marshal Maleficus - "You talk as if kidnapping a crippled dog isn't fun. I much prefer kidnapping idiotic dogs, however; hence last night's... shenanigans." The Marshal clicked his fingers and a TV screen appeared, with collections of photographs of all of the Shadow Fixer's associates. A certain Ms. Blythe sat at the centre; which still surprised the mastermind that the two were wound up in some way. "Every other monologue you indulge yourself in; and every day you don't work. One of them will die."

- The Queen of Hearts - "You're right." Alice replied to Oren quickly, slightly saddened that she had to admit such, "But that leaves one large question of what do we do in the meantime?" In reality, Alice had little to no social life and had nothing to fill up her days.

- Hunter & The Sheriff - "A Belgian waffle? Really?" questioned Luke, raising an eyebrow and smiling at James who was far too busy enjoying his meal that the waitress gave him only a few seconds before Luke's comment. Looking up, James tried to speak but held out his hand and waited until he finish chewing before retorting. "As if you wouldn't want a Belgian waffle for your breakfast," replied James curtly, as Luke rose his eyebrow further and started to eat his own meal. "Besides a Belgian waffle is better than your stack of pancakes right there." "Pancakes are better," argued Luke, still smiling. "Whatever you say," said James, before he continued eating before asking. Finding himself with no other apparent topics to bring up, James decided to go for it. "So how exactly did you get into Heartania?" Luke stopped eating. "You first," responded Luke, not really feeling the most enthusiastic to talk as he shifted in his seat uncomfortably. "I asked first," smirked James, causing Luke to sigh out of irritation. "Fine," said Luke, James was slightly worried he may have done more harm than good asking this question. "Well, it's a long story. Me and my sister, we were sort of kicked out, disowned. We were homeless for a while, until we sort of met this group of other guys just like us. Some around our age, some a bit older or younger. All disowned like us. We were going to look out for each other and-" James sort of looked taken back. "You don't have to-" started James. "It's fine," interrupted Luke. "We just didn't make it. Me and Lilly, we found Custos and then we sort of acted like heroes, and then we were attacked by the Viper gang. Before we never really came into Heartania, we lived on the outskirts and only came in for school or stuff." "Well that's a story," joked James, trying to lighten the mood, once he saw Luke's expression barely changed. He frowned. "Sorry Quiver." Luke groaned before smiling again. "Thanks for being so sympathetic," thanked Luke sarcastically. What about you? Why did you come here? Luke was actually genuinely curious as to why James had decided to come here of all places. There's nothing really good left in this city any more. So why would he choose to come here? James simply sighed. "Well..."

- Snowflake - "No news is good news," Snowflake smiled to herself, "I thought Nariko would simply sleep it off. Don't worry, she won't ever have to see him again." - La Mirage - Shade's sarcastic remark left a bittersweet taste in her mouth. Maybe I made a mistake by trusting Jonathan in the first place. I should have just handled it myself- I could have asked Michael to help me rob a bank. Jade shook her head and rose her hand, making the anger fueled hurricane freeze and capture all the loose paper midair. 'What if' won't get me anywhere. Now I have to find a solution to this problem. "Thank you. Let's see.." With a small wave of her hand the sheets of paper fell to the floor and gathered themselves in four neat stacks. The empty file covers flew across the room and landed in front of Jade, as if they expected her to fill them up with their missing contents. "Could you look for one of those vests that Jonathan wore when he faked his death? I don't want to be caught off guard and get shot. And if I do get shot, at least I'll have the moment of surprise." Jade picked up one pile of papers and sighed. This will take a while. "Meanwhile I'll try to come up with something to catch that maniac.. And maybe find my cousins killer in the process."

- Reaver - "No one ever said Nariko is good kids." Reaver giggled, thinking back on the memory of the huge woman beating Felix into submission. It was not a subtle reminder of her friend's savage strength. "However, I think deep down she's really just a big softy. If the merc business doesn't work out, she should get into children's parties. They'd be exciting, at least." - Shade - Shade stood up and very nearly sarcastically saluted at the sudden orders. She decided at the last moment that it would likely not be appropriate or kind. "Sure, I can get hold of one of those things." She said, stepping to the door. "Planning situations that involve getting shot may be prudent, but it isn't vastly optimistic.

