- Ares Warbander - The straw dummy didn't have long left for this world. The tattered cloth made to represent skin was barely in one piece, having absorbed blow after blow for the past hour. Although the weapon impacting it was nothing more than wood, the strength of the man wielding it more than made up for the blade's dullness. Ares Warbander wiped the sweat from his brow and prepared for another blow. I'm not strong enough. Crack Not yet Crack Not until I can fell any foe... Crack ...can I be certain of my path. Snap The last blow was too much for the training dummy, falling to the ground as its support pole splintered. Ares sighed, rolling his shoulders back. "At least I can still defeat you, my broken little friend. But that's not going to get me very far, now is it?" - The Harvester - Orlando emerged from the shadows behind Acchileus, having observed the prior conversation. He pulled his scarf down slightly and wiped his platinum blonde hair from his face. "A person who is not, and who can change their face at will. Are you sure you can trust this one?" Things were getting strange in Acchileus' camp. And Orlando wasn't used to strange when it wasn't on the end of his blade. - Sonar - There was a knock on the door. Johnny Anderson looked up, peeking through the dirty motel window. He couldn't see the person themself, but the feathery wings covering his view gave him a pretty good idea who was at his door. "Come in, it's unlocked." he called, not bothering to get up from the tattered couch he was seated on. Aderyn Stone stepped through the door, her wings brushing against the frame noisily. Once again, she marveled at her old friend's choice in accommodation. "This motel is filthy. I thought you said you were in with the Tower? Can't you get a room there?" she nagged, turning up her nose. "Sure, maybe. But I'd rather stay well away from their bureaucratic nonsense, at least until we've got what you came here for. Don't need our man Argent Mind sending me off to the middle of fuckin' nowhere while we're trying to hunt down a murderer." Aderyn sighed. He was right, but it was still frustrating. It was hard to find comfort in a place where you could count the cockroaches in your trash bin to pass the time. "On that front, did you find anything out?" Johnny smirked, nodding slowly. "Of course I did, don't you know me? I hung around that politician's cronies, found out a few things eavesdropping on their conversations. The hero killer called 'The Harvester' has been added to their ranks, and a few of them are a little wary of him. Say he looks the type to stab any of them should they have a disagreement. Apparently, he never leaves Mr. Libertas' side, watching him like a hawk from the shadows like some sort of creepy bodyguard. Other than that, the Vipers know very little about him." Aderyn's eyes light up. "So we know where he is. We find the man who calls himself Acchileus, and we find the scum who killed Cassie. Sounds easy enough, these politician types don't like hiding very much after all." Johnny sighed. "Easier said than done. But I'm sure we'll find a way. Anyway, I need a nap. Listening in on so much shit is exhausting. Let me know if anything goes down, yeah?" Aderyn mumbled agreement, then sat on the couch herself, looking out the window. Don't worry, Cassie. We'll get him. I promise.

- Bloodstream - Sienna was wildly happy with their haul of goods as they trundled down the corridor to a large lift at the back. cowered by the soiled lab coat of the doctor peaking out of a bio-hazard waste bag they wore long marigold cloves to cover the fresh cut and traces of blood they had struggled to scrub away once they pinched the flow shut. It was a shame bandages were next to useless but that was part of the fun, the gloves even double layered would likely only last as far as the basement level even with the less thick remainder slightly wet on their skin. There was the sound of extra sirens in the city nearby but it was hard to tell between the mix of ambulances and police whether they were coming or going. It did not matter to Sienna as some people got on the lift with her getting out at the ground floor as she headed lower. In the basement she picked up speed, squeaking along on the shiny floors that began to give way to concrete as she moved towards the ramp that would lead her out to near the ambulance garage.

- Venator - Venator arrived at the hospital to find a police cordon being set up, squad cars pulling up as alarms blared. An evacuation was taking place, the wounded and ill stumbling out into the streets in obvious disorder. The building had barely been repaired since the last attack, only a few nights ago, and had yet to be fully staffed or secured. A vulnerable target for any would-be villain. To get in past the police, and engage in her mission, she would have to find another entrance. She warped around, getting a view of the situation, and realised that the ambulance garage had yet to be covered. She grinned slightly, summoning the Recurve to her hand, and took her chance. - Hammerfist - Jason jumped to the side with a grace unexpected from his side, easily sidestepping the clumsy kick from the brute. He darted in, and delivered a few rapid blows, hands blurring with speed as he struck out. Rock cracked under the strikes, flakes flying off in all directions, but progress was slow against the hulking monster. Jason was impressed- he had the strength to level a building, and yet he could only dent this thing. He stepped back to reasses what he needed to do, and that's when he heard some advice from an... Odd man. Jason didn't really know how to react, but came to the conclusion that as he had no better plans, he might as well give it a try. Leaping to the fire hydrant, he struck it to release the water, using his foot to direct the gout to the golem. - Argent Mind - "Just a 'kid' possessing this level of power?" Argent Mind chuckled, despite the dire situation. "You're not a very good liar. Judging by the nature of this attack, with the hostages and the lack of objective, I'd say you're causing a distraction. And there's only one other attack that I can see at this time." He floated a little closer, shaking his head. "Let these people go. If you really want to hold my attention from whatever you're doing in the hospital, you'd be far better off fighting me rather than having this exchange. I can use my power to direct my allies while we talk. It will be a lot harder for that if you're using this... Talent of yours to take me down."