- La Mirage - "After that chainsaw... Poor man.. And he didn't know anything!" Jade shuddered. "I can't afford to be optimistic. Who knows what will happen when we meet." She straightened her back and looked up at Shade one more time. "Please, don't tell Mira about this. I don't want her to be scared and worry about me." - Snowflake - "I'm sure she'd be a mood killer at every party," Snowflake snickered. "Who are we working for later, Ree? Who do they want to do in?"

- The Chaser - Left right up down left right up down left right up down slam slam slam. Claudia's training was intensifying as she was trying to get use to what she brought back. It was still odd, sometimes unpleasant, but was also optimistic of it's use. With one more blow, she fired the small explosive charge from the palm of her hand and finished her training. The explosive was light, enough to blast open a door and/or stun some people for a few seconds. "Training complete, would you like to try again?" "No thanks, keep track of anything unusual in the city." "Will do Miss Kramer." She grabbed a towel and slouched onto a seat. Sweating like crazy she observed the damage she had done in her training. It was messy, but at least she was prepared. She sighed a little bit as she exited the Vault and got back to the surface. She walked down the corridors and found one that was unusually open. She looked inside and saw Jade and Shade, slumped and in a bad situation. Shyly, she said "Is there anything I can do?" She'll find out about the situation, first it was best to at least assist. - Benedict Strahm - Benedict kept a steady pace, only gaining a surplus of 10 dollars from his original 100. He drank the coffee as he continued playing, winning and losing, a stark contrast to his first night here. He kept thinking about his options, keep searching, do it himself, or do something idiotic and try again. If he did it himself he would risk the wrath of the company or get caught and put into jail for corporate espionage, despite the true intentions. If he kept searching he may never be able to find someone and it might also be too late. If he was going to give it another try with Kay, he would have to pull some sort of card. There was a reason they put down the phone, was it because they took a contract with the insurance company? Or was there something lingering over the proposition that he doesn't know. He did have an idea, and with that he cashed in his 110 dollars, drank the rest of his coffee, and marched back to the office. He dialled the number, Kay. He had a story to tell them. - Shadow Fixer - Coopers eyes widened at the sight of the images. Some he didn't recognise, but one of them stuck out. Jade, someone he knew so much to the point that she called him 'Uncle Adrian'. If there was a possibility that she would be taken out, he couldn't risk it. He could sabotage the Marshal on the inside, but it was risky, perhaps too risky. With a defeated sigh, he said "fine...I'll do whatever you want to be done."

- Bloodstream - "I think you're both wrong" Were the words Sienna wanted to spit in both their faces. Night was when different heroes came to play. Day or Night there was always some kind of problem out there. They resisted the urge as she knew the voices feeding her anger were not always the most stable. Destruction, Chaos these were fun outside of herself, inside she had carefully crafted a fort to fight away the pain and anguish that had landed lately in her life. It did not always hold up true but for this moment she was winning. "I'm going to go to the Hospital even if we're not starting yet. You have your props." Sienna indicated Alice's hall with the brush before putting it away. "I need a uniform and a better lay out of the place than a magazine can provide." - Kay - Kay's phone buzzed again with the same number presenting on the screen. It was tempting not to answer in fact probably the wisest course but their curiosity at what he possibly thought he could say drifted in. Curiosity had been Kay's main driving force for life, without it they would not have escaped, would not have met friends or even started on the project that was being melded in their hands right now. It turned out habits were hard to break. "I told you not to contact me again." Their tone held the same level of knives being sharpened as before.

- The Queen of Hearts - With one hand, Alice picked up the same dry-cleaning bag and tossed it at Sienna. "What did you think was in there? Vermillion's pajamas?" she said plainly to Sienna's request for a uniform, "And you're the computer fanatic... though I suppose you'll need a computer." Oren's suggestion of night proved to leave themselves vulnerable to too many night-watchers like old Cold Steel from Scarlet back before the... the night... At the same time, Sienna seemed to be suggesting a daytime heist which seemed to also expose them to the much more plentiful heroes of the day. "But does it matter? 'Day or night?' We all know nobody sleeps in this city. Argent Mind must be pushing seventy and he's on-call 24/7." Alice spoke in a mocking and - as always - mostly irritable tone.