- Oren - Oren laughed. It was a fake laugh you could honestly mistake for a real laugh, and it continued to Oren was gasping for air. "Argent Mind! I honestly thought that you were intelligent, that you actually had some brains in you but no! You're as brainless as every other hero to exist. And you want to know my real objective! The real one I was sent here to do!" He stood there, arms extended outwards, exaggerating his pose to the fullest. "I'll tell you what I'm here for. I'm here to kill every. single. one. of you heroes in this city. And you Argent Mind were stupid enough to fall into this trap of mine. And, for you getting closer to me I'm murdering one of these" Oren closed his fist. A peice of paper swiftly crossed the woman in the middle's throat causing blood to pray inside the cage. The paper cage came apart at Oren's command, the womans heavily pregnant body falling to the ground slowly with the help of paper. "See that woman there Argent, You could have saved her if you were just that tinniest bit smarter. Also, You could save her baby, from the looks of it she was just a few days from going into labour." The sadistic little grin widened on Oren's face.

- Argent Mind - Hatred boiled up inside of Argent Mind. This monster had killed an innocent woman. An innocent child. "If I were smarter, I would reach out and break you neck, you sick bastard." He growled. This would not stand. As he spoke, he reached out mentally, and created telekinetic bubbles around the remaining hostages. Not again. "If I were smarter, I would have realised that some savages will do anything to hide their real objectives. I want you to know, then, that in this action you have brought not only your own doom, but that of your friends. I will hunt them down. First though..." He expanded his power, tearing the paper away from the hostages before reaching out and launching a wall of telekinetic power to knock the creature of it's platform. "I'm going to deliver justice."

- The Pursuer - The creature was being washed down by a rush of water, and to ensure it wouldn't get away from the action Andras whipped out and activated his shield, giving the back of the stone creature a bash on the back to force it towards the mysterious hero. - The Chaser - Claudia put her hands up, fully sleeved and gloved in a bid to calm the villain figure. "Easy there," she started as a doctor was taken hostage. "No need for anyone to get killed." The environment was getting scanned, might show more about her new friend, even if it was to say she had bubblegum in her pocket.

- Hunter - Luke found himself scrambling onto the rooftop, slowly looking around as he spotted that everything remained the same. The office of the woman he consoled seemed to be shut down, probably due to the damage done in the riots. He couldn't really find himself caring, as he looked around wondering what was the best route to get towards the museum, or if the museum was really the best place to head to. Luke had no idea what disguise Kay was wearing now, or any way to spot them besides their purple eyes, hopefully he could pick them out from a crowd. But what were they talking about? He was in danger? Of course, Luke knew now that without the protection of The Citadel, he was most definitely in danger to The Broker's enemies especially, however many people that may be. As Luke watched himself get closer to the same edge he thought of jumping from, peering down at the street he quickly stepped back and focused. I need to find some way to that museum.

- Kay - Kay leapt from roof to roof picking bigger and bigger gaps to cross, to any person who might be watching it would seem they were a reckless youth testing their limits. That was a lie, whereas the calculations of arc when a human threw a ball or landed a jump were invisible to them Kay could see the numbers crunch away into the equations, could input their ability into the set up. It was hardly a risk except on the edges of their ability, that was where they felt the most alive. A figure caught their gaze in the distance, it was strange to see another runner out at this time. Kay began to veer direction, their own movements now secretive. Stalking a free runner may seem off task but even though they could not see them clearly the colour and size reminded them of Hunter. Would he be that stupid to take to the sky? Maybe, he was only human. - Bloodstream - Sienna was worried that one of the rare hallucinations they suffered from were on her. She had plied on another pair of gloves to replace the melted ones, the flow of blood was now a dribble. Gloves thrown in with the coat she ignored the shakes she got watching the shadows. "Hello?" Sienna said aloud. Her words stuttered nervous. "No one there silly, just your imagination." There could be other people down there, other cleaners but it felt like something else. They continued to jitter along, the squeaking getting to them even worse. She had to keep thinking about how close to the exit they were, how soon it would all be over.