- Oren - "Heroes are easy to bait. Argent Mind is old, he's weak and vulnerable to people like us. Since I'll be causing the ruckus they'll focus on me. If it's only Argent Mind then I'll have the upper hand on him. But, the more that come the more dangerous it'll get." Oren sat cross legged on the floor, his beer can empty beside him. "But, If we make the assumption that Starlass won't come due to the fact it will be night, she probably has another identity to protect. But most likely she will. When you guys get the drugs you get out of there as soon as possible. I'll try to retreat. Alice you'll be with Sienna correct? If you are then you'll be her bodyguard when you leave. There will most likely be other heroes surrounding the area. It'll be more dangerous for me, If they do capture me then don't come for me. I can make my own way out.". Oren's mind was in hyper-drive mode, working and thinking like the brains he was. But he couldn't compare to actual super powered intelligence so he just used what he was given. Lying back down he yawned.

- La Mirage - "Is there anything I can do?" Claudia's sudden presence surprised Jade who gave her an annoyed stare. Was she eavesdropping? "How much did you hear?" She is Jon's sister, but that's a bit suspicious. On the other hand, she might be useful. "Actually- can you look up the former councillor Paige's living relatives? I'm particularly interested in his sister; see if you can find out anything about her." Jade hesitated, but wrote down Miss Paige's phone number on a piece of paper. "And.. Well, if you can; please track down her position. I'll tell you why later." Jade tried to smile politely and sent the note flying over to Claudia. "I'll go into town in a little while- I have some business to attend to."

- The Chaser - Claudia took the paper and commented "I can tell you somethings about him, use to work alongside him", harking back to her days with the council. "He had three sisters and two brothers. His two brothers became politicians in Capital City and Scarlet City, unlike our friend they were honest and were actually pretty tearful, though considering their brother I'd take that with a pinch of salt." She took a look at the note and tried to see if the area code related to anywhere she knew. "His three sisters aren't too far from here. Last I heard they were working for the governor, though I should be able to find something." She started to scoot off. "Let me know if you want anything else." She started her walk back to the Vault. Why was Jade taking an interest in Paige? And why does she want to know about his sisters? - Benedict Strahm - They answered. "And yet, here I am." He looked over his security cameras, observing his conversation with the drunk woman earlier today. "Let me tell you a story... A woman and their partner are living a relatively normal life in the city, got an apartment to themselves, steady income to keep them living, and some loving friends. That changed a couple of days ago when those riots happened, the chaos. No doubt some of their friends died but even if they didn't they were still together and planned to move out. The real kick in the teeth came when the insurance company blatantly told them that they were not going to get the full claim, and were in-fact going to get nothing on the basis that no real damage had been done to their house. If you take a look at their website you can see that the company offers property, health, and probably damage insurance, meaning they should be getting a claim for possible mental trauma and the damage sustained nearby. But they didn't, instead they are now stuck in a pretty dangerous part of town due to the changes, unable to get a new place thanks to the insurance company, and this lead to one of them to try and win money at the casino using their life savings. That was just one story. How many households do the insurance company cover? About 500,000 in the city alone according to their website. How many of them have been fleeced out of their claim? Is it fair that they don't get the money there were told they were going to get? I doubt those who were refused claims would want to speak out in fear of retaliation, especially in this climate, but if someone with no prior history with them could find evidence, then they can't retaliate. I called you because I heard you were good, and I would imagine you don't have a client at the moment. Now I could try and find someone else, but that takes time and by then the insurance company could have gotten rid of the evidence, something that cannot be afforded. Whatever your beef is with me, nothing compared to what could be cracked open. So I'll give you an offer. Work for me for this one job, finish it, and we don't have to see each other again. If you have second thoughts now, meet me at the Bronze Tree by the foreshore in an hour, and I can answer any questions you may have. I won't waste your time any longer, and the decision is up to you. Just please think about that story I told you." He hung up, grabbed his case, and started to make his way to the Bronze Tree.