- Lupus Canis - Lupus continued to servery the area as he waited from the convoy to leave the Airport, moments later the convoy Broker talked about started to appear out of the back of the Airport and started to move down the road "theres the convoy, now to make sure its stays the course" he said looking at the Citadel just out of the view, turning back to the convoy it was going smooth for now

- Hunter - As Luke looked across the cityscape, he spotted someone, or rather something moving across the rooftops. I wonder who that could be. Even his thoughts dripped with sarcasm, possibly the same time he'd use if he ever came across Kay and judging from the movements of the figure heading towards him, leaping from roof to roof, he figured that little reunion would come along soon. Luke quickly examined the other rooftops, trying to calculate whether or not he'd be able to make a jump in time. Some were rough, others bold, yet none of the jumps seemed to allow him to get away. Fuck it. Luke pulled out the black steel rod, pushing the button and felt it spring and transform into his black recurve bow. His breath hitched in his throat, as he felt his arms become engrossed by goosebumps. Luke reached for his quiver, and soon felt himself pulling an arrow back and holding it, aiming it at the approaching figure.

- Venator - Compared to the chaos above, the ambulance garage was surprisingly peaceful. True, the sirens still echoed in the distance, but at least there was less screaming. Slipping through the shadows of the dimly lit space, Venator mused that this was really her element. Since coming to the city, she had managed to fall into precious few battles, and the Recurve was itching for combat. At that moment, as if her call had been answered, she heard the squeaking of a trolley. Strange, considering the situation... Ducking into cover, she stopped, and waited.

- Kay - Kay knew this place it was familiar and as they continued they realised why, though they approached from another direction it became obvious as they could see Hunter outlined on the roof. It was him and this was there, the first place they had met. Kay was sure now. It had to be. Well it didn't but even Kay enjoyed the feeling of when a circle was complete, all the ends tucked up. They were within a roof of where he stood when his arms grasped at a bow the shaft glinting in the sunlight. Kay skidded to a halt, their weight balanced ready to spring as they stood on the opposing rooftop hands held above their head the same as someone surrendering might do. They yelled across the divide. "Hunter!" Their voice echoed a little catching in the gap. "I just need to talk!" It was a small hope that he was going to talk to them after hanging up earlier but Kay still wanted to try. Their small reserve of friendship was still present but the ill omen of the roof made Kay think of a perfect circle where the life they had saved they took. - Bloodstream - An alarm finally began to ring in the dark corridor lighting it with flashes of red. Someone out of the guards had run a siren of warning at last. Sienna hesitated a second a tiny part of her about to abandon the trolley. It was an irrational part that seemed to believe she was a janitor. "Can't leave you behind. Too dangerous to be left alone." She muttered "Get you out to the incinerator burn you up." Her face screwed up in a brief sneer at ever lowering herself to janitorial work, replaced by panic as she pushed the trolley forward towards the exit. It was maybe a couple of strides away. Behind her by a reasonable distance a few other workers from the underbelly began to move a few of the others carrying tasks like bags of trash they could not abandon to the exit, some of them grumbling that it must be another stupid drill others complaining about the city going to hell in a hand-basket a couple of paramedics leaving their smoke break behind. At the door Sienna spotted the packet Alice must have been referencing and stooped to pick it up placing it on her trolley in a swift movement. Almost there. Almost there.

- Acchilleus - "No, which is why I'm glad you came," said Acchilleus as he spun on his heels, arms behind his back and his crooked smile plastered on his face. Surrounded by hunters and killers, and all of which with their blades or guns aimed at the enemy. Murderers can be so underrated. But I guess you can call them soldiers. There's not much difference. "I want you to find Luke Jones, I'm not sure where he is or what he does. But find him and either keep him as a hostage, or kill him. Either will do, but of course we don't want this getting public attention. If anyone catches you, you don't work for me. I will publicly get you out, and claim that I'll be running a rehabilitation scheme in The Safe Zone where you will be heavily monitored, and generally separated from other civilians. But get the job done. He's more useful alive than dead, but nothing is stopping you from going all the way." And so the scene is set, the play has started and the actors are getting into place. Only this time, this isn't some bullshit adaptation or music. No this is one of my favourite types of plays. A tragedy. Watch the hero fly too high, but hopefully Luke Jones doesn't mind the fall. Never regret thy fall, O Icarus of the fearless flight for the greatest tragedy of them all is never to feel the burning light.

- Benedict Strahm - One two three floors leaving the hospital safely, forth floor being roped down by Benedict overseeing them. Alarm didn't go off yet, but the atmosphere was calm enough. Just as the last one arrived to the floor the alarm started blaring, some patients went into a panic attack and started to run towards the nearest end, granted it was already safe but the atmosphere wasn't appreciated. They partially dragged Benedict by sheer force to the repeating sounds of, "whoa, calm down!" It was nearing the end when Benedict finally lost his footing and fell down. Someone stepped on his back, but at least he fell when he was at the end of the crowd. He stood up, dusted himself off, and realized something was missing. "Gah, my cigarettes." Cancer sticks, essential for him to function. Fortunately he was in a more wide open space, the ambulance garage which was left wide open, and before long he found his packed. "Thank christ." He picked up the packet, tucked it in his pocket, and ran to join the rest of the people who are being treated by the police.
